Actually, I'd give this hotel a 4.5 rating for the value, comfort and convenience. It's not posh, but lovely. Located 3 blocks from Rome's main railroad station and ready access to the two subway lines and many bus lines, one can conveniently travel to major sights. The staff is professional and very helpful. Computer in lobby is convenient for printing... More

This is an old fashioned hotel probably in need of refurbishment. The bedroom was a good size as was the bathroom. The electric plugs were a bit problematic in inconvenient places and at least 2 did not work. The plug in the sink in the bathroom also did not operate so you would fill the sink and the water would... More

Hotel is in a superb location, 5 minutes walk from termini station, with hop on hop off bus stops across the square. Reception staff where extremely welcoming and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. We arrived at 11am and they had our room ready within 10 minutes. We paid for a room with a view and what a... More

This is a typical 3* hotel. The hotel is older, and probably in need of refurbishment, but it is not dirty, things are not in disrepair, and it does have some amount of old-style charm to it. The room that I had was rather large for a European hotel, but I think I had an accessible room (room 508). The... More

Just checked out today. The place is sold on its art deco decoration, but in places this is an excuse for in need of refurbishment. They bathroom in my room was dated and certainly in need of redecoration. They also promised me 10% off the prices in the in house restaurant, but it wasn't clear that I had to present... More

Very disappointed with this hotel. Originally asked for room in main hotel after reading reviews here about apts and steps. Arrived after 6:00 p.m. after long tour tired and frustrated with the front desk staff when I brought this up to front desk he just brushed me off and pretended to be on the phone the entire time we waited.... Second trip to Rome and needed a good place to touch down for a night before heading out to Naples and Sorrento. Arrived by train and left by train so wanted close proximity to the station - quick 10 minute walk dragging along suitcases. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Room and bed were comfortable. Room and washroom were... More

The location is across the street from the beautiful Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. We had room 511 that had windows looking directly across the street to the Basilica. This room did not get the street noise. The service was very good and the staff helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was a very large buffet and included but most of... More

This hotel exceeded my expectations in everyway. My adult daughter and I went to Italy as a College Graduation trip from my mother. We don't speak Italian, but all the restaurant staff and front desk were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Eating was a bit of a mixed adventure while in Rome, but the hotel restaurant was incredible. Make... More
