4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

very clean classic hotel, with wifi and breakfast included. food quality is ok, nothing impressive, the price is average, hotel staff are friendly, with a short walk you can find some restaurants and cafes. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to the city every 30 mins but must be booked. very quiet area, smokers may have hard times buying... More

Was too far away from the city and the breakfast was below average compared to the other 4 star hotels in Rome. Hotel restaurant was really quite unpleasant for an overpriced dinner and the bathrooms are cramped and clearly not renovated in a long time. Was our least favourite hotel in Rome.

Our family recently spent 4 nights at The Duke Hotel in Rome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Laura who looked after us for breakfast each morning. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. There was a wide variety of food and it was all delicious. The reception staff were also... More

We booked this hotel through The Secret Escapes website which was really good value for money for a city break. The hotel is situated a bit out of the centre but the city is easily reached if you make use of the hotel's shuttle service. Luigi the driver in the day is so helpful and friendly. Taxis are an option... More

We stayed 4 nights recently. All the staff were helpful, especially the lady at breakfast. The rooms were always clean and smartly presented. The hotel is a bit North of the city so make use of the free shuttle bus which runs every 30 mins. A bit far to walk in and back each time. We really enjoyed our stay... More

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Duke hotel for a few nights just before New Years. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms are very nice. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the dinner meal was very good too. The first night we were situated by an elevator that was quite noisy - when I... More

I have just returned from The Duke Hotel and had an excellent stay. I booked it last minute so had little time to research, the hotel itself is lovely ~ rooms, dinner, breakfast, everything really good. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was very relaxed and very reasonably priced. There is a free shuttle into and back... More

My wife and I went to Rome to celebrate my birthday and we used Secret Escapes going through Fleetway Travel. The deal was very good and reasonable. We stayed here at The Duke Hotel and I must say, all the staff were totally welcoming, pleasant and met all my requests. The morning serving of continental breakfast was a delight. The... More

Very good value for major Euro-metro hotel. Loved Luigi the shuttle driver and Lara the breakfast person.Super friendly to kids. Family rooms roomy for Europe, shower small, but bath big. Nice Quiet neighborhood a mile or so from City Center. Easy breakfast they serve late, great for vacationers.

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
