This hotel has a great location. It looks good in the public areas. The rooms are small and poorly furnished. In the USA the rooms might get a 2 star rating. The front desk staff leaves much to be desired. There are no amenities such as ice or vending machines.

The hotel that we were originally booked into was a big let down so I will not name and shame them but they moved us to the Cicerone at there expense. my wife is a wheelchair user so we required a room big enough for her to move around in plus space for our grandson that travelled with us. we... We stayed here two nights. It took a day for management to come fix our safe. The air conditioning in my brother's room did not work. They would not do a money exchange. It is located near several very good Resturants and in walking distance from a church.

This hotel has a lovely lobby and the front desk employees were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel hallways and rooms need refurbishing. The carpet needs to be replaced and the showers have mold in the grout. Time for a facelift. The food in the restaurant was very good. It was very quiet in the rooms and the beds were... More

Excellent hotel! Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Very helpful staff and great location. About a 30 minute ride from train station. Public transportation is very centered. Many restaurants and walking is great to see the Vatican and other sites.

The location is the best part of this location. We did enjoy the bar near the lobby as a gathering plan for our large party. The service was excellent. The hotel rooms were fairly standard with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet included foods from all over Europe. Especially enjoyed the breads, meats and cheeses.

I have always liked the Cicerone. Its a clean friendly tourist hotel close to the centre of Rome. I have stayed here many times. But apparently its under new management and today I had one of the cheapest, nastiest breakfasts of my life. Watery orange flavoured beverage instead of sqeezed juice. What looked like tinned fruit salad. Great greasy slabs... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
