Dear aleeobm1, thanks for your kind review about our location, close to San Giovanni, Santa Croce in Gerusalemme and Manzoni metro station. We don't have a bar but there are many good bars and bakeries in the area. Thanks for choosing our hotel for so many times! We hope to host you again soon. More

I stayed at Hotel Bled for a week and loved it. The hotel is clean, comfy and quaint. The staff was super. Very helpful and very knowledgable. The hotel also has a variety of terraces that make for incredible places to drink your own wine. I actually don't believe some of the negative comments. Like, I actually think they have... More

We did a 4 night stay in Rome, booked into what was listed as a 3 star hotel. Single rooms are small and compact, showers work (sometimes with hot water too) and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast looked pretty but turned out to be stale. Although the staff were fantastic, very friendly and enthusiastic. Sorry Hotel Bled but 1... More

It is a great place and really affordable. They aren't very welcoming to school groups though so it would probably be more of a place for couples. The breakfasts were great and the rooms were very clean. They also had free wifi which was really handy and were reasonably close to nearby landmarks.

In Rome for 4 days, wanted somewhere near to centre..check. Reasonable cost...check. Comfy bed..check. English speaking...check. All the negative comments from people, go pay more or shut up !! This hotel does what it says on the tin. All the little things are or should be forgotten when you spend such little time in your room in such a beautiful... More

I booked this hotel, then read about it later on Trip advisor! I was prepared to walk in, complain, and hammer the barclaycard getting another hotel. Needn't have worried. Our room was clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate. I didn't visit the annexe, so can't comment on it but the main building was actually lovely. Breakfasts were great - cereals, fruit,... More

Visited this hotel on may 16th - 19th 2014 Firstly given a tiny room that smelled really badly, requested another room and was told none available, so I stood my ground and after making a heated phone call to someone - I know not who - the receptionist gave us a family room that in general was fine and comfortable,... The owners own several hotels in Rome. at hey double book people and then move them between hotels. I was booked for 2 nights here but was moved without explanation or apology via taxi that I has to pay for to another hotel for the second night. The other hotel was in a poor location, filthy and had bed mites.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
