We spent one night at the hotel. Booked a family room which was really spacious with a large bathroom. Staff really helpful- providing maps and good information. Also spoke excellent English. Breakfast continental with a good choice of fruit ( including fresh and tinned), selection of cheeses and meats, cereal, yoghurts, breads and pastries. Very good value for money. more

Warning to future guests.... My travel agent suggested the Mecenate Palace in Rome since it's close to the Termini, the rooms are nice, and it would be safe for two women travelling in Rome. My wife and I travelled to Rome In July and stayed at this hotel. We were in Room 423 with an amazing view of the piazza and Santa Maria Maggiore. The room was clean with a good size en suite bathroom. I've put that in the title because it was my main concern before coming to Rome. It's a beautiful city, but man does it have some issues with graffiti. Every single unprotected surface is covered with the stuff, so thanks, delinquents. Anyway, onto the hotel. We staid at this hotel for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay!! The rooms are good and comfortable. What really makes this hotel special is the roof terrace where you have a great view over the city! Also I can recommend to have diner there because it was pretty good! more

This hotel was overbooked when we got there, despite having a reservation and having already paid for three nights. They put us up in a supposedly comparable hotel down the street that was in no way equal.
