Excellent small hotel ideally located near St Peter's Square and the Vatican. The room was of a reasonable size for Rome and had a balcony to enjoy the fresh air. Air conditioning worked well. The breakfast, served in the roof garden bar, was very good and unusually served bacon and eggs. It was very clean and well looked after. Some... More

We stayed in July 2015. Conveniently located to visit the Vatican and easy access to public transport and reasonable restaurants. Despite all the good efforts from Fabricio at the entrance (when on shift and present), the disappointment is the very limited facilities that would be expected from a 4 star hotel and a 4 star priced hotel.

I would probably give it a 3.5 out of 5 as there are some good bits which do push it towards a 4. Great spot for a visit to Rome. Near a tube station and a number of bus routes and more importantly very close to St. Peter's square! We walked to the main areas a few times and it... More

Hotel is well situated, minutes from the Vatican, the subway station (Ottaviano) and many good restaurants. Minutes walk from SIT bus stop (Beware! streets in Rome have not all names on them, if you are like me and are more paper map than Smart phone GPS you might have problems finding your hotel) In my opinion the hotel is not... Stayed at this hotel for a city break in March 2014. The web site is truthful, all the facilities mentioned exist, but the scale is not as expected. Reception is a desk under the stairs, there is no other ground floor. The central feature of the hotel is the stairwell / lift. There is a bar on the first floor... More

There is so much to see, do and experience in Rome that if you are spending a lot of time in your hotel, you are doing it wrong. This hotel is exactly what you need; clean, quiet and comfortable with helpful enough staff. Very nice roof terrace for breakfast buffet, which itself is pretty good considering the Italians only seem... More

Easy to locate and close not only to many sights but local places to eat and public transport (if needed, if you want a cab ask the reception guy who is more than willing to help and even helped plan alternative routes back to the hotel highlighting beautiful points of interest). The guy on reception (sorry forgot his name) was... More

We traveled to Rome and wanted to stay close to Vatican. The location is perfect! 5 minutes walk to St Peter's Cathedral and short walk to the city centre. We also walked to Colosseum as it only took us 40 minutes - it was not too hot! The hotel is called a "boutique hotel" - this might be true since... More

This hotel is a rip off. I booked a hotel room through Secret Escapes website to stay in the hotel for one night because my flight had an 18 hours overlay in Rome. Unfortunately the flight changed because airline maintenance and instead of leaving at 6:00 am will be leaving at 2:00 am, not leaving me time to check-in the... More

For Rome the size of room is quite all right, everything you need is there. Very friendly and helpful staff, a family enterprise, clean rooms. The breakfast is served on a protected terrace on 4th floor which is a very nice and relaxing location. From a terrace corner you can see St. Peter's. Ideal for discovering Rome by foot and... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
