5 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

We stayed three days two nights at the refurbished Hotel Savoy in Rome. The guest services were helpful with free email. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom that included a bidet. We loved the free morning breakfast in their large grotto downstairs. Beautiful garden top restaurant and bar upstairs where you can see the city.

I have been to Rome many times. This time I wanted to be near Via Veneto in a spacious, clean, air conditioned hotel, but as I was traveling with 2 teenagers, I did not want to spend the money on a luxury hotel. Hotel Savoy was perfect for us. Rome is meant for walking, and we walked easily to all... More

We recently spent 5 nights in Rome at the Savoy. The location was perfect to access all parts of Rome by foot, metro or bus. The staff were all very friendly and spoke excellent English. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was fantastic although there were no oats on offer! We will definitely stay here if ever we are fortunate... More

We chose this hotel to be close enough to the places we wanted to visit but at the same time be quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The hotel is set in an old palace with all the grandeur that brings with it. The staff were very charming, helpful and attentive. The room was spotless and spacious, air conditioned... More

Large room, quiet, clean with a very good price, Breakfast was excellent and covered all requirements. The staff was very friendly. Hotel in the best neighborhood in Rome. You could go anywhere walking without much effort. The best combination of quality and price. Highly recommended.

So many pros: The concierge was super responsive over Facebook messenger, even after we left and I realized I left part of a charger behind! They checked and it's now in the post! One late afternoon, I went to the Terrace to bring back to our room some drinks, and the waitress was so lovely! I was expecting to take... More

The bathrooms were better than the rooms both in size and comforrt. Breakfast... More

Decent location in Rome. Would have liked to be a tad little closer to attractions. It did help walk off the daily pizza and pasta.Room was clean and a nice size. Loved the small well appointed bathroom and all of the marble. Has a great bathtub. Reception was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, should please anyone with the large... More

Absolutely amazing hotel. Fantastic location, 5 minutes walk to Spanish steps, 15 minutes to colosseum, about 30 minutes walk to the Vatican. Emiliano, reception manager, looked after us so well and made us feel like we were royalty. Our room was beautiful, modern, clean, huge bed, and so quiet. Breakfast is excellent. Make sure you pick this hotel and you... More

I went to Rome with my family to explore the city for the first time spring 2015. We arrived at Termini Train Station Saturday May 1st around 1pm and took a stroll through the city to find the Hotel Savoy. The choice of hotel was based on critreria such as "available babybed" and "breakfast included" as well as recommendations on... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
