Our last leg of the 2 weeks trip was in Rome. We picked best Western throughout our journey in Italy and I have to say this is one of the good ones we have experienced in a while. The hotel is not in the center of the city and thus the location is in the suburbs. However taxi services and... More

My partner and I booked this hotel after reading all the wonderful reviews of the staff and customer service. We were tremendously disappointed as for the first three days the receptionists were rude and customer service was appalling. After all when you have traveled a long way to visit someone's country you would expect the staff of the hotel you... More

We apology for the inconvenince you had: it is really the first time some guests refer about such attitude of our staff. Generally as you personally state we receive congratulations. Just come back from 3 nights in the hotel. 8 minutes brisk walk from metro and Termini station. Not in the centre but for a reasonable priced hotel it was good. Could have stayed far more centrally, but at an extra cost. Room was large for 3 of us and fab bathroom. Not sure we were entitled to dressing gowns... More

Dear Bluepurse, thank you for expressing your comment about your recent stay with us! Afterall, as you have seen the location is not such a big trouble! We are very close to the metro station Policlinico and either bus 310 and tram passes by every 10 min. We wish to welcome you again in the next near future. Warm regards,... More

if you want a reasonable and not expensive hotel in Rome, you always can go with this Best Westerns. But don't expect something very good. I'm a platinum member of BW Gold Crown program - but the room was an average (really not a very good) room. Typically Best Western - low range. Ok so far.

The hotel was not expensive, but in January all hotel services are relatively cheap (low season). The location of the property is perfect - it is close to the main train station, but not exactly next to it. It is also close to trams, busses and metro station - in few minutes walking. The location is not on a busy... More

Don't be put off by the outside of this hotel or the area it's in, go inside and it's a little gem, you are met by friendly staff who do all they can to make your stay a pleasant one, there's even a welcome cup of coffee if you need it, the hotel is clean and bright, the room we... More

We stayed here for three days. The hotel is close to Termini Station. Termini station can be reached by Bus 310 which stops right in front of the hotel or by Taxi around 10 Euros. We made one day trip to Pisa and Florence. Our train was early in the morning. The hotel staff provided us box breakfast which was... More

This hotel was very close to the policlinico metro station, which was only a few stops away from the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. We had a room with a kingsize bed, but the bathroom was very small and not very practical. Also there was a lot of noise from the street and from other rooms.

We stayed here for four days in February. We got the train from the airport and then the 310 bus from the terminus to the hotel. They had kindly emailed the bus number before we went. I would certainly recommend getting the train rather than paying for expensive transfers. The staff were always very helpful with advice about local transport,... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
