We stayed here firstly as part of a tour group and then after the tour had finished. The hotel is a reasonable distance from Central station but close to other attractions like the Colosseum. We had breakfast as part of the tour and the breakfasts were good. The rooms were a reasonable size, nothing exceptional and doubtful a four star... More

We stayed for 3 nights on a tour group and was completely surprised how close we were to the Colosseum, about a block away. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. If you walk out of the hotel and go right you will come upon steps to the right that lead to the backway of the hotel.... More

Location is the good side of this hotel. The bedroom was not the most comfortable we've seen in Rome. The fridge was too noisy and the shower was even too cold or too hot. The breakfast was good and had fresh food. The staff was very helpful. I just don't think it should be a 4 stars hotel. Its good... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a group touring Italy. The location is great..it was within a short walk to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, shops, restaurants and the Rome Metro. The room was very clean and comfortable and the heating/cooling system was quiet. The hotel staff were accommodating. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant and... More

The hotel was a good choice for not only its super location but also for its excellent breakfast and some other good features. The hotel was between the main train station Termini and Colosseo, with one metro stop in each direction. The Cavour metro station is about 100 yards from the hotel. This was a typical European hotel in the... More

Great hotel for anyone wanting to stay in Rome without paying the ridiculous prices! The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to see the sights but doesn't want to have to take a taxi everyday

We stayed at the Palatino over christmas for 5 nights. Arriving 24 December in the evening we were checked in quickly and given a room on the 3rd floor. LOCATION: perfect. Right near the Colloseum great base to explore the city. We walked everywhere and didn't feel it was too far. If needed the metro is nearby and there are... More

we had two rooms on the 7th floor in the back. The rooms were very clean and modern, the bathroom was large as well. The hotel is popular with tours (we were on one) so the lobby can be hectic at times with all the different groups come and going. The breakfast was excellent with a very good variety of... More

The hotel looks very well maintained, the decor, the cleanliness. The breakfast was vast considering it was complimentary, the location is very convenient. I work in hospitality in New York City and perhaps thats the reason why I tend to judge the service more than anything, because in this business thats what makes the difference from your competitors, I felt... Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
