First class hotel, rooms were excellent, maids were polite, walking distance to amenities, great hotel and worth it! 15mins away from Termini Station which is perfect. We found a great cafe Caffè Piave literally at the end of the road which also has outside seating. Highly recommend the hotel.

We had a very nice weekend break in Rome. We stayed in the Hotel Gambrinus for 4 nights. The hotel room was clean, and comfortable, although the shower room was quite small. There was a wide choice of breakfast available. We found the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned every day to a good standard. The hotel was just a few... More

We stayed here for 4 nights recently. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was in a separate building then the actual hotel but was right next door so not really an issue. Hotel was walkable to most major attractions. The furthest was the Vatican (about 3 miles). The hot water was... More

This was our first trip to Rome. This hotel is located in a nice section of Rome. We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was helpful but made one blunder. They told us that the public buses that travel near the hotel were #61 and #62. That was incorrect. We never figured out the buses and took the subway.... More

Would probably make a 3* rating just but definately not 4*. Staff variable on quality , some very helpful on the front desk others too busy outside on their mobile phones for 10 minutes as a queue formed at the deserted front desk. Lift was tiny , very slow and totally inadequate for the size of hotel , amazingly there... More

We were very pleased with our stay at the Gambrinus. Friendly staff and very clean and comfortable accommodation; although our room was not big it did have every convenience you are likely to need. It is in easy walking distance from the Termini and all the main attractions of the city. We would certainly stay there again.

Having been to Rome a half dozen times, this place is barely average. We were only staying 2 nights this time around so I looked on hotwire. Mistake--listed as 4 stars, really? Rooms are dated, miniscule, and frankly depressing. The breakfast was terrible and the lobby was so uncomfortable feeling (strange bar in the corner but no service). What does... More

we were quite happy with our stay, staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was functional and comfortable, we had a room at the back of the hotel so had a view of gardens which was fine for us. It was quite a way up near the area where the Embassy's are situated but once we knew where we were... More
