£38 per night for two people is an absolute bargain, the hotel is located fantastically and within easy walking distance to the Vatican and Ancient city. The food in the morning was very nice, and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend if you are looking for a cheap city break.

Average room but brilliant value for money. Excellent location in the city centre - great for getting to both the ancient city sights and the Vatican sights. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Would have been nice to have tea/ coffee facilities in the room, as well as an iron (my partner had to go out for dinner with a creased... More

I'd give it 3.5 stars to be fair but not more. Stayed for 3 nights and had a room overlooking the street on an upper floor. Unfortunately this makes it a noisy experience since the hotel is directly adjacent to a bus stop in a main road. Breakfast is good, location very good and staff helpful. Fittings and fixtures tired... More

Quiet rooms, when on the backside of the hotel or upper floors Discreet service. The reception staff is very helpful and friendly. Hotel breakfast is somewhat basic but adequate. it would be nice to have cooked eggs.

Good location in the neighbouhood of the city. With a busstop for the Door. Good food and a staff. Restaurants in the street and nearby place de cavour. Rooms are clean and good. It is a hotel to recommend.

The hotel I thought was very simple and quiet. The staff kept to themselves, offered little help on where to go and see. The breakfast was very simple. Not a lot of choices for a picky person. The room and bathroom was nice and quiet. The Wifi didn't always work and they made you sign up through a social media... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Diplomatic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast was continental style with a nice variety of pastries, cereals, fruit, and some cold cuts not to mention the wonderful cappuccinos the staff makes! I would definitely stay there again the next time I go... More

The staff was very friendly. Hotel was just in the center of Roma, near Vaticano, near Castel Saint-Angelo. The shuttle bus from and to the airoport is just 5 minute from the hotel. Pantheon and Piazza Navona is just 5 minute by walk. Breakfast was nice, very testy cappucino. Room was large with very good bed. If I will be... More

We spent a weekend in this hotel in August. The location of the hotel is perfect, it's close to Vatican, Piazza Navona and other main attractions. We walked everywhere and didn't take a taxi even on the way the railway station- 40 mins walk. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast very basic but it was not a... More

The first impression is right. All aspects are far better than we expected. It is a short walk to the old town shops and bars and far enough away from the loud bars at night. The beach is clean with good access on a board walk almost to the sea. We have not seen any children in the hotel. The... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
