We stayed at the Pace Helvezia in December for four nights as part of a group tour. Our room was at the back of the hotel--and with the exception of some rowdies in the courtyard below on Saturday night--was very quiet. The room was of reasonable size by European standards, with a large, clean and updated bathroom. As for room... More

I visited this Hotel in September with my wife and parents. What should have been a lovely week away with family, turned out to be a week in the Rome version of Fawlty Towers. Upon arriving at the Hotel, we went up to our room to shower and to get organised before embarking on a trip around this fantastic City.... More

As a member of a tour group, I did not have a choice of where to stay in Rome. This hotel gives the impression of luxury (and this is reflected in the posted room rates), but upon close inspection, it is a bit "tired" and could use some minor repairs. For example - our lampshades had burn marks and our... More

Stayed in October for 3 nights in a single room which the hotel ensured was next to my friends room with whom I had travelled. Single rooms are adequate as a base to explore and have all that you need and some rooms appeared to have small balconies overlooking the city which would be lovely A quaint hotel , "olde... More

We were scheduled to stay at the Genio Hotel in Rome, but our reservation was transferred to this "sister" hotel. What luck! I've read reviews of this hotel since my return from Italy, but here is my take. The hotel is now named "Hotel Pace Elvezia" and is located at 104 Via IV Novembre, directly across the street from the... More

I did not feel the hotel was worth the room rate charged. The room was adequately cleaned but not spotless. My hair dryer and TV did not work. They advertised free WiFI but their system was down for two of the three days I was there. When I asked about it the gentleman in Registration simply shrugged his shoulders and... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in a triple room on the 4th floor. Positive: Perfect location in the middle of Rome, all the major sights are within walking distance. The area is a bit boring when it comes to restaurants and bars, but they can be reached within a 10-15 minute walk. The roof top terrace is amazing both... More

Dear Dittelund, thanks for your kind review, we are glad that you liked the top terrace, the staff, room's size and cleaning. We apologize for the taxi issue, there is a difference between the normal rate and the private transfer rate because in the second case the driver waites for you in the airport, it is very reassuring for some... I stayed for a week and a half at the end of August and beginning of September and we had a great experience at the hotel. Rude receptionist Francesco didn't allow my friends to visit my room, then he started arguing with me. My friends were shocked. 3* not 4*. From bread to cereal, breakfast was too sweet. Good location.

The view from the hotel's rooftop is really amazing, but the hotel is expensive and its WiFi doesn't function, nor does mob.Internet - presumably due to thick walls. A bus stop is close for buses that go to/from Termini - but don't forget to buy a bus ticket (in a "Tabacchi" store - the nearest is close to the Café... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
