Room smaller than expected, but decent amenities. Free breakfast was good, but the eggs tasted like nothing. The cappuccino machine was great. Hotel staff was mostly unfriendly, except for one. Ermal went out of his way to help with finding a particular church in Rome and a nice restaurant called Carlo Mentha, great food and price. Even though the hotel... More

We stayed here on a Jet2 city break as we had a decent price. If you are used to Holiday Inn type hotels, then it isn't for you. However, it is in a quiet area and the room we were in, at the back, was quieter than Cumbria! That is, until the guests next door arrive - like a lot... More

Hotel Gambrinus is a little bit out of the way. It is clearly in a more business section of the city rather than a tourist area. That being said, it's easy to get to the major sights -about a 25 minute walk to the Colosseum and the Forum, but a taxi ride to the Vatican. The hotel itself is clean... More

This hotel is situated within walking distance of Rome's major road transport links -Stazione Termini. We arrived early. The 2pm check in to your room is rigidly adhered to. Dario the reception manager on duty advised accordingly, and was helpful and efficient in offering the use of the hotel facilities and in recommending a nearby eatery. Our room (205) , is... More

I stayed here during August with my partner and it was fantastic. We were greeted on arrival by a very hospitable receptionist who provided us with a map of central Rome. The room was nice and clean. A little sign of wear around the shower plughole but nothing to cause a fuss over. Housekeeping made such a good job of... More

I am not surprised to read through the reviews and find out we were not the only people to be shuffled off to a different hotel because of "water problems" with the room. However, in our case, the front desk person did not even tell us that we were going to another hotel. He simply told us to follow the... More

This hotel was booked for us as part of a cruise package by our travel agency and was a nice surprise. Although our room was extremely small, it was very clean, modern, pretty and adequate for our needs over two nights. The provided breakfast was awesome and the hospitality by the front desk, and kitchen staff was great! Location was... More

We stayed there in September for 4 days. The location is pretty amazing, just 10 minutes walking distance to the main station and tourist area. Suitable for a long weekend stay. Rooms were clean so were the bathrooms too.

We stayed in Rome for the last 5 days of our honeymoon. Hotel was booked through a travel agency. The room was so small, even on our honeymoon it was too claustrophobic. The shower stall, if you can even call it that, barely fit a person in it (and we are typically sized people). The bathroom smelled of urine, even... More

Dear Mrs Keri, we would like to thank you for your very detailed review. We would like to understand as well why during your 5 nights stay we did not receive any kind of complaints regarding the cleaning service, the way to scramble the eggs or maybe the shift of the Receptionists. Even when one of our concierge suggested you... More
