Stayed at the Savoy over valentines weekend. Staff were so helpful and friendly and checked us in quickly. Room was lovely, spacious, modern and clean. Roof terrace was great for food and drinks and yet again great staff. Breakfast was a very nice surprise as id imagined that it would just be continental but bacon and eggs were available! Hotel... My husband and I stayed here for a weekend over valentines. It is a gorgeous hotel and the room was very impressive. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and the bathrooms are big. The breakfast was absolutely divine! There was so much choice and everything was fresh and delicious. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is close to all... More

We booked back in October ,with Secret Escapes and paid in full for three couples. When the First couple arrived they were told that the hotel had overbooked and there were no rooms available. My friend rang me and I contacted the Duty Manager at the Hotel and he told me the same. I rang Secret Escapes and they said... More

On arrival issue with booking and spent first night in alternate Hotel. This was disappointing as we had traveled from Venice & Florance so already done a lot of packing and unpacking. Room very pleasant with great on suite with bath. Breakfast particularly good well presented with plenty of choice. Hoped to eat in roof top restaurant but with delayed... More

The pros: nice staff, good breakfast, free wi-Fi, large room and bathroom (compared to most European city hotels), excellent soundproofing from street noise, nice area to find restaurants. The cons: no kettle in the room, rickety elevators, rooms are too warm! Everyday we had to open the window to cool our room down and therefore listen to a symphony of... More

Me and my fiancée stayed here for 2 nights in January for a quick city break. The hotel is located in a nice area of rome within easy walking distance of the Spanish steps, trevi fountain and Italian Parlament. The hotel has some lovely views of the city from the rooftop bar which In summer would have been idillic. The... More

Booked on 30 Sep 2014 for 3 nights stay starting 6 Feb 2015. Arrived at hotel to be told that there "was a problem" with the booking system and that there was no availability. Could it be that they charged the room out for more money?????? Was re-directed to another hotel. Booking was made via Secret Escapes so not impressed... More

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. It seems like that whatever we could have done wrong we did and I am deeply sorry about it as we are not what you experience. I love this hotel. Only a short stroll to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Borghese Gardens & Museum. Public transportation a few blocks away at Barberini. I've stayed here 3 times in the past 6 yrs & will continue to do so. The staff is amazing including Emiliano (reception manager). They know I'm somewhat of a regular & treated us... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
