Location is just one of the positives with this hotel. Central to most of the sights you want to visit, Short walk to Trevi fountain, Coloseum, and all the other tourist sights, main shops, rustic back alleys, restaurants and bars. We are the wrong side of 60, and a nice amble to the Vatican took around 40 mins. The Hotel... More

Central location for walking everywhere, beautiful rooftop terrace with amazing views. Lovely quiet room at the rear of the hotel. Room has hairdryer, mini bar, shampoo, shower gel, soap, shower caps and shoe shine. Loads of choice at buffet breakfast. Would definitely recomend this hotel to family

I'd seen this hotel described as 'tired' and I can see what that person meant, but that just added to the appeal for me. Rome is so ancient, the hotel just fitted. All was spotlessly clean so a bit of faded gentility is charming in this location. The view from the (deserted) roof terrace was breathtaking, and the receptionists could... More

A very well positioned hotel and 2/3 days would be about right, any longer and a better quality hotel would be required . But if you require a short break this hotel is great ! ,varied breakfast ,close to the sites and a fantastic roof terrace for your night caps . Small bathroom , but a good powerful shower. Don't... Next to Trajans markets and column, a stones throw from the Forum and Piazza Venezia, a short walk to the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain and just a little further to the Pantheon. Great for an early coffee and a late evening drink. Couldn't recommend the location more highly. All in all the hotel is fine. The building is impressive.... More

We stayed at the Pace Helvezia in December for four nights as part of a group tour. Our room was at the back of the hotel--and with the exception of some rowdies in the courtyard below on Saturday night--was very quiet. The room was of reasonable size by European standards, with a large, clean and updated bathroom. As for room... More

I visited this Hotel in September with my wife and parents. What should have been a lovely week away with family, turned out to be a week in the Rome version of Fawlty Towers. Upon arriving at the Hotel, we went up to our room to shower and to get organised before embarking on a trip around this fantastic City.... More

As a member of a tour group, I did not have a choice of where to stay in Rome. This hotel gives the impression of luxury (and this is reflected in the posted room rates), but upon close inspection, it is a bit "tired" and could use some minor repairs. For example - our lampshades had burn marks and our... More

Stayed in October for 3 nights in a single room which the hotel ensured was next to my friends room with whom I had travelled. Single rooms are adequate as a base to explore and have all that you need and some rooms appeared to have small balconies overlooking the city which would be lovely A quaint hotel , "olde... More

We were scheduled to stay at the Genio Hotel in Rome, but our reservation was transferred to this "sister" hotel. What luck! I've read reviews of this hotel since my return from Italy, but here is my take. The hotel is now named "Hotel Pace Elvezia" and is located at 104 Via IV Novembre, directly across the street from the... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
