I had a last minute trip to Rome and booked this hotel based off the ratings of the locations. I was worried about accommodation specifically in Rome being a solo female traveler however this hotel was beyond safe - and the staff were welcoming and friendly. As people say it's not huge, but it's all you need for a stay... More

We stayed at Amalfi hotel for 5 nights, from Roma Termini, the walk is about 15 minutes with luggage. The hotel is relatively close to a supermarket and about 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum. Our room was a little on the small side but manageable. It was comfortable and a kettle is available upon request. There is a lift... More

Hotel Amalfi is in a great location, close to taxis, buses and the train, as well as being in easy walking distance to many of Rome's 'big ticket' sights. Being located next to the well known Santa Maria Maggiore makes it easy if you need directions to get back and the neighbourhood has all the amenities, good eating spots and... More

Great accommodation! Located within walking distance to Termini Station, we were able to reach the hotel with our luggage by foot in under 15 minutes. Though street is busy throughout the day, it was never loud or noisy anywhere in the hotel during our stay. Our room on the fourth floor with was spacious with a little foyer area, large... More

This hotel has potential but is need of some serious TLC. They have 3 managers of which two are friendly and competent but the third one, Angelo, is rude and useless. Our air conditioner and fridge did not work. Their saving grace was the friendly lady who served breakfast and the location was convenient

We stayed in a triple room overlooking the street, with a view of the Basilica and square. I'd read lots of reviews before booking and it was great that the hotel lived up to all the positive comments other reviewers had left. There are a lot of three star hotels in Rome and we've stayed a quite a few of... More

My husband and I traveled to Rome as our last city on a multi-city trip through Italy. The hotel is really great with a very European feel. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff very nice. The lift is very small but that is typical in Europe. This hotel is in the best location in Rome! Highly recommend!

We booked this nice little hotel for 4 nights. Just perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, little rooms but kept clean and with a welcoming decor. we had a room facing the street but with the double glass windows we didn't hear a noice. Rich of choices breakfast. A nice 15 mins walk to the colosseum. I will come... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of June. I agree with everyone else when they say that the location was nice- walking distance from the train station, but far enough away to be out of the shady part of town. You are walking distance to the majority of the major sights or a quick... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
