The bloke behind reception is probably the friendliest man in the world. He is lovely goes out of his way to help you. Hes very cheerful and funny. Cant remember his name but hes there on a morning with glasses on. He needs a payrise. The garden is very pretty. Nice for a coffee. The heat and the breakfast make... More

We loved the location of this hotel. Just a few blocks from the station and away from the crowds. The courtyard is a nice retreat from the city. The neighborhood is quiet in the evening, and there are several very good restaurants within a block or 2. If you like to explore, go north from the hotel and a little... More

I have stayed in this hotel three times in the past few years. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location within walking distance of the Termini was ideal. But, This visit seemed to be more difficult than before and I am not sure why. We had trouble with the wifi, the plugs, and simple things things like hot... More

We loved this place. The room was small but the patio made it lovely. No tub and small shower, but it was clean and worked for us. There's a little bar with low prices. Nice breakfast. A sitting area with bookshelf with travel books and more. Can walk from termini in a safe neighborhood. Very nice employees.

We stayed at this hotel about 9 years ago and chose to stay again prior to a rail journey. Close proximity to Termini, hotel is clean, breakfast was very nice, staff very helpful. For the price, this is a great choice. Wish it were a couple of blocks on the other side of Termini but would probably cost quite a... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night after a week vacation touring Italy. I chose the hotel based on its proximity to Termini station as we were leaving for the airport the next morning. From other reviews I knew the neighborhood was not the best but it is really bad with graffiti and closed businesses boarded up, etc. The hotel... More

Breakfast was one of a kind.....I would rate 10 / 10 for breakfast. Overall,I will surely recomond this Hotel at a good price to... More

Overcharging and poor to terrible customer service. Our flight to Rome got cancelled due to a fire at Leonardo da Vinci airport. I called the hotel right away and they wrote back by e-mail, they could only wave the hotel charges( $279), if someone else needed the room. I was told at my arrival, that I will have to pay... I'm a little late posting this one as we visited mid May so I'll do my best to remember all the key points. Flights and Transfers: Flights were with Ryan Air from Manchester to Rome Ciampino and we pre-booked our seats to avoid the scramble and were rather impressed as we've never flown with them before. Not the most luxurious... More

We stayed at Welcome Piram when we first arrived in Rome (See my separate review on that). Now that we visited Florence and Venice and is back here for an overnight before we catch our plane back to US, I decided to stay in another hotel for different flavor and located this 3 star hotel on the google map. The... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
