Its a beautiful hotel with a heritage look. However, be assured of all conveniences here as far as modern hotels are concerned. The rooms are larger, the bathrooms are spacious. The food is good, so is the service and the staff is courteous. Something distinct that I observed was that the manager took us through to the rooms, explaining details... More

We stayed there for 2 nights. We were greeted with frowns, and formal key-handling - no "how do you do?", "Enjoy your stay" chats. Our room was on the 5th floor, and when we entered, both my husband and I could smell a lingering foul smell. I reported that, and have got no response whatsoever - the least would be... More

We stayed at The Duke Hotel for a week in the middle of May. The experience from start to finish could not be faulted. The hotel arranged a car to pick us up from the airport which was a god send. The room was ready to check in at 12 noon. We booked a superior room through Secret Escapes, then... More

What a beautiful hotel . Rooms are amazing and staff at front desk could not be more helpful but...... On our last night we decided to try the restaurant . I'm a Londoner and used to rude people but the head waiter was so rude he could challenge Basel faulty!! He's complete disdain could not be hidden . The wine... More

The stay was fun. We were over 100 people that attend a conference in Rome and they attended to us courteously. The room are neat and comfortable with polite and available staff. they go extra miles drive and bring you back when you go for shoppings

Although the Duke is not in the best location to all the city sights, we truly enjoyed our most comfortable and hospitable stay. The metro in Rome was easy and fun so it was not a problem. The hotel was beautiful and our room with a terrace was truly elegant. It was everything I look for in a hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was lovely, breakfast elegant and delightful. Shuttle bus is a godsend. The hotel left a bottle of prosecco for us, after we had displayed some Happy 50th birthday cards in the room! A lovely touch. Loved it......

I had previously visited Rome and not enjoyed the hustle and bustle or the accommodation around the Termini area. So as this was to be the start of a two week Europe trip - I wanted to start in style. I read the reviews on Trip-Advisor, and they sounded very good - so based on this and the 4* rating... More

At first we thought the Duke was a little out of the way, but we quickly became accustomed to this beautiful and peaceful part of inner city Rome near the Villa Borghese gardens. We stayed on two occasions in a four week period. The rooms were immaculately clean and tidy, with all the appropriate facilities. Breakfasts were a feast, and... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
