The Sofitel Roma is in a very quiet location, but within an easy walk of metro station and major attractions. The rooms were clean and bathroom was comforatble for 2 persons. Ask for a hairdryer, the one in the room stinks. The hotel staff went out of their way to assist us with special requests, tours and restaurant recommendations. When... More

My wife and I stayed four nights at this lovely property near Via Veneto, paying, including breakfast and taxes, altogehter USD 1,100 booked through expedia[--]. A wildcat strike made taxi transport to the hotel impossible, so my wife called the hotel and the reception staff made many suggestions as to alternate routes to the hotel. We arrived via metro, having... More

My husband and I traveled to Rome on July 1st and we stayed in the Sofitel Roma. The location is ideal. You are within walking distance of the Spanish Steps and not far from Piazza Navona. Our stay was more than I expected. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the unfortunate luck of being in Rome... More

I chose this hotel using trip advisor and was not disapponted. . This hotel is in a great spot for all the main sites, although does involve a steep hill walk at the end of the day. Facilities and room was excellent - we had one of the best bedrooms we have ever had in a hotel. For breakfast there... More

The location is not great, it's not near to a metro. The staff were not as friendly as others have said here. The aircon did not work well (worst of all the hotels we stayed in Europe). The breakfast was ok. Overall I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone as it is very expensive. I would never come back to... More

Stayed at the sofitel in Jul 2006. Very elegant and luxurious rooms. We were a family of four with two rooms, which were interconnected by a private hallway. We loved this arrangement. The bathrooms were very nicely appointed and modern (as the other reviewers commented, water does splash out when taking a shower due to insufficient barrier but this is... More

I just returned from a stay at the Sofitel Roma and was extremely pleased with the hotel. I was traveling with family (11 of us, ranging in age from 7 - 62). In all, we had six rooms. Each room was nicely decorated, spacious for Europe, and spotless. Air conditioning was excellent. Room service was extremely prompt, and the breakfast... More

On this, our 4th trip to Rome, we decided to stay at the Sofitel because it was offered as part of a package with a travel club we recently joined. Our 5 night stay far exceeded our expectations. Our room on the 5th floor was very spacious and handsomely decorated. It was also extremely quiet. We never once heard other... More

Stayed here and could not have been more pleased with the overall experience...except for the surprising revelation (not confined to the hotel) that travelers checks are not too welcome....even though I brought them in Euros..the reaction ranged from not accepting them at all, to charging large percentatges for converting them to actual Euros..... as to the hotel itself.....the staff is... The Sofitel in Rome is beautifully decorated - the lobby gorgeous and the rooms small (as is typical in Rome) but very classy (gorgeous curtains and bedspreads, every detail a bit different but tastefully put together -- they even put a fresh orchid in the bathroom!). The location is quite good for the tourist sites (all are walkable), but just... More
