We booked a room with 1 double bed, a bunk bed for the kids with breakfast included. Breakfast was a buffet and was very tasty. The staff at the counter were very friendly and the hotel itself felt like it was designed for kids and families - there was even a PlayStation 3 in the room (however it did not... More

Very friendly staff, very helpful and nice! Hotel has rooms with open balconies helpful if you are a smoker. Nothing special in the rooms, but very clean and comfy. Although we found only one socket, which made the whole charging process a bit challenging) Good breakfast for a 3 star hotel. The location is a bit far from termini and... More

The hotel is situated in the university of the city and to be perfectly fair this could put you off staying there. However once you acclimatise to the area it is the perfect value for money hotel. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are more than adequate. One drawback could be the size of the shower cubicle, a... More

This is practically and update since I was at this hotel before. The rooms facing the Main Street are noisy and could be a problem ( but who comes to Rome to sleep in ). The quadruple rooms are very spacious with 2 queen beds. The bathroom is clean and recently renovated. The included breakfast is very good and the... More

The hotel is fine for the class. The staff are nice and welcoming, the breakfast was great, delicious with good variety. the air condition in the room works good. No minibar but they put 2 bottles of water (one natural and one bubbly) in the fridge every day. The room has safe box, flat TV, electric water boiler for tea... More

My wife and I had 2 days to visit Rome from our 2 week trip to Italy, mind you it was middle of July and the weather was extremely hot, the AC was cold not a fancy fan but really cold if you desired, rooms were very clean and the personnel in front was friendly and willing accommodate what you... Stayed in the Globus when in Rome last week. The Globus is a perfect mid-range hotel in Rome a little distance from the main tourist areas. Its good for its grade. Rooms - clean and functional. We had a family room, two twin beds. a little cramped but we hadn’t planned to spend any time at the hotel outside of... More

I was on a short business trip and this hotel is very conveniently located near the University, where I needed to visit. So this was a good choice although it is away from the attractions. what struck me the most was how child friendly it is. A play area in the lobby, and special baby plates and glasses at the... This isn't a 5-star hotel or anything, but for the price and being in Rome, this place was excellent with a lot of space. Beds were super comfortable. Plenty of storage space. Quiet, clean, laid out nicely. The front-desk clerks didn't run away pulling their hair even after we bugged them sufficiently with questions and suggestions. They were so patient,... More

This hotel is was a mixed bag of experiences. The bathrooms are poorly fitted, moldy and smell bad inspire of being 're-done'. On the other hand the staff with the exception of the bike riding guy who parks in the front lobby were very nice. Being of South Asian Descent but American was not a plus. Breakfast was pretty good... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
