My husband and I stayed at the Borromeo for 4 nights from 12th-16th July and we extremely happy with our choice of hotel! The room itself was very clean and of a good size with both a double bed and a single in it. The bathroom was a good size, as was the shower. The room wasn't massive by any... More

Stayed here in July in the middle of a heat wave. 99+ degrees F every day. I was so happy to have a hotel with AC that I could control myself! When I arrived, the AC was actually too cold and I had to set it to a more reasonable 25 C. Average amount of room noise from neighbors but... More

We stayed at Hotel Borromeo for three nights with our three children. Our room consisted of two spaces with a tiny shower room with toilet and a normal sized bathroom with a toilet. The beds were very comfortable, and the room clean. The breakfast on the roof terrace did the job too. Not super luxury but very functional, and great... More

This choice was purely based in their fantastic location near many monuments and churches, but I was pleasantly surprised with the fantastic service(from all 3 desk attendants). Room was on the small side, which is to be expected, but very nice with a good bathroom and a solid breakfast.

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Borromeo, it was in a good location near to the Colosseum and the rail Termini. It was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size and the staff were helpful advising us how to get around Rome safely.

Very nice hotel and very helpful and courteous front desk staff, in particular Mr Virgilio and Alessandro. They suggested all the best places to visit and all the do's and don'ts. Great breakfast, although the coffee was not hot enough! The hotel is close to the main tourist attractions, such as the Coliseum and only 15 minutes walk from the... More

I spent in this hotel for three days. Everything satisfies me, except attitude of the person on reception. He has been very unpleasant and rude. Later he tried to fix situation, by being nice, but it was so FAKE. Concerning the room, it was really nice and clean. Just one moment, why flooring made from stone, this is not good... More

We stayed in Rome for an extended weekend and were planning to go on day trips using trains and buses. Therefore we were looking for a hotel close to Termini and Hotel Borromeo fit that description, just a 5 min walk to get there. The staff was helpful right from the start and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are... More

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at Hotel Borromeo. The staff were very friendly, the hotel is convenient to reach most of the antiquities by foot and not too far from the train station. The breakfast was great and the neighborhood interesting. Would definitely stay here again.

My family, with an entourage of 15 members, stayed in Borromeo Hotel. It has a safe and convenient location, and behind Cavour Street, just minutes away by foot are trattorias with good food and reasonable prices. Exceptional services were provided by the concierge, particularly Gigi and Alessandro. They were warm, very accommodating to any request, and helpful in providing information... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
