This hotel is beautiful, Italian style, stunning and tranquil. Set in a quiet residential area with a free shuttle service to Rome. Much better than the local train station! The breakfast is excellent, although the evening menu could be better with a daily menu addition. Overall, a lovely hotel which I would readily use on any future visits to Rome.

This hotel offers just what the weary traveller needs after a day in the dust and bustle of Rome and its attractions. It is not in the heart of the town but in a quiet suburb which is a real bonus away from the noise and traffic. The hotel provides a half hourly shuttle car (takes 6 people) which you... More

Stayed at the Duke for the weekend after a cruise. Lovely hotel! Reception staff were very welcoming and offered us a complimentary drink whilst receptionist checked if our room was ready. Shuttle bus is ideal. The barman was exceptionally helpful. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.

We have just returned from staying at the Duke hotel in Rome for 3 nights and it was a fantastic experience. Staff are unbelievably helpful, food is excellent, breakfast was superb. If you want to walk into the centre of Rome you can stroll it in 40 minutes and it is a pleasurable walk, if not then book the shuttle... More

Returned to the Duke Hotel after enjoying the previous year's visit, pleased to see the excellent staff (reception, restaurant (breakfast and dinner), courtesy car, housekeeping were still there. From printing flight boarding passes to adapting the restaurant menu, the staff were always pleased to help. Will definitely be returning next year. Pat & Lucy

Reservations, check-in and accommodations were well above expectation, as was the professional personnel. Enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to return or to recommend the Duke as a very comfortable and friendly hotel.

This was our best hotel-experience out of three during our stay in Rome. The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel itself is located a little north of the citycentre, close to Villa Borghese and every half an hour between 8-23 there was transportation by car between the hotel and Piazza del Popolo. Very good service, which was included.

We stayed at the duke hotel for 4 nights, the hotel is nice, the only downside it is a little way out from the centre. The hotel did provide a shuttle car to the centre and this started early in the morning(8am till 11pm) and this service was very good. The hotel is in a residential area surrounded by apartments and not... More

Have been visiting regularly from Australia for over 20 years .Will continue to do so!The location is in a mixed residential and embassy section of town. The Borghese is a short ride or comfortable walk as are galleries . The restaurant has improved out of sight and the staff are first class and cannot do enough to assist. The shuttle... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
