The staff are friendly and made our stay very special! It is a bit north, but if you are willing and able to walk, main Attractions, shopping, and good food are not a too bad a walk from this hotel (anywhere from 4 to 25mins). Other reviewers have said the rooms are small but we found them comfortable. Everything overall... More

Given everything I had read in the reviews of this hotel I was very surprised to find it has so many annoying features. I have had two stays in this hotel recently so my experiences are based on both stays. The first thing that drove us to annoyance were the lifts. The two lifts in the foyer are tiny and... More

In June we spent four nights at Villa Borghese. The hotel is well appointed with efficient and friendly staff. Walking distance to many attractions. The roof top restaurant and bar offered a beautiful view of the sun setting over Rome. The bartender makes excellent margaritas.

We spent 7 nights in their lovely Borghese suite on the 7th floor. Amazing view of the city, spacious suite, comfy bed. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Angelo was very, very helpful and accommodating in arranging private tours and rides to and from airport. Would recommend the tours as all the drivers were very knowledgeable, friendly and can bring... More

We enjoyed six nights at the Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese late June/early July and loved every minute. Beautiful room overlooking the park with a spacious bathroom, great air con and solid wi fi. Staff were excellent, helping with restaurant recommendations and arranging tour guides. One of the most enjoyable aspects was being able to have pre-dinner drinks on the top... More

Title says it all. Stay here for easy access to all the sites. We walked everywhere from here. There are plenty of excellent nearby restaurants (hotel restaurant has an unbeatable view but very french menu). Lots of nearby shopping as well and there are two nearby metro stations to be able to get around the city. The doormen and desk... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
