It was a real gift to come to Rome for the 1st time and to stay in a hotel situated so conveniently in the very center of the city (3 steps up to Termini subway station), everything was just OK, the room had been cleaned up in time, all the electrical equipment (air conditioning system, light turn on/off, TV and... Great location. The price is very reasonable. Don't expect luxury. It's clean not big bedrooms but comfortable. All the employees very nice and helpful. The Bassilicca Santamaria near in that plaza good restaurants and Italian coffee places.

The hotel was nice but there is nothing around the hotel. You cannot walk anywhere from this hotel you must use transat. Not even sidewalks at all. The breakfast was very good. They did provide a shuttle to the Vatican museum. The reception staff were just okay. The property needs some upgrades.....carpets are old and stained.

Unfortunately I got a room on the first floor facing the road, there was constant noise and I couldn't sleep well. Since it is close to the train station it is convenient if you are staying in Rome a short time. Rooms are ok. Gym costs 14 euro extra each time you want to go and it is not very... More

We stayed for 3 nights in June 2015. The hotel is 3 short blocks from Rome's Termini station - easy walk with luggage. The hotel is clean, the staff were polite and helpful (they let us leave some bags in their storage room prior to checking in when we went to Venice for 3 days). Our room was on the... More

It was a below average hotel, and I would recommend travellers do more research to find something better for the same price. I think that their advertisement of it as a 4 star is an outright lie - maybe they were back in the 80's when they opened, and have throughout the years remained stuck in. The beds were comfortable... More

The hotel is just near the bus station, staff are friendly, and very clean rooms, the hotel just makes u feel u r in Rome, the old touch is nice, the restaurants near by is good, and the receptionist always gives good advise, the hop on hop off is a good idea to use, and its first and second stop... This was nice, but stay away from the DaVinci B&B in Rome, total rip off. Not a B&B, it is some guys bedroom he rents. This hotel is close to train station and close to sites to visit. The red Hop on Hop off bus tour is ok but best to sign up with private tour to see the sites... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
