Close to the metro and in a good location, that's about it. Slow wi-fi, breakfast is spartan, the mattress was bent, mold in the bathroom walls and ceiling, bidet tap not working, single electrical socket in the bedroom...recommend only for a short stay on a budget.

Dear Andre_Alho, we are sorry that you had higher expectations about our hotel and that our continental breakfast looked spartan to you, we offer more than a 3 stars standard requires: 2-3 types of ham and cheese, bread, croissants, cakes, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, jam, chocolate and nuts cream, cereals, milk, tea, coffee, juices, hot chocolate, etc. We will do... Dear Marie H, thanks for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed our central location, on a quiet Street, close to Termini station, room size, cleaning and staff. This hotel is simple, decoration are vintage but it offered best value for money. Breakfast is free but don't expect organic food :) The situation is good to discover Rome. Near Repubblica, and near two metro stations (A or B) , you could discover what you want in few minutes.

Average 3* hotel which has very good location - ~10 min to Termini Station and few minutes to Metro - Castro Pretorio stop. Room is small, but clean. There is mould at the bathroom and rust at water tap, so bathroom could be better than it is now. Breakfast was good.

For Americans that have never been to Europe before, their moderately priced hotels (especially ones in the older part of the cities) are usually a star higher than what a similar hotel would be rated in the US, have smaller rooms, and any included breakfast is a lot less than a "full American breakfast buffet". I think some of the... More

The only 2 good things about this hotel are: perfect location and friendly staff. Its located very close to the metro station and next to the metro station there is a very convenient grocery store. I personally used the metro only once to go to Vatican, because the hotel is 15 min walking from the city center and main attractions.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
