Our stay here for three nights was actually a part of the cruisetour we booked with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Beds were comfortable, the room was clean with an updated modern decor in a building that was quaintly old. But, as reported elsewhere, the air conditioning was controlled by the house and only ran at specific hours each day (7 PM... More

At our arrival we were greeted by Amarantha at the front desk who through our stay behaved in a friendly and professional manner. Our room was clean and served all of our needs during our visit to Rome. The breakfast area was spacious and there was plenty of food.

This is a perfectly located hotel - not far from the Colosseum, and not far from the city centre either. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the hotel from the Termini station also. The room was fairly basic - we were oddly given a disabled room which appeared rather dingy. I opened the window once and our view... More

We booked via the Hotel's website to save 16% over other listings. We had a great room on the 7th floor with a panoramic view toward the west. Staff was very attentive, especially Ornelia. She made several calls for me to find someone who could unlock our suitcases as well as credit card taxi service to get there. We were... More

Very central to many tourist destinations... but parking is a nightmare. Our Trafalgar tour bus partly blocked the main street whenever it stopped to allow us to embark or disembark in front of the hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient and the choice of food at breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. This is luxury so whilst in... More

This hotel was within an easy walk of the Coliseum and Forum and the subway. Very clean, with large rooms. Great food in the restaurant. They provided us with a "if you get lost card" to enable us to give directions back to the hotel. Would use it again.

This hotel is close to the Forum and the Coliseum, but the rest of the area was very dirty and run down. The staff was more than rude and not helpful at all. After calling down to the front desk and not getting and answer, I hopped down to find 3 staffers talking and no customers standing there. I stood... More

We had two rooms, a double and a triple as part of a tour. Rooms were small but comfortable and clean. US plugs were available in the rooms. Breakfast daily was good! This was a nice bonus. We had dinner with the group in the dining room one night and this was great. The house wine (white and red) was... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
