5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Went to this hotel with my girlfriend with plans to propose. I told the hotel of my plans and they were very accommodating. Staff is very friendly and rooms were really nice, very modern and spacious. Roof top restaurant was fairly priced but the view was amazing. Stay for the breakfast as it's worth every penny! Would highly recommend this... More

The Hotel Savoy is in a convenient part of Rome and on a more quiet street than a lot of the other hotels, which I liked. I am not a terrific computer user and I had trouble with everything but Georgio, the concierge, was wonderful, taking the time to answer all my questions, no matter how trivial. He aided me... More

I always strive to stay positive however, my feeling about this hotel are very mixed. First off we booked a room with a King bed. The desk clerk stated that was not the case because the King bed was not available with the package we purchased. After much discussion, we were offered two choices. We picked the room with a... Typical 4* hotel business like. Well located with metro and taxis nearby. Nearby shops and restaurants. Would recommend for a short stay. Rooms are OK and have everything you need. Isolation could be better, you hear people in the corridor.

Excellent hotel, great location, rooms very clean. Hotel is close yo the Barbieri subway stop. One drawback is that they seem to perfume the rooms which can be a bit strong especially in the elevators. Breakfast buffet is very good, a nice selection of eggs, bacon sausages, cheeses breads and pastries.

We stayed at the Savoy on a short 5 night break. On arrival we were told by the reception manager that there had been an over sight and he had arranged for us to spend the first night of our stay in a nearby hotel. This proved to be no problem and when we went back to the Savoy the... More

I stayed at the Hotel Savoy in June with my daughter pre-cruise. The hotel staff make this hotel a 5 star hotel. We were cheated by a fake taxi from the airport (charged us 180 euros for trip to hotel instead of 48) and the reception staff were very helpful as well as outraged on our behalf. They made a... The hotel was comfortable, clean and in a good location just off Via Veneto and close to Villa Borghese and the Spanish Steps. The breakfast was good and the younger hotel staff were very helpful. The older staff did not seem as customer focused. Overall a good hotel and although not cheap the price is reasonable for the centre of... More

My husband and I decided to spend our 8th wedding anniversary in Rome this year and stayed in Westin Excelsior from 22 May to 27 May. We wanted to extend our stay for another 2 nights and conveyed our intention to the front desk on the 1st day we arrived, but was told we had to check back on the... More

I stayed at the Savoy a couple of weeks ago with my mum and thought I would leave it a little while before writing my review as I didn't want to go over the top. In a summary the Hotel was OK, not great, not awful, but certainly not worth the money paid, our room was nothing like the picture... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
