I stayed in various hotels but this one is the one I prefer. The staff is competent and friendly. I had the choice between three types of rooms, all were different and all fitted my expectations, the choice was difficult! Cleanliness, breakfast, location, nothing to complain. Will come back soon!

Great location- that's why you may want to stay here. Nice hotel- very "roman". Breakfast buffet was good. Rooms are nice. Getting to the front door of the hotel may be a challenge as the Policia block the street off and there are protests occasionally in front of the Pantheon- which is right in front of the hotel. Just lug... More

Centrally located in a very quiet piazza, the hotel is professionally run. All the staff were very helpful. The office manager, Roberta Liberati recommended delicious restaurants, all were excellent. The hotel breakfast was excellent, the best of any hotel we have stayed in Italy over the past 30 years. The fruit was very fresh and delicious. The hotel rooms were... More

Just got back from a week in Rome and can't say enough positive things about our stay at the Hotel Nazionale in Piazza Montecitorio. First off, the location can't be beat. We walked everywhere: Pantheon, Colosseum, Forum, Trevi fountain(sadly, currently under renovation), the Vatican, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Campo de' Fiori, Trastevere, Vatican, Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, etc.... Hotel is located minutes walk from all Rome's attractions. About 20 minutes walk to Colliseum, About 30 minutes walk to Vatican - yes we walked there. Pantheon just around the corner. Pleanty of designer shops and shopping centre 2 minutes away. And ofcourse delicious ice creams seconds away! Yum! Hotel itself is dated, but clean. Room we had was rather... More

A great hotel to use when in rome a strange taxi ride from airport ended with arrival at a wonderful and extremely comfortable hotel located within easy walking distance of all major sites. Service and rooms were of a very high standard and created a manic start to our Italian holiday

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
