This hotel is situated in a nice place of Rome, not to far from the coliseum, with a brilliant view out the window. The hotel itself is quiet, welcoming and clean. The reception staff are friendly and there to help with anything. The room itself its big enough, the bathroom is on the small side but is big enough for... More

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful - even supplying complimentary kettle, milk and tea, and the hotel was very well situated for all the sights. Thank you!

Nice location, and ok rooms... Our room had a view to Santa Maria Maggiore, which was very charming, especially in the evening... The rooms were clean and okay, nothing special ! The bathroom was very small, and me being a very tall person caused some minor problems, but no biggie ! :) The breakfast was as most italian places, borring... More

My husband and I stayed at the Amalfi Hotel August 2-5, 2015. We arrived in Rome, after having visited London and Paris and staying at two wonderful hotels in each of those cities. My husband and I were slightly disappointed with this hotel to the point that my husband wanted to switch to a different hotel. As others have commented... More

Dear Madame, Thank you for reviewing us! We’re sad that you didn’t have a nice stay with us but I would like to stress some points: 1) First of all I would like to thank you for stressing the great location of our hotel! 2) Honestly I do not understand what you’re telling about your passport. We do not keep... More

Lovely hotel, very clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is run by a family. The rooms are lovely and you could not want for more being situated near to sights and bars and restaurants and a few minutes easy walk from the main train and bus depot. The breakfast in the morning is very... More

This is a wonderful hotel in Rome with great staff! ANTONIO- who works the front desk has to be one of the most helpful people we encountered in Italy. He was just always there to answer our questions/help with dinner reservations and really helped make our experience in Rome delightful! The rooms are very nicely appointed, very clean. Air conditioning... More

We have stayed for 2 nights here and the location is good, just about 10-15 mins walk from termini train station. The next day, we found out that the hotel is nearer to vittorio emmanuelle station (station after termini) so this may be a better option. Plus the vittorio station is less crowded than termini so there is a greater... More

I had a last minute trip to Rome and booked this hotel based off the ratings of the locations. I was worried about accommodation specifically in Rome being a solo female traveler however this hotel was beyond safe - and the staff were welcoming and friendly. As people say it's not huge, but it's all you need for a stay... More

We stayed at Amalfi hotel for 5 nights, from Roma Termini, the walk is about 15 minutes with luggage. The hotel is relatively close to a supermarket and about 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum. Our room was a little on the small side but manageable. It was comfortable and a kettle is available upon request. There is a lift... More

Hotel Amalfi is in a great location, close to taxis, buses and the train, as well as being in easy walking distance to many of Rome's 'big ticket' sights. Being located next to the well known Santa Maria Maggiore makes it easy if you need directions to get back and the neighbourhood has all the amenities, good eating spots and... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
