I do not get the negative reviews on here. This is a great, huge, American Style hotel who bent over backwards to please us. The rooms are big and clean. They are NOT outdated. They have breakfast included. It's located off the beaten path in a quiet place that's a 10 Euro cab ride to the Vatican so you don't... More

We have stayed at this hotel for about ten years in a row. When we first stayed there we were excited because it had a beautiful pool and free parking unusual for Italy although it was a 35 minute walk to the Vatican. But in the last several years it has gone terribly down hill .The staff likes to argue... More

On my recent trip to Rome I stayed at this hotel 2 nights and was disappointed as its location is terrible. There is nothing close by (within walking distance) other than Vatican City which is a hike. The lobby is impressive but that's about it. The carpet in the halls and room were stained, and the buffet breakfast left much to... More

Extraordinarily offhand service. I would NOT recommend this hotel - fleas (!), non-helpful staff, restaurant too expensive, pool (one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel) only open June-August despite brilliant weather in September

I stayed in september 2011 The hotel is expensive and all extras are expensive ( eg internet even in the lobby has costs ), The stuff is not friendly, The locatiion is far away from any public transport. Although it was terribly hot the pool was closed. The bar was often without service. rooms are ok. Breakfast as usual. I... More

Good things: -It is a nice hotel with a wonderful breakfast for being Italy. -You have a nice big pool. The hotel is fine if you plan to stay at the hotel your whole time. -Close to a big street when you can big food in a supermarket and there are some restaurants also. -The hotel is located on a... We just returned from Rome where we spent 7 wonderful days in the middle of August. Hot month but dry heat, quite bearable. we chose the NH villa carpegna hotel for its pool, free parking and location, in a quiet, residential neighborhood not far from the center: We did have a car and had no problem parking "in the center"... I cant say that my standards are above the norm, and I have stayed at many hotels around the world. Im not sure what standards have been used by the people that have recommended this hotel. The lobby has been updated but the rooms are in desperate need of an update. The front desk staff seemed to be put out... More

From the time we arrived the staff we rude and it felt like we were always bothering them when asking a question. The rooms are very dated and in desperate need of updating. Food was fine, not a lot of selection. The pool was nice except that you had to wear a bathing cap when swimming......well some people did and... More
