We found everything about this hotel ok, but not great. No complaints. Although we were a little bit disappointing that our room was at at street level, facing a not so nice backyard, and the other terrace was closed so we did not have anywhere to spend time outdoors at the hotel. The location of the hotel was great; quiet... More

While looking for a hotel in Rome, we want something A) with around a 100 dollar pricetag and B) not smack dab in the middle of the tourist area but close enough to get to easily and C) something with an "authentic" look and feel to it, not a cookie cutter chain hotel or something modern. Hotel Giulio Cesare matched... More

We had to find a hotel at short notice due to fire at Rome airport, and what a find. The hotel is set in a quite street just a 10 minute walk away from the Vatican and other sights. There is a lovely terrace at the back of the hotel where you can sit, relax and soak up the old... More

We stayed at the Giulio Cesare for four nights on our one week return trip Italy. At first we were a bit concerned that the location was a bit out of the center, but this turned out to be one of the advantages from our perspective. The Lepanto metro stop on line B was only a short walk and we... More

Great hotel Giulio Cesare Roma! We stayed from March 26 thru April 9, 2015, my wife and I. Very clean through out entire facility, top rated in our experience. Our room was really great, decorated exquisitely, we loved our window overlooking the entrance. The breakfast buffet is fabulous! Ciro sees to seating patrons, and that all needs are met. My... The hotel is old fashioned - in a good way. Our room was large with really high corniced ceilings and large chandelier and ornate wall lights. Also curtains with ornate swags which covered the french windows which opened on to a small balcony. Generous wardrobe and drawer space and a safe. The bathroom was a reasonable size - with a... Located in a quiet area of Rome, near the river and a 15-minute walk from the center where you can find all the restaurants, shops and attractions. The hotel offers free parking and WI FI (internet is a little slow, but for checking mail will do). The hotel staff are very polite, professional and know their job. Rooms are decorated... More

This hotel is a fifteen minute walk to the Vatican area. Also close by is the Piazza del Popolo where you can rent segways to tour the Borghese gardens. Piazza del Popolo is also close to the Spanish steps and GREAT shopping. The staff at the hotel were fabulous... Danielo, Simone and Ciro (who by the way makes the BEST... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
