We stayed here for 8 day on March 20. It was a very nice hotel . The people at the front desk could not be more helpful. Any question we had they were very happy to answer for us. They spoke English very well. We had trouble with the safe . The battery was low so we couldn't work it... More

Hotel was chosen due to location: quiet street away from Termini. The only good thing about our stay in Rome......staff very rude, unhelpful. After 1 night, we left and stayed at a better hotel. Avoid

I rarely have negative reviews on hotels but Astoria Garden took the cake! The drama unfolded before we even arrived... I mistakenly booked 3 nights at Astoria but only needed 2. When I called the hotel to make the correction, they refused to give me a refund for the one night, so I lost $157! I'm not too fussy, so... More

I recently went on a weekend break to Rome with my partner, Mum and Dad. We chose this hotel, as location-wise it ticks all the boxes. Let me start with the positives.... This hotel is in a really good location, only around a ten minute walk to the Termini train station, a few minutes away from a local supermarket, but... More

The Hotel was lovely. As my girlfriend and myself were only there for a long weekend we were not in the room that much; but when ever we came back at night the rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. This hotel was a very nice place to stay and I would recommend to others. However... More

Really handy to termini, buses, trams. Great value for a three star hotel in Rome. The front of house staff were all so nice and friendly and helpful. Rooms not the biggest but remember it is a 3 star hotel. Ask for room facing garden in main part of hotel. Our second time here, will certainly be back.

Needed a one-night stay near Termini station for an early train. Too bad we couldn't have stayed longer. If you want to make Termini your Rome base, this is a great little hotel. Excellent staff, good breakfast, really nice grounds and rooms. We arrived early from our other Rome hotel, but had no problem leaving bags with the front desk... More

The hotel is very close to Termini station and is in a quiet area. The hotel is very clean and cozy. The staff is helpful and friendly and the breakfast is quite various. When we come to Rome, we will definitely choose this hotel again.

We only spent one night in Rome, wish we would have stayed longer. The hotel staff were very helpful answering our questions about the area. They have a lovely garden, which would have been a nice place to relax if we had more time. The rooms were clean and nice but simple - no wasted space (small) but enough room... More

Ideal for a short trip to Rome, 5-7 min walk from Termini station. The hotel has a nice entrance, very friendly staff and inviting interior. The rooms are not not very spacious but they have enough furniture, good lighting & are very clean, so no complaints. The breakfast was a cold continental variety on offer, enough to choose from. I... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
