Stayed here in January for a short honeymoon break with my husband. Great location, walking distance to everything. The hotel had a good breakfast which really set us up for the days sightseeing. The room was comfortable and clean. Only thing it lacked was British TV, even a few channels would have been nice. All in all it does what... More

We spent 1 night at this hotel and the location was awesome. We were warned that this area was unsafe at night but we didn't experience any problems at all. The staff was accommodating and the bed was very comfortable. Within walking distance to many attractions as well as great restaurants.

We stayed at Hotel Borromeo for three nights. It's great in the fact that it is close to the Colosseum, a short ten minute walk. The breakfast provided in the morning was okay, not great. The staff was very nice and the hotel is kept clean. My room had some mold in it, but not enough to be overly alarming.... More

A great hotel for location and service. As a family of 5 we requested a 5-bedded room and that is exactly what we got, a double room with 3 single beds squeezed in. As we were only using it as a base for our sight seeing trip we found it sufficient. The breakfast buffet in the morning was standard; scrambled... More

Our room was quiet and clean. We were a family of three. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good in that it wasn't far to walk to the Colosseum/Forum. You need to walk Rome anyway so this hotel wasn't too much to add to the daily trek. The breakfast was ample, there was also a hot breakfast... More

A good hotel with excellent service from the front desk. Had a family room with plenty of space for the 5 of us. Location is a major plus with most attractions, lots of restaurants and public transport easy walking distance. It is a little noisy from the street but you are in the middle of the city. Wifi included and... More

For a young couple, the room was perfect. The size was good enough for us. For those who are used to large room space, they might find it small, however for us it was perfect. It had all the necessary things. The shower room had all the necessities: sink, toilet, shower, bidet, hair drier, central heating to heat the towels,... More

The location of this hotel was great, the decor was cute and one desk clerk was amazingly helpful. However as another woman stated in her review there are bugs (bed bugs?) in this hotel. My daughter and son are covered in bites and miserable. My daughter is on two antihistamines and steroids her bites are so bad. Also the mattress... More

Stayed here during my families trip to Rome. Upon checkin we arrived early so we were able to store our bags. Check in time is at 2, but he said our room would be ready by 12 which was great after a long day of traveling from France. The lobby is nice, but generally smells of smoke. The desk agent... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
