For a young couple, the room was perfect. The size was good enough for us. For those who are used to large room space, they might find it small, however for us it was perfect. It had all the necessary things. The shower room had all the necessities: sink, toilet, shower, bidet, hair drier, central heating to heat the towels,... More

The location of this hotel was great, the decor was cute and one desk clerk was amazingly helpful. However as another woman stated in her review there are bugs (bed bugs?) in this hotel. My daughter and son are covered in bites and miserable. My daughter is on two antihistamines and steroids her bites are so bad. Also the mattress... More

Stayed here during my families trip to Rome. Upon checkin we arrived early so we were able to store our bags. Check in time is at 2, but he said our room would be ready by 12 which was great after a long day of traveling from France. The lobby is nice, but generally smells of smoke. The desk agent... More

Gigi, the receptionist, was very professional and willing to help anytime it was asked! Once we arrived at the hotel he gave us very detailed information for the area around and nice restaurant suggestions. He even offered to give us his own umbrella on a rainy day during our stay in Rome. Wish every hotel had such thoughtful, responsible and... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the end of November at the Borromeo Hotel after I’d seen very good reviews on Trip Adviser. We had very mixed feelings about it and I will try and make this review as factual as possible. The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk of Termini and close to many of... More

Initially I didnt realise what a happy choice I had made for my 6 days solo sightseeing visit to Rome. Only gradually did the delights of the area reveal themselves. My room was very comfortable and I was blessed with a big open balcony which really added to the experience. Breakfast was served on another balcony and was a jolly... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in November as a small break to visit Rome. The decoration and modernness mixed with the old side is beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean. Close to alot of locations we walked everywhere except the Vatican. Train station was close. Lovely icecream shop nearby. The only downside is the breakfast. Too many... More

I had an amazing time at Hotel Borromeo. While the room was on the small side, it was very cozy and had a lovely view.. The location was PERFECT! There are so many attractions within a short walk, and the hotel staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

My family and I (husband, 2 kids under 16) stayed at the Borromeo for 4 nights. Gigi, Igor, Alessandro, and Virgilio couldn't have been nicer. They were so helpful and treated us like family. Gigi always made sure that our tour accommodations were in place. He never hesitated to help us and offered us drinks and chocolate when we were... More

Stayed here on a girlie 40th birthday weekend in Rome. We booked a triple room facing the main street, however, it was neither cramped or noisy. Hotel is centrally based Location and within walking distance (10-15min stroll) of the Colosseum, central Rome and other main attractions. Also, very short walk to 2 underground stations. Rooms are well equipped and perfect... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
