We stayed for four nights at the Hotel Ciccerone. My sister had stayed there and told us it was a little further out but we were there in summer and love walking and seeing different areas that you w ould not normally go to.The staff were brilliant. Helpful in all areas of hotel needs and maps and routes to take. couldn't... more

Great location. Close to metro and in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. You can walk to various sites. The hotel staff was very helpful in every way. They anticipated our needs (giving us info that we hadn't even asked for yet) and helped with some personal phone calls by speaking Italian for us. Nice. It was hot and the room... more

We were at Rome Cicerone for our Honeymoon last year , and returned because we liked it so much , the stay and treatment from the staff was absolutely excellent again , and we stayed for a full 14 nights . We made friends with Sandro and Raimondo on the Breakfasting staff and Marco the night porter last year ,... more

Hotel Cicerone looks lovely on the website but is more mundane in person. The rooms were adequate and its' close to the sights. However, we found the cleanliness and maintanence to be laxing. The elevators often weren't working which is hard after a long hot day walking and having a room on the 6th floor. However, it was the rudeness... more

On our arrival, we found that the Taxi rates from the airport were steep. Although, when we arrived we found that the service in the hotel was excellent. A bell boy came and took our luggage to our room, despite how late it was. The very friendly concierge even booked our trip to Pompeii for us, which we would highly... more

While the location of the Cicerone is excellent, in particular for those with a special interest in St Peter's and the Vatican, and while rooms are adequate, we (my wife, adult son and I) were disappointed by a number of things. The hotel seems to be aimed mostly at large groups, and is overall in need of some freshening up.... more

The Cicerone Hotel far exceeded any expectations I had! It's centrally located to most attractions: I was within walking distance of St. Peter's, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Campo d'Fiori, the Pantheon, Piazza del Popolo, and the list goes on and on. It's also surrounded by some excellent places to eat. (There are lots of little cafes and restaurants on the... more

It was the first 3 nights me and my wife stayed to this hotel in our 2-week travel in Italy. This 4 star hotel provided us with calm nights which were really good for us. It was not very expensive comparing to other 4 star hotels as the location is not in the right centre of the city. But the... more

Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Good customer service. Bar was convenient but pricey. The cafe down the street and across the way was a better value with excellent service. more

The pictures on their web-site are fantastic, praise the photographer. The only good thing about the hotel is the location, which is nice but not ideal. The staff was largely rude and unwilling to help with changes to our reservation, the rooms are gloomy and tiny even for the most experienced European traveller, and for 330 Euros a night the... more
