My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in late January. We couldn't have been happier with the service, which was the kind of service one only finds in a family hotel. The warmth, kindness, and helpfulness of all of the staff really made our stay. Example: on the last night of our stay, we expressed to... More

The hotel is situated centrally for all the sights. The hotel was clean and tidy and well looked after. All the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and always went 'the extra mile' to help. We asked for a change of room, only because my wife felt she couldn't sleep too well because of some traffic noise, and the receptionist was... More

Less than ten minutes walk from the main station (Termini), and if you're even vaguely fit, every other main Rome attraction is within walking distance. The Colosseum is about ten minutes away, and Vatican City a pleasing 45 minute stroll through some fabulous areas of Rome. Free, strong wifi, and great service from the staff. Rooms a tiny bit on... We have just returned from our stay at the beautifully family run Amalfi hotel (17|02|15 - 24|02|15) By far the absolute BEST experience in a hotel so far. They most definitely out do themselves in customer service and to me that certainly makes the difference between a good and bad experience in a foreign country. We had an amazing experience... More

Nothing was to much trouble for the staff from the receptionists too the lovely lady in the breakfast room who was always at hand to help... More

Amalfi is a lovely hotel to stay in. It has an enviable location, 5 mins from Termini & 10 mins from Colosseum. We had a triple room and it was a good size. The room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. The staff at the hotel are lovely and could not do enough for us. The breakfast (buffet style) set... More

I'll preface my review by saying that the staff was very kind and helpful. Since we had already been in Rome for quite a few days (we stayed at three different hotels), we already had our bearings, so we didn't get the opportunity to benefit from their hospitality fully, but as I said, they were very pleasant and attentive. For... More

Dear Guest, Thankyou very much for reviewing us! We're glad that you liked our great location, the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff! We're really sorry that you didn't sleep well. We know that some people find our new beds a bit hard and that the bed topper would be usefull. It's true what you tell , on February... More

My mother and I stayed at the Amalfi Hotel for 3 nights in January 2015. We booked the hotel through a package deal with British Airways. It was a good hotel – nice, small and family run. It was close enough to the Termini Train station without being directly beside it. It was close to a few metro stops and... More

Family of four stayed for three nights, beautiful hotel with patios and outdoor space. Room was large, bathroom was large. We had four adults on a room and had plenty of room. Great location in the middle of town. Can't wait till next visit will stay at hotel again. Great staff.

The moment we first arrived, we were warmly greeted by Cosimo! Now, this man was like a father-figure to us! First off, we arrived at the hotel a few hours early for check in and our room was not yet prepared so me and my wife hung out at the hotel lobby. A few minutes later, Cosimo hands us a... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
