Our first time in Rome and i read many reviews on this hotel. Some were good, some were bad, but decided to experience it for myself. Arrived today and like the other reviews, the location is not that great. Only good thing about the hotel is free internet, breakfast, and it is near the termini and subway. The reception and... The hotel is wonderfully located...less than 5 mins walk from Termini station. The Vittorio Emaneulle metro station is just behind the hotel as well which connects to all the major attractions like Vatican museums, Plaza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. I opted for a twin room since I was on a holiday with my father and the fifth floor... More

We stayed her for 3 nights at the end of July/beginning of August, very nice room everything worked and beds were very comfy. Staff we're friendly and helpful, took 10 mins from the train station, lots of nice restaurants if you turn left out of hotel and continue towards end of the street, very nice stay.

The neighborhood does not feel safe at all, around 7pm the surrounding fills with small gangs and drifters. By morning you have the broken beer bottles and urine smell on each corners. Out of my 7 hotels stays in the past 3 weeks this is the worst. If a small issue comes up, they felt like it was the end... More

Would recommend another hotel. My wife and I just got back from a two week trip across Europe and this was our worst hotel. The room was the smallest we d been in. Some of the staff was not friendly and rude. It's in a bad neighborhood long walk from train station

We stayed at the Ambra Palace for five nights in July 2014. The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is very good. Every staff person we had any dealings with was patient, courteous, and helpful. The hotel is located for convenient walking to major sites. Also, taxis are readily available at the train station. We can recommend this... More

The only plus to this hotel is that it is clean. The rooms are very small and I felt very closed in. Also there is no bathtub in the room unless you upgrade to superior. There is not 24/7 roomservice. The staff is friendly though. I wish my husband and I would have spent some extra money on a nicer... More

Staff great room lovely and breakfast very good. What a pity it is in a rough area by 150 yards. It's very handy for all transport buses trains and metro but stick to the main busy road to access the hotel. It's just a little too much in an area you don't want to be alone in at night. Otherwise... More

We generally enjoyed the stay at this hotel. We had 2 adjoining rooms. We were disappointed that the staff argued with us regarding the phrase "12 and under". Because our youngest daughter would have been 13 in 2 months, they said she did not fall in the 12 and under category. They conceded but it was frustrating. Did not feel... More

A nice compact hotel located to the rail termini and a metro station and walking distance from the colloseum. No lawns no parks just rooms and a sumptuous breakfast. As a tourist looking for comfortable night stay, filling breakfast and easy communications, this hotel meets the requirements adequately. The neighbourhood though, appears to be a bit unsafe but may not be... More
