Stayed here with family for five days. Get a balcony if you can. Worth it. Restaurant on top has beautiful views of the city. Make reservations to get a great table. It's also a great place to have drinks. If you can do it, spend some time in the nearby park. Great music, fun to rent a golf cart.

I must apologise for taking so long to write this review. My husband and I stayed here August 2015 for about four nights. It is a lovely hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable with nice touches everywhere. Large bathroom and plenty of cupboard space. Our room offered a pleasant view across the street with old city views. The concierge... More

This is such a lovely hotel, friendly staff, great rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Very close to a lot of Rome's things to do but nice and quiet area. Would love to come back to Rome just to stay at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese. Plenty of good restaurants around the area.

We stayed in November for 4 nights and enjoyed the rooftop terrace from start to end! Is was 1 of the reasons we choose this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Nice, small, room with all we needed. Small bathroom. We stayed on higher floor just under rooftop restaurant. Be prepared to hear some noise until the bar/restaurant closes at night.... More

Very attentive service and excellent, elegant rooms. Breath-taking view from the roof-top restaurant. Menu at the restaurant rather limited. Unfortunately they dont have adequate meeting room facilities for board meetings. Perfect location and easy access to the Center of Rome.-

A beautiful hotel, the views from the restaurant/bar were amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with a good bathroom. Had a meal in the restaurant one night which was extremely good, it would actually be the best chicken dish I have ever had. We also had the breakfast buffet one morning which had plenty of choices... More

My family and I stayed here for two nights while in Rome. It is centrally located not far from shops and the Spanish steps. It is a small boutique type hotel. They were remodeling their lobby and it was noisy in my room. The sales manager came and apologized and moved my room to a place that was quiet. Some... More

We love the Sofitel Hotel group and this hotel held up to our expectations. Absolutely lovely experience. The staff was honestly a big part of our stay. We speak a few words of Italian thus we REALLY needed the staff at times to get around and help us. The room was large (not common in Europe) and comfortable. The bathroom... More

Rome is definitely worth more than one visit. There are so many options of where to stay, you really have to focus on what is important to you. This trip was for New Years Eve so the rooftop terrace was a priority. Granted the terrace was closed to all except those dining at the restaurant, which was fine because we... More

It would be rated excellent but the location is not the best if you want to see everything happening in Rome. Stunning rooftop restaurant and bar. Great history and all rooms are different. Staff was wonderful and accommodating to all our needs.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
