I would like to take this opportunity to thank the management and staff of Hotel Borromeo in Rome. Every single staff member was exceedingly courteous and helpful, volunteering advice and assistance and taking excellent care of us from the beginning of our stay to the end. For travelers considering Hitel Borromeo: Pros: too many to list, but an attempt would... More

I was booking a room for the Country Hotel Borromeo outside Milan and Expedia mistakenly booked me into this hotel instead. Even though they had plenty of advanced warning, they refused to refund my money.

Dear Mrs.Lucy, we are very surprised of your review. You firstly say to not book with us and then you said you booked us through Expedia ( so you did not book with us). Then you said that Expedia booked you the wrong hotel, when instead you made the booking and you made the mistake with the hotel booking us... More

Me and my partner stopped here in August and we had the best time and will be going back again. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Especially when we made the mistake of thinking we were checking out a day later the staff couldn't have been more helpful in trying to find us another room. Rooms were clean and efficient... More

We were staying in this hotel for 8 nights. Room was very tiny ( we had triple room). We asked to move the TV from the table so we could put some of our things on. Bathroom was tiny so we have to keep shower door open otherwise is not enough space to move. Poor water pressure in the shower.... More

The staff at Hotel Borromeo was very kind and accommodating.Initially, we had a very small room for the 3 of us. However they did move us to a slightly larger room with a balcony. The rooms, in general, are small but we spent little time in the room and were very close to termini station and the Colosseum. The street... More

Most hotels did not have rooms for more than three. It was averrable at a last minutes notice. It was clean and comfortable for 4 which included two teens. It had ac and a good size bathroom. The complementary breakfast was delicious and had a large menu selection. The employees were upbeat and friendly.

Hotel is great value for the money. Don't expect Ritz at these prices but the rooms are clean and the bathroom is actually really nice. The highlight though was the night receptionist named Virgilio. He proactively explained everything we would need to know so we could sightsee without looking like a lost tourist. When you arrive he will ask you... More

My husband and I stayed at the Borromeo for 4 nights from 12th-16th July and we extremely happy with our choice of hotel! The room itself was very clean and of a good size with both a double bed and a single in it. The bathroom was a good size, as was the shower. The room wasn't massive by any... More

Stayed here in July in the middle of a heat wave. 99+ degrees F every day. I was so happy to have a hotel with AC that I could control myself! When I arrived, the AC was actually too cold and I had to set it to a more reasonable 25 C. Average amount of room noise from neighbors but... More

We stayed at Hotel Borromeo for three nights with our three children. Our room consisted of two spaces with a tiny shower room with toilet and a normal sized bathroom with a toilet. The beds were very comfortable, and the room clean. The breakfast on the roof terrace did the job too. Not super luxury but very functional, and great... More

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
