I arrived at the Savoy at midday and was told that my room wasn't ready and was told to come back at 14:00. Fair enough, so up to the roof terrace for a few drinks and some lunch to ease into the short-break. I returned at 14:30 to find the receptionist in a complete fluster trying to find my room.... Booked through secret escapes for a good price. Hotel purports to be 4* but really only merits 3. Reception staff pleasant room adequate but paper cups for tea & coffee + no milk which had to be ordered via room service, weird. Location good, 100m from tour bus stop. Watch out for rip off taxi from station!!!

We booked this through Secret Escapes and were prepared for the worst (rooms not available etc) as described in some other reviews. What a very pleasant surprise this hotel was. When we were checked in by Alessandra, a very helpful young lady, we knew we were in very safe hands. She noticed from the passports that two of our party... More

Well presented hotel in decent location of Rome. Just 5 mins walk from Spanish steps and 20 mins from Pantheon. Room was lovely and spacious however would have benefited from tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast ok and inclusive in price. Staff were very helpful and friendly, giving us a map and directing us to nearest sightseeing spots. Limited room service facilities... More

We stayed at the Savoy for five nights when we were in Rome. The location is great and nearby to many of the places you'll no doubt want to visit. The rooms were decent, but the pillows were fairly uncomfortable, so I would recommend bringing your own pillow. We all enjoyed the breakfast, and the food was better than expected.... More

React location, service, cleanliness and comfort. This is a great hotel to stay in while in Rome. Breakfast buffet is very nice, rooms are very clean. You will not be disappointed. A must stay when in Rome.

We have attended a conference and stayed at Hotel Savoy. Impressed with the friendly staff which made us feel at home. Great team under the leadership of Mr Necci, GM of the hotel. The terrace is very pleasant to enjoy some fresh air and drinks or an elegant meal watching Rome from above. Thanks to all who made our stay... More

I have stayed for 4 nights here with my boyfriend between 12-16'th of march and I can say my experience was pleasent. On 13'th was my birthday, and when We got back at the hotel that day I found a very nice bottle of Proseco, complimentary from the manager, probably they've seen its my birthday when they made a copy... My husband and I stayed for two nights, we found the staff friendly and welcoming. They were helpful with late check out and local transport links. Breakfast was exceptional as were the rooms. Clean hotel, great location and very good value for money.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
