Stayed here for three nights. The receptionist who checked us in was very good. The exterior of the hotel was very pretty but the room was mediocre and small. I suppose we didn't go for the most expensive hotel so shouldn't complain. The chap at check out seemed a little annoyed when I asked about the "city tax" on our... More

Stayed at hotel in July with my wife for two night break. The hotel was fine and within walking distance of most of central Romes attractions. Rooftop cocktail bar was awesome and plenty of bars situated locally. Must try Gregorys jazz bar just around the corner from hotel which we attended on a Friday night ( email bookings accepted )... This hotel has an ideal location near the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain and the Villa Borghese and the Via Veneto. The rooms are larger than in many hotels in Italy. Most of the staff speak English or are happy to try to understand your broken Italian. Dining on the rooftop I marveled that this might have been the... More

Great location right off the Via Veneto. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Every single staff member i dealt with was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. The rooms are nice, and the breakfast buffet was incredible. And the rooftop bar is just icing on this delicious cake! And if you like museums, dont miss the Borghese, only a few short blocks away-but... More

I have stayed here in the past and stayed away due to their high charges for WiFi over the past several years. It is now included, which made me return to this property on my last trip to Rome in December. The front desk staff get high marks for their courtesy and willingness to help with anything you may need.... More

Booked through Hotels.com so got a great rate, Amazing breakfast buffet every morning, Happy hour in the lobby in the evening. Great neighborhood near the Via Veneto with wonderful shopping. Close to the Metro stop - near Spanish Steps and Fountain of Trevi. The only problem was that the shower had a glass panel instead of a curtain and the... More

Hotelis maybe 10% occupied yet we're given probably the worst room in the entire building. The bathroom smells of the drains,we're on the sixth floor above the parapet so the tiny window has no veiw. The restaurant serves food that is at best tepid and entirely unseasoned. There are however plus points, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast... More

Had a lovely stay in this hotel, steps off the Via Veneto. The hotel has a rooftop bar and restaurant, which was nice even in December. The Borghese Gardens are a few blocks away. It is about halfway between the Piazza Barberini and the Spanish Steps. Piazza Barberini is slightly closer via a 10-15 minute down the Via Veneto. The... More

We spent 2 nights here in early December, having booked through Secret Escapes for a bargain price. The hotel's location allowed us to walk to all the major sites - we even walked leisurely back to the hotel from St Peter's one afternoon, stopping to browse in the many shops along the way. The staff were more than helpful, and... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
