Not a lot to add to the previous recent reviews. Just wanted to keep the ball rolling to maintain the recommendations for this hotel. If you're in Rome for the historical sights then this must be the place to stay. It's in the middle of the old part, with narrow winding cobbled streets and little squares to amble round. There's... My wife and I have stayed at the Nazionale 3 times and I am about to book it for a 4th. Unlike the United States, many/most of buildings in Rome are comparitively old. If you keep this in mind and enjoy the atmosphere, you will find the Nazionale a warm, traditionally Italian, convenient place to stay in the heart of... More

Can't say enough about this hotel. My wife and I recently returned from our stay in Rome at the Hotel Nazionale. Our room, on the third floor overlooking a private area, was very quiet and of nice size. The breakfast was more than adequate. Patrick at the Front Desk could not have been more helpful and Roberto in the Il... More

Having been to Rome about 20 times in the last 3 years for business, I have come to know the city as best a tourist can. I have stayed in various locations throughout the city, but always love to come back to the Nazionale in the 'heart' of the city. Where else can you have no agenda and simply wander... More

I chose this hotel based on the location as my husband and I wanted to be within walking distance to most of the major attractions and it was great for that (Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps & Colosseum). The breakfast included was also great with a lot of variety even when you arrive 1/2 an hour before they close. Overall... More

The five of us, two kids, two parents and a grandmother, spent 4 nights at this hotel. It is located in the heart of ancient Rome, within walking distance of the forum, the spanish steps, the fountain of Trevi, the forum, the coliseum and the Vittorio Emanuelle II monument. Staff will direct you to city bus for an easy 15... More

We recently stayed at the Nazionale for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The room was large, clean and the staff was absolutely fantastic and helpful. The location is perfect for checking out all the sights in Rome and there is a great gelato place just around the corner! More

Stayed for 6 nights in April 2012. Good location, right by the police station and government building. Big rooms, comfy bed and $15 unlimited movie promo was good; 24 hours. Downfall breakfast room was always busy and wifi for only an hour a day. Able to walk everywhere. More

This hotel was perfect and I couldnt say enough great things about it. I stayed recently with my boyfriend and we had originally only booked one night but since we fell in love with the hotel we booked another and didnt want to leave. Patrick, one of the nicest people I met in Rome, helped me out greatly and wanted... More

We were a family of four and booked two hotel rooms. One had been renovated and the other had not. The rooms were the same cost and came with breakfast. My advise is to request a renovated room. However, I don't think you'll be disappointed either way. The location is wonderful. We walked to all the sites with ease. More
