Sofitel Rome Vila Borghese is within 10 minutes walk to the Spanish Step and all main shopping and attraction in Rome. Compare to the Excelsior which is another 5 stars hotel, this one is smaller, but also nice and clean. The room was smaller than the Excelsior, but larger than the Savoy hotel which is a 4 star hotel not... More

We stayed in the Dolce Vita suite as a family of four, and it was very spacious, well-decorated, and in a nice location. The staff was extremely helpful, and we loved their recommendations for lunch. I liked the fact that there was a small gym available, which is not the case in all hotels in Rome. Dinner on the roof-top... More

Everything about this hotel is just beautiful. Our room was large and the bed big and comfortable linen soft. The staff are amazing helpful and friendly. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful with everything you could wish for from cereal to amazing cheeses and cold meats and a nice touch there for children. The staff at breakfast were just lovely so... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Sofitel - the location was central enough but out of the hussle and bussle. Rooms were very spacious and luxury fit out. The best part was the beautiful view of the Villa Borghese gardens and bird noises. Service was also very good we will definitely return!

This hotel is not inexpensive but it is worth every penny -- steps from the Villa Borghese gardens and the incredible Borghese Gallery ... and the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto! But dinner at the rooftop restaurant with a view of Rome looking towards St. Peter's Cathedral is not to be missed! Start with a glass of Proseco while the... More

This hotel is expensive but very well situated in a quite street near to Via Veneto not far from the Spanish Steps. The room we had was number 512 overlooking the side street and was quite large with a lovely bathroom, but the best feature was the very large and comfortable bed. We had breakfast out at local cafes and... More

Our family of 4 travel quite a bit and this was our first place to stay in Italy. We were impressed with the size of the room, quality of beds, and the bathroom was felt luxurious. We felt the hotel was far off from all the places in Rome we wanted to visit. If you are looking to be in... More

An older building that is in beautiful shape. Rooms are not large but not cramped and are NOT modern in furnishings - do not get me wrong, the furniture is solid and lovely and in excellent repair, but not modern. BIG bath tub! Comfortable bed. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Just blocks from the Via Venetto and the Villa... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
