We did not enjoy the Palatino. While the breakfast was good, and the safe worked, that's about the end of the story. The bathroom featured a half-sized shower glass and a V-shaped tub that was impossible to stand comfortably in and take a shower. By the time you were done, you had to use your towel to mop up the... This property is close to the Colosseum but not to any of the other sights you are probably in Rome to see. For as much time as you stay in the room, it is adequate, but be aware the walls are super thin so if you want to get to bed and your neighbors come in much later bring earplugs... More

Rooms quite small but enough for our requirements. Not a great deal of choice at the breakfast buffet and I found that the "hot" options were lukewarm. Air conditioning good. Close to train station and the colosseum. Staff generally helpful and kind.

The Hotel Palatino is a wonderful hotel with great rooms with terrace and clean spacious bathrooms with all amenities. Special thanks to Roberto for his help and graciousness. The hotel was a walk to the coliseum and Palatine and Captiline Hills. Lovely piazza behind the hotel and a UPS store one block over. Also laundromat up the street. Very good... More

Love spending three nights in that hotel. Super clean, very informative and friendly staff great breakfast and most of all very clean. The only negative I can say is, away from city center but you can get there by bus or taxi the location is not the best but hotel is the best, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone

We arrived early from the states (about 7:30 a.m.) and of course our room was not ready. We did however take advantage of the couches in the lobby to get a little shut eye. Our rooms were ready that afternoon. There are two elevators, which really took a long time. There were steps as well, which we took at times,... More

As I have made 2 trips to this hotel once 2 years ago and one recently I decided to combine into 1 review. Both times the rooms had modern decor with free wifi. Booked as part of a tour, the buffet breakfasts had a decent selection and were ok. 2 years ago we had a vastly superior room with a... More

Stayed at the Grand Palatino the 1st of June for 3 days. Very good location to Collisium and other points of interest. Hotel has very comfortable beds and very friendly front desk staff. Rooms are clean and safe, showers are great. Breakfast included and a full range of food. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Me and a friend spent 3 days in Rome. We chose this hotel because of the location ( it's 5 min to the Colosseo). The hotel is ok, the room was tidy and clean, but the service was awful. The recepcionists are very unfriendly, well to be honest they don't speak at all. All of them ,without any exception, made... More

The location of the Palatino is fabulous for visiting the ancient Roman area of Rome. The Colosseum is within a few minutes walk, great shopping also very close by, the Ancient and Imperial forum areas are also close by and it is an easy walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and other sights. The public areas of the hotel and... More
