It is a small hotel and so the rooms are on the small side, however the beds are quite large but on the firm side (i think they are fairly new) the staff are very friendly and very helpful with advice on getting around, restaurants etc. there is a mini bar in the room but no tea/coffee making facilities , but... Stayed at The Amalfi Hotel for 4 nights. The location is fantastic right in the city centre within sight of Maria Maggiore Church and within 5 mins walk of Termini Station,10-15 mins walk to other major sites such as Collesium, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain. Room was on the small side but it was a kingsize bed which was very comfy.... More

Small, very pleasant family-run hotel, conveniently situated for access to all of Rome's sights.I accept that the bedroom space was "limited" but it's an old building in the centre of a city and the space issue is addressed on the hotel website. Spotlessly clean with helpful staff - a special word of praise for the lady in charge of the... More

We only stayed at the Amafi Hotel for three nights and were very pleased with our choice. Its situation was perfect for our trip being central to all the sites of interest in the city as well as being convieniently placed for the bus and train termini. Our room was spotlessly clean with shower mini fridge and safe, free wi-fi... More

Magnifico...If you want to feel and touch Rome hospitality at its very best within a small family run hotel, then this is for you. We stayed in room 314 a small economy room. The room was exceptionally clean, lovely shower and the room was small but perfect. Yes, the bed is hard, however I always wake up with a bad... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in late January. We couldn't have been happier with the service, which was the kind of service one only finds in a family hotel. The warmth, kindness, and helpfulness of all of the staff really made our stay. Example: on the last night of our stay, we expressed to... More

The hotel is situated centrally for all the sights. The hotel was clean and tidy and well looked after. All the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and always went 'the extra mile' to help. We asked for a change of room, only because my wife felt she couldn't sleep too well because of some traffic noise, and the receptionist was... More

Less than ten minutes walk from the main station (Termini), and if you're even vaguely fit, every other main Rome attraction is within walking distance. The Colosseum is about ten minutes away, and Vatican City a pleasing 45 minute stroll through some fabulous areas of Rome. Free, strong wifi, and great service from the staff. Rooms a tiny bit on... We have just returned from our stay at the beautifully family run Amalfi hotel (17|02|15 - 24|02|15) By far the absolute BEST experience in a hotel so far. They most definitely out do themselves in customer service and to me that certainly makes the difference between a good and bad experience in a foreign country. We had an amazing experience... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
