Couldn't sing the praises of this hotel more if I tried. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Nothing was too much bother for them. Yes the rooms are smallish but what do people want to do in them, why do people insist on having a big room and spend the time in there asleep or... More

Staff has been extremely helpful, as I am a solo female traveler with limited Italian language skills. Garden view room is beautiful with a balcony overlooking palm and citrus trees- a happy surprise in January! Location is quiet despite being near busy Termini area, and no shortage of places to eat nearby. Room is clean and there is a safe... More

Very nice hotel and good value - very clean etc. We had a good sized room overlooking garden. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to Termini but on a quiet side street. Can walk to most sights in Rome or get bus/metro from Termini - very easy. Staff recommended 2 really nice restaurants close by - good value and very... More

We chose the hotel due to its location as we were visiting Rome to do some sight seeing. It's a comfortable 5 minute stroll from the main termini/metro station, so and ideal base to explore Rome. The rooms, although spotlessly clean, are decorated in a rather dated fashion and are very small, however for a city centre hotel this isn't... More

We were in room 306 from 15 to 19 December and we want to thank the entire staff! They make our stay in Rome great! The room was always clean and the breakfast was rich and fresh! The receptionists are great professionals with a friendly feeling /greetings to the gentleman who helped us at check-in/! At our next visit to... More

I have just returned from the Astoria Garden having spent 3 nights there with my wife a nod some friends. We had an amazing time in Rome. The hotels itself is located in a quiet street but close enough to the centre, the shops and all the attractions you will want to see. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms... More

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is a 5 minute walk from Termini Station, Metro and bus stances. The hotel staff made us feel so welcome on arrival and each time we came back to the hotel at the end of the day. Breakfast was of continental style with ham , cheeses, pastries and even scrambled egg. There... More

Location: Convenient to the Termini station, busses, Metro, taxis, and tour busses (about 3 + blocks -- 10 min. walk). Area: Relatively safe even though graffiti is found on a school across the street. Hotel: Family owned and operated --owner (porter), manager (son), and daughter-in-law --oversees breakfast room. Front desk clerks: Friendly and provided excellent customer service. Room: Small, clean... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
