i found the reception staff very helpful . Asked for extra pillows - no problem , forgot my adapter, no problem, directions and advise given. Room was small and clean, no kettle . Breakfast was good and plenty of it. It is only 10-15 mins from the colosseum. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel, got a great deal with ebookers. Very standard room but we only needed it for the bed while we saw Rome. Close to everything and brilliant restaurants on the same street. Staff nice although would advise a do not disturb sign on the door as we were disturbed one afternoon. Breakfast was nice but we only had it... More

Stayed at Borromeo during Spring Break and the hotel accommodations were average. There was "No Wi-Fi" available for most of our stay. Each day we were told that the wi-fi was out when we returned from sight-seeing and that it had been working earlier. We were told that it wasn't the hotel fault but that it was from problems on... We stayed in the borromeo hotel for three nights city break for my 40th birthday ok it's not 5* but it was clean friendly and staff were more than helpful. The breakfast was lovely not a massive choice but enough to get by. We thoroughly enjoyed no complaints at all.

Stayed here in January for a short honeymoon break with my husband. Great location, walking distance to everything. The hotel had a good breakfast which really set us up for the days sightseeing. The room was comfortable and clean. Only thing it lacked was British TV, even a few channels would have been nice. All in all it does what... More

We spent 1 night at this hotel and the location was awesome. We were warned that this area was unsafe at night but we didn't experience any problems at all. The staff was accommodating and the bed was very comfortable. Within walking distance to many attractions as well as great restaurants.

We stayed at Hotel Borromeo for three nights. It's great in the fact that it is close to the Colosseum, a short ten minute walk. The breakfast provided in the morning was okay, not great. The staff was very nice and the hotel is kept clean. My room had some mold in it, but not enough to be overly alarming.... More

A great hotel for location and service. As a family of 5 we requested a 5-bedded room and that is exactly what we got, a double room with 3 single beds squeezed in. As we were only using it as a base for our sight seeing trip we found it sufficient. The breakfast buffet in the morning was standard; scrambled... More

Our room was quiet and clean. We were a family of three. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good in that it wasn't far to walk to the Colosseum/Forum. You need to walk Rome anyway so this hotel wasn't too much to add to the daily trek. The breakfast was ample, there was also a hot breakfast... More

A good hotel with excellent service from the front desk. Had a family room with plenty of space for the 5 of us. Location is a major plus with most attractions, lots of restaurants and public transport easy walking distance. It is a little noisy from the street but you are in the middle of the city. Wifi included and... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
