A very nice hotel in the center of Rome. I was travelling with a friend. stayed there for 2 nights. We reached in the evening around 6 pm. We were received with a very warm welcome. We got a free city map from the reception. the staff was very kind to explain in detail various attractions and also bus routes... More

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Europe. Family-owned so it is a bit smaller than a chain hotel but had all of the charm of home. Beautiful accommodations in the rooms. The beds were comfy and there were ample pillows/linens. The mini bar was actually CHEAPER than buying things outside of the hotel. The view from our... More

I recently stayed in the Amalfi for a weekend trip to Rome with my mum. The location of the Amalfi is the first reason we loved this hotel. The amalfi is literally a 5 minute walk from the main train station 'Termini' where you can also get the metro to different places around the city. It is also is right beside... More

I have just returned from a 4 night break in beautiful Rome, staying at the wonderful Amalfi Hotel. It is very quaint, the rooms are small, but have everything you need & excellent showers. The welcome is very warm, it is run by a lovely team of people who try to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. On arrival... More

Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast suits us fine. Double room perfectly adequate for a couple, spotlessly clean and we slept well on a good firm mattress. Bathroom plenty big enough for normal sized people, I am 6 foot and have no problems. Although hotel is on busy street, even first floor rooms facing the street are quiet due to excellent... More

Well this is a case where, for the first time in my years of travel, the TripAdvisor reviews simply don't match up with what I experienced. There simply is no possible way that this is the 142nd best hotel in Rome, in my mind. Long story short, we arrive from Venice, where we stayed at the lovely Duodo Palace Hotel... More

Dear Sir, first of all I don’t understand what you have against old people. I saw that you used the same words also in another review (It looks like it might have been a retirement home 50 years ago, and it even has that old person home smell to it), I rather think that older people should be respected and... My family of 5 had a lovely and comfortable stay at Amalfi Hotel. The desk staff were friendly and very co operative when we arrived with a great deal of luggage at 8am and stored it in the rooms for us until we were able to check in. The breakfast area was a little busy but the charming Natasha (I... More

My family and I were very pleased by the customer service that we received. The receptionists at the front desk (Mimo, Francesco, Antonio) were all pleasant and helpful. They helped us to get around the city and took care of all of our requests with a smile on their face. The housekeepers were also very pleasant and greeted us whenever... More

My wife and I stayed here with my dad for one week at the beginning of December 2014. We wanted to spend time visiting the Vatican and historic sites. We chose this 3 star hotel because of its competitive price, the trip advisor rating and availability of a single room. Good Points The hotel is very clean, pleasantly decorated and... More

This was our first stay in Rome and we had no idea how to get about, which ended up being a great thing about the hotel. It's at the most 5 minutes from the train station and easy to find. It's also in a really great location to get to most of the great sites, with the coloseum and the... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
