When we arrived Reception staff very unwelcoming, took an age to find our reservation - at least 15 minutes. Just gave us a key, no indication of where lift was, what floor we were on etc. When we went out the following day and returned to our room at 3.30 p.m. the hotel was locked and we had to bang... more

Hotel within walking distance of train terminal DO NOT CATCH A CAB, YOU WILL GO FOR A TOUR!. Colisseum, Trevi within walking distance and all day hop on hop off bus very close. Great value if using for up to 2 days. Restaurants nearby quite expensive, better value a bit further down. Rooms extremely clean, although shower a bit small.... more

The hotel was close to the main Termini station as well as two other Metro stations. We used the Metro extensively during our stay and I would definitely recommend doing that. Once we did walk to the Colosseum, but it wasn't really that close. The staff was friendly and the front desk personnel spoke English. The room was very small,... more

In the beginning, my grilfriend and I were a little sceptical about 3-star hotel having such great reviews on this website but sinse we trust it completely, we decided to give it a try. When we arrived to Rome, this hotel was one of the best things that happened to us on our trip. It was only 7 minutes from... more

Friendly staff, cosy (if tiny) single room with everything you'd need (except a kettle) including aircon, safe, and tv (you can't see the tv screen however- lcd situated high on a wardrobe!). 3 mins from S Maria Maggiore and 5 minutes from termini station. You can walk to the Colosseum in twenty five minutes too. Don't bother with the inedible... more

5 mins walk from the train station. Easily accesible to all the sights Rome has to offer. The restaurants around should be avoided as they can be a bit pricey. Walk an extra 10mins and you will save yourself a lot of cash more

A good value

The hotel met our needs at a reasonable price. We found everything satisfactory and the staff was always helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate. If you arrive at Fiumicino and want reasonably priced ground transport check at the information desk for the shuttle to central hotels. more

A 5 minute walk from termini station but not too close to the shabby area near the station. Bars/restaurants around the hotel were a little expensive but walk for about 2 mins to find somewhere cheaper. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was pastry/fruit cocktail with juice or coffee-nice but not enough to fill up on. Very clean rooms-cleaned every day. Reviews... more

We arrived at the Amalfi tired, hot and in need of sanctuary - we were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff, a charming reception area, lift, baggage room, and a map!Who were immediately sent us off to our room.. Awaiting us there - air conditioning, minibar, shuttered windows, comfy beds -the room was a twin bed, and was small I suppose... more

A pleasant hotel near the train station - not far to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, The Forum and the Coliseum - about a forty five minute walk to the heart of Rome, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Vatican beyond. more
