Definitely worth the money. Great service, really friendly staff and beautiful breakfast spread. Just a stones throw away from the vatican, and right beside one of the best shopping districts. The ottaviano metro stop is just 2 minutes walk away which will take you straight to many of the attractions and for 1euro per journey you cant complain. Every night... More

We stayed in the Consoli for a long weekend. The hotel is ideally placed for trips to St Peter's and the Vatican Museum but be warned on the latter, arrive really early as the queues can be horrendous. The reception was fast and efficient, the rooms are not big but they are stylish, very clean and the showers excellent. I... More

A very nice hotel! Close to Vatican and only 20 minute walk to the Spannish Steps and other attractiona. There was a nice restaurant not far away. The hotle is very close to a major shopping area. Our room was very clean and quite, but small. Staff was helpful and responsive. We visited Florence for three days and they hold... More

We read a lot of great reviews for this hotel on this site and we thought we would give it a try. The hotel was clean and pretty, but I was dissapointed in the customer service especially after the rave reviews that people had given them. The first night we were there, we asked for a dinner recommendation. The concierge... More

Great location for sightseeing, very close to St. Peters. On a busy shopping street with couple of good restaurants nearby. Only drawbacks are, no restaurant and rooms quite small..so you don't want to stay in much! Minor niggles, but you would have to pay more, or stay further out to get better facilities. The great news is that Rome getes... More

Before I start to talk about the hotel. A word ot WARNING!! At the airport we showed the taxi driver the details of our hotel. After a round the world tour we realised, with a little arguement from the taxi driver, that there are two Hotel Dei Consoli's in Rome. One near the airport and one near the Vaticam. YOU... More

This Hotel was great, the location was excellent and we walked everywhere. I have to agree with everyone else the bedroom was tiny even by english standards but we were hardly in it and the bed was a good size but a little hard for my taste. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and finished in beautiful marble and wood. The... More

We chose this hotel after reading the excellent reviews on this site. It wasn't the cheapest option, but I can really say that it was worth every extra euro! The hotel is located close to the Vatican and is a good base to explore the area's museums and landmarks. The "Ancient Rome" is about a 20 minutes' walk through nice... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
