The rooms and the entire hotel building were stunning, the staff was helpful and accommodating at every turn, the breakfast was out of this world - be sure to ask for cappuccino - and of course the city is one of the most interesting in the world. The hotel is a bit far from the action, but there is a... More

The Duke has great retro charm with large sitting rooms in the lobby and food and drink available throughout the day. It has the feeling of an older city hotel, with its curving hallways and classic decor. We enjoy that kind of stuff, so it was great for us. The staff was friendly and personable (one wait staff person who... More

I recently stayed in the Duke Hotel for a conference and some sightseeing. It is a beautiful hotel with fabulous staff and a very good location. The free shuttle bus to and from Piazza del Popolo was really handy and ran frequently throughout the day and evening. Booking at reception is a must. The breakfast each day in the hotel... More

My daughter and son-in-law treated us to this visit to Rome. We arrived at the hotel and were given a friendly greeting and check-in went very smoothly. Our room was situated on the second floor. It was beautifully appointed, had a welcome bottle of prosseco (for our birthdays) along with some delicious biscuits. It had a separate walk in wardrobe... More

We were delighted with our stay at The Duke, The buffet breakfast is plentiful from fruit juices to bacon, Although the location is in the suburbs, they have a mini bus that runs every half hour to just outside (Popolo Piazza) which takes about 10-15 minutes and you can arrange to be picked up at the drop off point again... Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms with mini bar, king size bed and satellite tv. Large bathroom with bath and shower (not separated). We received an upgrade to a junior suite. Laura from the breakfast room is just adorable. Excellent cappuccinos for breakfast. The hotel is located 10min from the Piazza Del Popolo. The hotel offers a free... More

My Mum & I stayed at this Hotel at the beginning of March, booked through Secret Escapes. Stayed from Thursday - Monday, had a Superior Room (Twin bedded) with a balcony. We had a lovely room, with exceptional service - clean bed sheets, pillow cases and towels daily - very impressive. In room minibar and safe. (Not used) Beautiful hotel,... More

We stayed in this hotel at the end of Feb for an extended weekend. The room we had was huge, clean and comfy but the only English channel on the TV is BBC World News - not that we stayed in to watch it. The breakfast was delightful, a buffet with some hot options but all very tasty. The staff... More

We stayed here for a weekend break and it's a really lovely hotel. The staff are great. So friendly and welcoming, especially Laura at breakfast and the great Bar man who made the best vodka and tonic I've had in a long time. The room was incredibly clean and whilst you are in a residential area the hotel offers a... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
