This was the third time for us to stay at The Savoy in Rome. We have always enjoyed staying here & will continue to in the future. You can't beat the location & there are so many great restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly, especially Stefano, whom we have known for years! I love that you can open the... More

We stayed in the hotel for about 7 days. Staff are great and helpful. The location is wonderful. Room size was very good. The only downsides I can think off is Room service because it is 24 hours and it is a bit over priced. Also, the Internet connection was really bad. I will definitely consider coming back again.

We booked a room for 3 nights for our honeymoon stay in Rome. After having a mishap with the embassy to get the Schengen Visa, this made us miss our flight and book another one, so we showed up one day late at this hotel. As a kind gesture from them for this unfortunate delay, they kindly upgraded our room... More

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and for a short trip the hotel is perfectly positioned to get into all the main sights. The rooms were clean and quiet and the staff were helpful. The breakfast was nice too. I would recommend it for a short stay or for a weekend trip but only if you can get a... More

We stayed at the Savoy before embarking on a Cunard cruise. This hotel is a fabulous spot. Our room was huge with a spacious bath. The rooftop restaurant was a wonderful retreat after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious. The staff was over the top helpful with dining suggestions and the desk clerk (concierge) was... More

I haven't used a travel agent in a while but got assistance from one for a few places to stay during our recent trip to Italy. This was one and it was a great one. Situated off the Via Veneto on a tree lined street this area is quiet yet a short walk to the Spanish Steps and the ridiculously... More

Breakfast is fantastic- there is sufficient choice of everything and it is well organized. the hotel is very conveniently situated within walking distance of most attractions.. However,... More

Perhaps we were given a room for a handicapped person. If that was the case we should have been told before hand when we checked in. The beds were very low to the ground and difficult to get in and out of. The bathroom was very uncomfortable. The shower was right across from the toilet with no door so when... More

My wife & I and two close friends stayed here 25 -28 Sep 14. We found ourselves in a very difficult situation at check in late at night. It would be unfair to the Hotel to publish the details but the Hotel staff, lead by Emiliano, handled a very awkward situation with great tact, diplomacy and professionalism and are a... More

My husband and I stayed here. The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms were good size which came as a surprise. Front counter staff was snotty for some reason. They had a rooftop bar/lounge which was absolutely beautiful. Great view of Rome rooftops you could even see St. Peters basilica in the distance. We went up there one... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
