Stayed here with friends during the Canonization in April 2014. Hotel was classy, beautiful and our room was lovely!!! Very friendly staff as well. The location was also good as it was very close to the Vatican as well. Though the rate was a bit high, I am still looking forward to a return visit.

Wonderful location and an excellent continental breakfast to begin each day. Our room was typical 4-star but very clean and bright. The rear courtyard was a nice treat and welcome resting space after long sight-seeing days. We would stay here again.

Hotel is located in a great suberb, close the action but far away enough to be good value. Breakfast buffet fantastic, wide variety of choice and local additions to menu from owners farm - honey, fruit etc. Really couldnt ask for a better buffet. Roberto on reception very helpful with local suggestions and general hospitality in the hotel. Main issue... More

You can find here the best (continental) breakfast in Italy. All is prepared with love and is a good starting point for a day tríp through Rome. The location is very nice and very quite in "Prati" close to the river Tevere. You can find many emassies close by which is in my opinion a good sign for a decent... More

We visited this hotel for second time and the experience was the same as two years ago, perfect room, perfect service, and a great breakfast. And much of Rome is just within walking distance. So we will for sure return for a third time.

Complimentary breakfasts at the Hotel Giulio Cesare in Rome are absolutely sumptuous. But the experience is enhanced by the presence of Ciro, the 40-year veteran host. In his neatly pressed yellow jack and bow tie, he anticipated our breakfast favorites and coffee needs on the second day of our visit. His courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful presence made for a... More

We love this beautiful hotel! The hotel is fabulous & the staff so wonderful. Our first evening we arrive jet lagged and we ask for recommendations for dinner and were provided a map to Ristorante ambasciata di Capri and told Edurado would take care of us and he did! The nwxt morning as we enter the lobby the sweetest man... More

This hotel was three blocks from the Lepanto metro station in a quiet neighborhood. Better yet, since we drove to the hotel, it was outside the dreaded ZTL, the limited traffic zone, which if we crossed we would have been fined. Location was an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and other Rome area locations like the Vatican and Piazza Popolo.... More

The Giulio Cesare is a fine hotel, and I've stayed there 3 times. The rooms are a bit on the small side and the hard mattresses and inconvenient bathrooms are typical of older European hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the G.C. is remote from the usual tourist attractions so I would not suggest it... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
