Not bad location but the area was a bit seedy at night. Rooms were clean but traditonally small but avoid room 212 as I have a broom cupboard that is bigger and it overlooks the back alley! We changed to a slightly bigger room within five minutes., but were disappointed as this was our Ruby anniversary and had requested a... more

The Amalfi is a clean hotel with a nice staff. The room we had, 421, was small but very clean. It was on the top floor and faced Via Merulana. When we opened the windows and looked left, the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore was right there. It was a beautiful sight. The bathroom we had was okay for me,... more

My partner and I are just back from a 5 day trip to Rome where we stayed in the Hotel Amalfi. I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect from the reviews I had read....I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located centrally but in a way that allows the visitor to see a more "real", less "tourist"... more

I stayed at The Amalfi on a weekend break with my elderly mother. The hotel is just 5 mins from the Termini station and within walking distance of most sights. It has a lift so is good for older visitors. The rooms are spotless but a little small. Also depending on where your room is it can be a little... more

the amalfi hotel is value for money well positioned for sightseeing, the only thing that was lacking was there was no tea or coffee making facility in the rooms after a days walking around rome a cup of coffee was needed.the rooms are very clean and the maid came everyday. breakfast was ok if you like jam and bread !... more

We stayed at this hotel for 4nights on our honeymoon. It was in a good location by the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, which was about 10minutes walk from Termini, but far enough away to avoid the seedier feel of the Termini area. It was also close to a metro station, 3 minutes walk away, and there were restaurants and... more

This is quirky and fun. Easily missed in the pouring rain, it is the first block on the road when approaching from Termini. Room 316 has 3 beds and the only balcony which has a lovely view of the church in the square. Toilet area was a challenge, but we could all do with losing a bit of weight. Great... more

We were a bit worried about staying at the Amalfi as it had mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. The hotel is well situated for the main attractions of Rome, and we walked to the Colisseum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon (although we definitely didn't feel like walking back!) It is also near Termini Station (although not too near)... more

I loved my 4 nights in this hotel and would stay again anytime. The location was fabulous, just 5 mins from termini and a short walk to all the attractions of Rome through nice streets. The hotel is very safe for a single person to go back to, being on a main street and always manned. The rooms were clean... more

The Amalfi hotel is small in a reasonable position .Our room was small ,the bathroom was small which meant it was difficult to relax & spread out. The breakfast was Ok with yogurt, tin fruit, rolls & sweet croisants. The breakfast room was small seating 14 guests. The bedrom had a minibar very reasonable prices compared to Rome generally. The restaurants near the... more
