4 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

The Gambrinus is a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff, especially Roberta. Our luggage was delayed and she followed up with the airport for me, gave me directions to a shop that sells the basics! Breakfast was an amazing choice of continental and cooked breakfast, bacon, eggs and tomatoes,a lovely start to the day. The room floors are tiled... More

Stayed December 2014. Room was immaculate, well furnished with sat tv, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and safe all provided. En-suite shower cubicle was very small though and uncomfortable to use. Excellent breakfast and great location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gambrinus. The room was large and comfortable, with the only exception being a shower that was a bit of a pain due to the way it was laid out (the bathroom floor would flood with water). The hotel staff was very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast every day was also very good, and had... More

Stayed here overnight while my wife & I were en route to our cruise from Civitavecchia. It is rather remote from the centre of the city, but since that wasn't the reason for our stay it wasn't an issue. Even though our choices in the area weren't great we also found a nice restaurant nearby & had a good evening... More

We stayed there in Nov 2014 with two young grandchildren. We had rooms on the second floor at the back and they were the quietest rooms ever. The rooms were not spacious nor were they cramped. Beds were comfortable and everything worked like it should. Breakfast was wonderful with everything you could possibly want. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming.... More

I've read many saying this isn't a four star hotel - well it is but at the cheaper end. I booked a very cheap single room and was glad I'd not taken a cat... But everything you'd want was there including kettle and tea and coffee, ironing board, comfortable bed and clean. There is a safe, the rooms are secure,... More

Myself and my partner visited Rome very recently and we have to say this is a nice little hotel. Staff were very nice and helpful and checked into our room pretty quick. Room and hotel were clean at all times. Breakfast was nice also it was filling before you took off on your adventures. I would use this hotel again... More

The hotel is based about 20 minutes from Central Rome but is near to the bus and train terminal it is clean and comfortable the staff are all very friendly and the breakfast is good. The room was small but comfortable and adequate for short term stays. There are some nice restaurants and shops around the hotel area.

We booked this hotel through Priceline which claimed this was a four star hotel (has four stars on Trip Advisor too). It is definitely not 4 stars! We were extremely disappointed. The rooms are so tiny we didn't even have a place to put our luggage. It is not very clean. They don't even give you shampoo and conditioner, I... More
