This was our 2nd & 3rd times to stay at the Hotel Borromeo – 6 nights total – with 3 nights away for a visit to Pompeii and Sorrento. This reasonably priced hotel has a great central location for people who like to walk, as my husband and I do. It’s located on Via Cavour, just a few blocks from... More

Gigi was very helpful and even upgraded my room when it was available. Spacious and modern facility. Reasonably good breakfast ranging from bread to cold cut meat. The location was terrific because it is within the walking distance from the termini station (main)!

Spend a few weeks at the Hotel Borromeo, it could not have been in a better location! It was close to the termini train station and just minutes from the Colosseum. It was perfectly situated in the center of everything making it easy to walk to most of the 'famous' sites. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Roma!

Just back from a quick trip to Rome. Found this little hotel on line and it was priced perfectly for our budget. A Short 10-15 minute walk to the Termini, and short 10-15 minute walk to the Colosseum and surrounding sites. The breakfast was plentiful, eggs, pancetta, pastries, coffee, juice, apples and oranges we took along for later, etc.. Front desk... More

This hotel has a great location and close to main attractions, which after 5 days here, applies to most hotels. Our room was fine with an extra bed for our family of five...not tons of room, but was alright. Shower had nice power, but the bed was on the hard side. Wifi worked ok. Nice check in by Igor.

We were there for 2 nights. the rooms are a bit small but it wasn't imporrtant for us. we ordered a taxi from the hotel (we paid for it of course) and the driver came to pick us up from the airport, he was very generous and help us with our luggage. The Receptionist was also very kind and provided... More

We stayed here for a week, the breakfast was good, plenty of choice. The room was small, but to be honest we didnt come to Rome to spend time in our room. Great location to walk to coliseum and other sites. The staff were friendly and helpful couldn't fault them. The only problem we had was in the morning when... More

i found the reception staff very helpful . Asked for extra pillows - no problem , forgot my adapter, no problem, directions and advise given. Room was small and clean, no kettle . Breakfast was good and plenty of it. It is only 10-15 mins from the colosseum. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel, got a great deal with ebookers. Very standard room but we only needed it for the bed while we saw Rome. Close to everything and brilliant restaurants on the same street. Staff nice although would advise a do not disturb sign on the door as we were disturbed one afternoon. Breakfast was nice but we only had it... More

Dear Mrs.Laura, thank you very much for your positive review. We are glad you had a pleasant stay in our hotel and we hope to see you soon again. We apologize for the disturb one afternoon while you were in the room, it was probably a room check. Best Regards The Management More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
