Stayed here on first leg of a tour. Hotel was accommodating. While some disliked its location, we found it to be in a good location for walking and winding down after a day of guided touring. Bedroom outdated but liked the spacious bathroom - narrow bath tubs! Staff intrigued with their computers to the point that clearing ones' throat got... More

The hotel was overall a 4*, but there were definitely 5* elements. The best parts (5*) - the staff (front desk and maid service) were terrific and always ready and willing to assist (in english). The location was perfect for reaching any/all of the main attractions - close enough to walk, but also close to the taxi stand. The rooftop... More

This was a tour group hotel. The rooms were small. The bathroom was big. In general, the hotel needs a facelift. The rooftop restaurant was nice, but noisy from the traffic below. I especially loved the Lamb Ragu. This was the 4th hotel on our visit to Italy and it didn't live up to the others. Considering the amount of... More

Only stayed here one night as meeting point for my tour to Northern Italy. Compared to the other 4 hotels on our trip, this was the best, by far. The room was large, the location excellent, and the staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was superb-- great baked goods and fresh fruit (not canned)! Our included dinner... More

The staff went out of their way to be kind, help us in every way that they could. We had not taken the train or the subway and they were so helpful. We had a wonderful room with a view, balcony, plenty of room and a refrigerator. Great place to stay!

This hotel is to the north end of the centre of Rome and looks out onto the ancient Aurelian walls. The area seems to one of the grander parts of Rome with the USA embassy, Harry's Bar and other more expensive hotels just a few footsteps away. It's also very handy for Villa Borghese. Our room was a double on... More

This hotel is very close to the Villa Borghese. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The service is friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are generous and plentiful. There is a lovely roof garden restaurant where after long tiring days of exploring Rome we were able to enjoy lovely dinners in lovely surroundings at reasonable cost. (Just one warning, take care... Although this is a nice hotel and our room was quiet and clean I cannot recommend it because of several problems we encountered that were not addressed. First of all, the air conditioning does not work well. We were there in May and our room was never adequately cool even when the air was running at top speed. And the... More

We spent one night only. The room was clean and the bathroom large and spotless. Breakfast was lovely in their nice restaurant. The front desk staff were more than helpful. Unfortunately we couldn't explore the surroundings because of the time factor but it appeared to be a central location to the upmarket shops and a lovely park. Would definitely stay... More

We spent seven nights at the Hotel Victoria in Rome in March 2015. The hotel is located in a very quiet area of the city and yet has easy access to all the main sites. Although all key sites are within walking distance (and we did walk either to or from most of them) the metro is reasonably close by.... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
