What a perfect hotel for our anniversary! The room was big. Room 503. Although we didn't have a view..fire escape. That didn't bother us as that we weren't in our room all that much. We were off discovering the gorgeous city of Rome! Dinner at Mirabelle is a must if you can swing it. Go for at least a cocktail... More

Great hotel. Staff at front desk very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet on 6th floor served in a wow setting. Same for restaurant on 7th floor. Breakfast staff very attentive. Our room felt very luxurious and spacious for three of us. Bathroom roomy. Fabulous views of Borghese Garden. Easy walking distance to Spanish steps and other attractions. Doorman extremely courteous.... More

Outstanding Hotel in an outstanding locations with outstanding service. 5 minutes from the spanish steps and best street for shopping...but feels like in another world in Villa Borghese They arranged a great tour guide to take us through Vatican and Collessseum and took care of all our didning reservations prior. Rooms were massive - especially if you can get a... More

Booked, paid for, and had this hotel's confirmation in hand for our 6 days' stay 5 months prior to arrival in Rome. Two days before our flight out, we were notified that they had "overbooked", "were so sorry" and would no longer honor our reservation. My sense is that they were able to charge considerably more for the room we... More

Outstanding hotel. Staff was very helpful and courteous. They did their level best to make sure that our stay was comfortable. Just as an example, we asked for coffee sachets and they sent us a Nespresso machine to our room. It's these little things that goes to show the caliber of the hotel. Though the room rates were a bit... More

Stayed for 2 nights in June 2015, spent most of our time touring the city and sights but this was a great location to walk and run around. The rooms were excellent size and on the 6th floor our view was of the city, specifically towards St. Peters Basilica. The service was tremendous and everyone was warm/helpful. The balcony was... We stayed her for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The warm welcome from the doormen is so special. That welcome happened every time we went into and out of the door of the hotel. From getting a taxi to advice about places to visit nothing was too much trouble. The reception were so helpful before our arrival especially... More

From the time that I contacted the hotel and made the reservation, until the minute we left the hotel, the service was GREAT! The hotel has a classy elegance about it with all the modern amenities. It's very well maintained and clean. The restaurant on the 7th floor is excellent and so is the service. The breakfast room is one... More

We have stayed here several times, and this hotel never disappoints. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, and very good at what they do. All things about this hotel show professionalism and attention to detail. We got an upgrade to a fabulous room (tip: join the SLH Club) with views over the park, it feels like being in the... More

Stayed for four nights between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is very central and the sights we wanted to visit during our stay were within walking distances so we did not need to use public transport. We got taxis to and from the airport and it was hassle free for modest prices. Our room faced Villa Borghese; it was... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
