Stayed three nights on a business trip. Walkable to Barberini Metro station (and many other sites). Excellent service and cool vibe, Coltrane playing on check-in, Clapton classic blues at breakfast. Fun and very helpful staff. Gorgeous clean room and amenities. Sixth floor room has its own terrace! Nice little bistros all around. Highly recommended.

I knew I was in for a pleasant stay the moment I arrived. The porters, front desk staff, chamber maids, - everybody was smiling and so attentive. Kudos to the General Manager, Andrea Fiorentini. Rooms: Excellent. Location: Excellent. Walking distance to all the major attractions. Service: Stupendous. No reason to hotel search any further for Rome. Book it and say... More

The Grand Palace is in an excellent location for all the Rome attractions; lots are within walking distance. The staff were a friendly, helpful, and a real delight. The check in/check out process was smooth and easy; with an added benefit that the staff spoke perfect English. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The room was perfect, with attention paid to exquisite... More

I got this hotel from Hotwire after researching and making a guess based on the description. I was not disappointed, especially for the deal I got. I had a fifth floor room with a balcony, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a stylish but not uninviting feel. The only items holding it back from being... More

Positive points: good location, kind and polite and friendly staff. Negative points: very very cold room, the breakfast was as a 3 star hotel, the SPA was open between 10am to 8pm so I think no tourists can use it. Our general impression was not a very good one.

Boscolo Hotels suffer from too cutesy post modern decor....lots of shiny surfaces, in your face color schemes and supposedly edgy furniture. No longer in the Boscolo chain, this hotel has retained the decor but improved service. Large rooms, spacious bathrooms, big windows allowing natural light from the roman sun to enter and brighten things. Unfortunately despite its good location, Via... More

This hotel is absolutely fabulous and the pictures on their website do not do it justice, it is simply stunning. We stayed in an executive room with a balcony over the New Year. The room was perfect, gorgeous material graced the walls with a large opulent marble bathroom, with a shower big enough for 4. The balcony was well worth... More

We just came back from a 4 night stay at the Grand Hotel Palace. This is a great hotel right in the middle of Via Veneto. Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
