This hotel is in a great location and it's easy to get to most of the major attractions around Rome. The rooms are well appointed, and have all the sorts of things you would expect in a hotel of this caliber. The service we received before, during and after our stay was really very good. The only minor gripe was... More

We were having a rough time at a different hotel and were lucky enough to get a suite here for a few days. The staff was so friendly. We especially loved dealing with Alessandra who welcomed us and got us a room bright and early. The rooms were great and the bathroom and shower was the best. Can't wait to... More

Staff was great and location was good but rooms were very small, the lobby had some date dirty modern furniture, the restaurant was beyond over priced and quality of food was not good, finally the bathrooms in the rooms reeked of mold smell. It was awful sell of moisture and mold. Not great at all.

Spent 5 nights on our vacation. Clean room with nice amenities and great bathroom. Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Good location (close to the Borghese gardens and the Spanish steps), walking distance to several landmarks. The pool is small- it is not a real pool- but with worm water is was great after very hot and long walking tours.... More

We have been to Rome several times in the past, and have usually stayed at 3-4 star places, near the Pantheon and Campo di Fiori -- this time we decided to camp a bit further to the north, on Via Veneto, known for luxury, opulence and high prices. I am glad we did, but at the Grand Hotel Palace in... More

I stayed here with my partner for one night and I have to say I would come back here in an instant. The location on Via Veneto allows for some of the best people watching and access to the hottest spots in the city. A short walk away are the Borghese gardens, the embassies and myriad other attraction you cant... More

We stayed two nights (using points), the location is close to the Borghese gardens and the Spanish steps. A bit further from some of the other sights however and about a 10 min walk to the metro (slight uphill on the return from the metro to the hotel). Very modern facilities and nicely decorated. Only problem was that the bathroom... More

Whilst this hotel is very convenient for the train station, local public transport and shopping the hotel rooms are minimal and could benefit from a refurbishment. Bathrooms are for a good size and standard. The pool is tiny and only made for padding, therefore if you are looking for a hotel with a pool this not the hotel you should... More

What a great location , service and room. We travelled with 2 kids and stayed in the 2 bedroom presidential suite and it was so so cool ! Felt like this was Austin Powers' room. Right on Via Veneto and only 1 min from Spanish steps , this was the right place to stay.

We went to Rome to celebrate our second wedding anniversary and were excited about staying at the Grand Hotel palace, particularly as it was advertised as a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed. The room looked nothing like the pictures had promised, it was much smaller and there was a lack of surface space to put stuff. The... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
