I stayed here for 4 nights with my partner for our first visit to Rome - he proposed on the second evening! Hotel is beautifully decorated and looked after and we got upgraded to a deluxe room with a view of the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore which is stunning. Rooftop bar has a great view of the city at night.... More

For those first traveling to Rome. It is easy to get around from here and just 5 blocks walk to the train station. Rooms are comfortable and have all of the needed amenities. The service at the desk, in the restaurant and the bar were all great. the breakfasts were the best of our 14 day Italy trip. I would... More

This hotel is centrally located and close to Rom's beautiful museums and piazzas. It is a very nice hotel, safe, friendly staff, and good rooms. The only problem appears to be that the terrace can only be used for having drinks. That was disappointing. The breakfast is sub-standard. Why the terrace cannot be used for breakfast is another open question.... More

The hotel is directly on a beautiful square with one of the nicest churches. We had a stunning view from our room to the square. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. They have a gorgeous roof terrace, which could be an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, the breakfast (included) on the terrace is average and we had to wait 10 minutes to... More

This hotel is very nice and staff are very accommodating. Three of us were travelling and found the room to be very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was fabulous. Almost anything you wish to have was there. We also ate in their restaurant one evening and received excellent service and the food and wine were very good. The hotel is... More

We traveled to Rome on the train from Naples several times over three years living in Italy, and although we stayed in a variety of different hotels, this one remained our favorite. If you are used to staying in a very modern room - like many of the nicer hotels in Italy are remodeled to be - don't stay here.... More

So me and my boyfriend have recently returned from Rome. I had booked this hotel just by passing through trip advisor. Well let's just say I'm glad that I made this decision. When we arrived we were instantly upgraded to a deluxe bedroom with a view. I'm pretty sure we had the best view in the hotel, our window was... More

A great, clean, affordable, and pretty hotel really close to the main train station (Termini). Pretty much a 24 hour neighborhood which sometimes is confused as less than safe. I found it to be vibrant, easy, and fun here. The rooms were small, but the bathrooms large. The wi-fi is effectively useless, but on vacation, who really cares? The included... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel in a nice area. Friendly helpful staff also spoke English very well! Excellent restaurant and roof top bar with outstanding view. Breakfast buffet was large and everything was delicious but was the choices were the same every day. Dinner in the restaurant was average and the evening wait staff was not... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
