We stayed in a contempory room (119) in a building 2 doors down from the hotel. The room was nice with hot water throughout the day. Was 15-20 minute walk to all sights - Piazza Venezia, Villa Borgehese, Spanish Steps. Nice restaurant opposite with good pizzas. WIFI was great! Breakfast was basic! Not great by any standards - but it... More

About 5 minutes walk from the Termini, and 10 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps. There are quite a few nice restaurants nearby this hotel that were very reasonable in price. The hotel itself is good value for money and is exactly what you need for a cheap stay in Rome.

My partner and i stayed at the hotel for 3 nights whilst on a trip to Rome. On arrival we was greeted by a friendly member of staff who told us our room wasn't ready yet and told us to come back in an hour our bags was taken off us to save us from carrying them around and we... More

We were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff and given some advice on how best to spend our first evening in Rome and then shown to our room quickly and efficiently . The room was small but had everything that you need, very nice and clean. Air conditioning great and easily controlled. Breakfast - as long as you don't require... More

Greeted by Davide with high standards and service. Rooms are small but cozy and clean. Bathroom appear to have been recently renovated. The breakfast was of excellent ingredients and staff was eager to assist. Davide was not only the front counter but also the concierge, the local restaurants advisor which were of a family orientated atmosphere and of reasonable pricing.... More

Very nice and friendly accomodations. You cannot beat the breakfasts. Ruel even gave us the recipe for the excellent pear dish. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. The shower was small but workable for us. Heavier people might not have been able to use it. The only channel in English was bbcw but we didn't go there too watch... More

The question - "Should I stay here?" The answer? - Yes This boutique-style hotel is neat, the rooms spotless, and the staff courteous; like a Premier Inn. The beds are soft, the food edible and the WIFI temperamental. As I said, just like a Premier Inn. There is nothing wrong with Gambrinus, it is a lovely, perfectly accommodating hotel in... More

We stayed in Hotel Gambrinus Roma for three nights. It is pretty close to all the attractions (Colosseum, Forum, Vatican), which meant we could walk everywhere and didn't have to use public transport at all. Which was great given the nice weather. It is close to the station so easy to get to and from the airport. There is also... More

We've booked 4 night stay in Rome through British Airways holidays and picked this hotel because of the good reviews and the proximity of the Roma Termini and walking distance to other attractions. It's advertised as 4* but it's not.. However there is nothing wrong with the hotel for the price offered. The rooms are small but reasonably clean, the... More

steer clear of the tourist trap eateries.....walk two streets away from the trevi/Spanish steps/Vatican etc and half the prices.....food was very very good around £35-40 for 3 course with wine for two (evening meal)..you can pick up street snacks anyware for a few pounds....loved rome its different to anywhere else I have ever been
