15 min. walking distance from Vatican. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Several good Italain restuarants at a wailking dustance from the hotel. The only thing i did not like is that the bathroom was too small.

Just across the Tiber from Piazza Popolo, this wonderful Hotel sits on a quiet street, that means no noise at night. Hotel staff at check in were funny, friendly, and very helpful. Our room on the 4th floor was large, King bed, very comfortable, couch, chairs, desk, big window, good AC. the bathroom was good size, good shower, and shower... More

Located on a quiet street very close to the river and a 15 minute walk to either the center of Rome or the Vatican. Not many good restaurants nearby, but more than enough in a 15 minute radius, The hotel is also just steps away from the Metro. Rooms are somewhat tired in décor, but are well equipped and quiet.... I love this Hotel. The Staff are very helpful and appreciate your stay with them. I have stayed there four times and each time they made me feel like I am family. It is a short walk to the Corso. Very close to landmarks, the Vatican.

We stayed here for three nights as part of a Vermont Bicycle Tours Rome extension to our excellent Amalfi coast walking tour. This was definitely the least attractive hotel of the four they used. The hotel is well located for walking to Prati, Trastevere and the major sites of old Rome. The lobby, breakfast area, bar and patio spaces were... More

We spent three nights at the hotel with a group of 34 people and and will return again. The staff is exceptional. The rooms are old-world style with lovely furnishings, high ceilings, and cool tile floors. There is NOTHING old-world about the amenities, the bathrooms or the services. Full breakfast was truly full - eggs, frittatas, meats as well as... More

The beginning of our stay was a little bit difficult since my spouse and I have expectations about a four-star hotel and when we arrived in our room we were disappointed as it was not at he level of those. The room was cold, with tiles on the floor, decorated with very austere furniture's and with a long and narrow... More

We found everything about this hotel ok, but not great. No complaints. Although we were a little bit disappointing that our room was at at street level, facing a not so nice backyard, and the other terrace was closed so we did not have anywhere to spend time outdoors at the hotel. The location of the hotel was great; quiet... More

While looking for a hotel in Rome, we want something A) with around a 100 dollar pricetag and B) not smack dab in the middle of the tourist area but close enough to get to easily and C) something with an "authentic" look and feel to it, not a cookie cutter chain hotel or something modern. Hotel Giulio Cesare matched... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
