My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at Barberini Hotel. We were excited about visiting Rome for the first time. We wanted a luxury hotel that was close to the various museums. The one and only positive about this hotel is it's location. From there is goes down hill. The AC is terrible unless you enjoy sleeping in a... More

Yes, the location is good as you can walk to most sites. Also, there's shops on either side of the hotel where you can buy water, drinks & snacks for cheap. What upsets me is when I did a search for hotels I specifically requested wifi & AC as the minimums. Well, the wifi does not work in the room.... More

Good news first and the reason why it's even a poor rating. The location was good and the women at the check in counter was very nice as well as the staff working the breakfast buffet. We'll start with the check in, I believe his name was Luca, what an arrogant and unprofessional individual. No help from Luca at all... More

Nice hotel in the center of Rome. Only 35 rooms, free breakfast, small but nice. Ask for room on the 5th floor with a balcony. It will have a good view and you can walk up the steps to the dining room.

Stayed at this hotel on our visit to Rome. Good location, fairly nice accommodations. However, the staff was very disappointing. They were relatively unfriendly, less than accommodating, and our trainee who checked us in could not do much without consulting her colleague, who was unavailable. So, a rough start. Later, when I realized all the pillows in the rooms were... More

Had a very peaceful and relaxing 3 nights here following a cruise. Room 401. No view, but the -01 rooms are tucked away on each floor from the other rooms and so more secluded. We did have a pro violinist rehearsing on our floor one evening, but he was excellent so we had a free concert while relaxing after a... More

Spent 4 nights here. The room was very clean and fresh. It was a little small but very comfortable. It is in a great location. We could walk to everything. We are good walkers so we even walked back from the Vatican. The bedding was very comfortable. Breakfast was served upstairs in a lovely room overlooking the city of Rome.... More

Great location. Great staff. Great breakfast. Clean, quiet, comfortable room. The front desk even arranged for a private car (Mercedes) with a driver to the airport for only 2 Euros more than a taxi without the haggling. We will stay there again!

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
