When we booked this we were under the impression that we booked hotel Giubileo, due to a mistake of the traveling agency. Arriving at Gaudi Guest House was a very umpleasant surprise. Having to climb to the 5th floor (in a building with high ceilings) everyday was a complete nightmare, scala santa was easy compared to this. The room was... More

1 Night stay The room and the beds was great to sleep on but the bathroom was not up to a good standard. The shower is very old and leaked a lot. The bathroom was claustrophobic and dirty and smelly. The A/C stopped working in the middle of the night for no reason but this is nothing what happend at... More

It was our first stay in Rome and we found the location to be excellent! Very close to the metro and Termini train station. Wonderful view over Santa Maggiore. Nice clean room with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The shower was always hot and had good water pressure. Wifi is free and worked all the time. The staff... More

I would advise anyone to stay away from this place. First of all, we were five floors up with no lift! The rooms are in some kind of weird, depressing apartment block that looks partly like a hostel and partly like a scene from a horror film! The room is far below par, very dirty (my pillow was yellow underneath... More

A charming guest house in an ideal location 5 minutes from termini. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast included in the price. The room was spotless and towels were changed every day. TV in room and free wireless. Only slight fault was that it could have been a tad warmer as the tiled floor was cold. However we... More

It's an ok hotel. Sadly, I booked a non refundable deal, and noticed the second after that I had booked for one to many nights. Wrote an e-mail, and they confirmed that they would change the date. But no money back. So, beware, with this hotel you can't make any mistakes.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
