I stayed in this hotel with my mother for 8 nights. Since the first moment I've seen how great this hotel was (rooms, accommodations, facilities) and how amazing the staff was with us. Their helpfulness and attentetivness to our needs and requests was impeccable. All what I needed to do is ask for a reservation and it gets done in... More

If you are looking for a beautiful hotel, a few minutes from the all of the action yet a peaceful retreat at the end of a long sightseeing day, then the Hotel Splendide Royale is the place to stay. It is located on a hill just across the Borghese gardens yet just 5 minutes brisk walk to the Spanish steps.... More

This is a very well-run elegant hotel that is up to date. The location is convenient to the Spanish Steps. The hotel is near the crest of a hill, but it's not that difficult a walk. The breakfast had a nice selection of fruits, cheeses, and pastries, along with the usual eggs and bacon. The staff is attentive and courteous.... More

Our travel agent booked a fully escorted trip for us through Perillo. We asked for an extra day at the front and back end of the tour. While we were going to stay at another property a stones throw from Hotel Splendide, she encouraged us to stay here for a great first night. Was she right! Everything about the property... More

This hotel is located directly at a busy small street. The city center and Piazza Espagna is in about a15 minutes walking distance. The door man (porter) is dressed perfectly in a wonderful uniform. The receptionist was very friendly and has given us a warm welcome. The room was located with the window facing the courtyard. So it was quiet.... More

I recently spent ten days at this fine hotel, located in a gracious, peaceful Roman neighborhood, within walking distance of many important sites. The management and staff are exceptional, and there are several outstanding restaurants, serving mostly local residents, nearby. To be sure, it is priced as one would expect a luxury hotel to be, but it is worth the... More

My wife and I stayed here for our first visit to Rome and had a lovely time. The service above all was exceptional here. We were given a slightly dark room and I asked to move, the front desk were so nice about this and moved us to a lovely bright room, bigger than our first. Very good service. Reception... More

This was our second stay at this hotel. Our family stayed for 3 nights and loved the location. easy walking to great restaurants just off the Via Veneto. Rooms were large and well appointed . The breakfast room was renovated since our last visit and has a great view over the trees of the city. Despite being so central it... More

You want old fashion opulence, you want intimacy, you want amazing service, you want romance you want attention to detail.....? You will want the Hotel Splendide Royal. There was an initial hiccup with my reservation, but after communications with the reservations team this was remedied and the hotel kindly upgraded me to a Junior Suite with Terrace, which is a... This is a very special hotel and the only reason I would not give it a 5 star rating is because it does not have a coffee machine in the room, which seems to be standard for Italian hotels these days, and had no wifi in the bedrooms. There is a computer off the main lounge, which we used once... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
