This hotel is a rip off. I booked a hotel room through Secret Escapes website to stay in the hotel for one night because my flight had an 18 hours overlay in Rome. Unfortunately the flight changed because airline maintenance and instead of leaving at 6:00 am will be leaving at 2:00 am, not leaving me time to check-in the... More

For Rome the size of room is quite all right, everything you need is there. Very friendly and helpful staff, a family enterprise, clean rooms. The breakfast is served on a protected terrace on 4th floor which is a very nice and relaxing location. From a terrace corner you can see St. Peter's. Ideal for discovering Rome by foot and... More

They say 'money talks, wealth whispers', if that's true then this hotel is truly a wealthy place! Quiet, discreet and charming with lavish appointments, the rooms are on the small side, but what ltheylack in size they make up for in quality. The staff are helpful to a fault and the breakfast on your own balcony overlooking the ancient streets... More

Very good location close to the Vatican. Small rooms and small toilet/shower, but does the job. Book it for the location, the rooms and the standard of them are only average. Close also to shops, metro, busses. A minus was that upon arrival we were sent to another adress to get the key-although only 10 min. away, this is not... More

For the price this place is a nice small hotel in a great area...steps away from the Vatican. Great terrasse to enjoy breakfast with view of St-Peters... Decor is old... classic style... but clean. I would go back without hesitation.

We stayed at the second floor junior suite. The place was very clean and adequate for crashing there after sightseeing but it was very small for the three of us. Basically, just a double bed (or maybe they were two twin beds pushed together) and a fold out bed. The bathroom very clean and modern and good water pressure (shower... More

I truly go far back with this beautiful hotel (15 years). Back before Italy exchanged Lire for Euro, this hotel was an absolute bargain. Today, it's a luxury that's worth the extra money. The decor is true Italian style; mosaic floors, oil paintings, lots of classic wood, fine comforters, and Egyptian cotton sheets. Some rooms have terraces, and others have... More

This small, older, hotel has an excellent location, close to St Peter's Square, Castell Sant Angelo and the Tiber river. The amenities are not plenty and the rooms, at least ours, are small. But they are also clean, the beds are good, the windows take away the noise from the street and the staff is helpful. The view from the... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
