Amazing reception. The rooms are all amazing and the bathrooms are modern and super clean. The outdoor area is perfect for chilling out after a day of walking around Rome ! Will definitely come again.

We enjoyed staying at the Monteverde for 5 nights. In our group of 9 total were 2 young teens and a 10 year old, who made full use of foosball and table tennis in the garden, not to mention the wifi, cookies, and comfy lounging in the common room. Monteverde in a nice neighborhood with restaurants, shops, and transit nearby.... More

Our family had the pleasure of staying at the Guesthouse last month and used all four bedrooms. Andrea was wonderful. He supplied juices, biscuits, milk, cereals and coffee for the stay, and even arranged transportation from the airport. The rooms were spotless and the common living room was comfortable. There was not a safe for valuables, but there was a... More

You'll have to contend with buses or taxis to get anywhere, but it's heaven to come back to this quiet, pleasant place after a day of sight-seeing. The garden is beautiful, everything was immaculate and comfy, and Andrea is marvelous. For a group of 9 (3 generations), we took over all 4 bedrooms and baths and had a great time,... More

Two families totaling 9 people rented Monteverde house for three days. Absolutely wonderful experience. Andrea did everything from arranging drivers from the airport to dinner reservations. House was clean and comfortable and well stocked with essentials...the garden/patio is very nice as well. I highly recommend taking full advantage of Andrea's map with public transport stops and suggested local places to... More

This really was the perfect choice. Plenty of space for 9 ladies to sleep, relax, wash! All amenities in a stylish airy apartment on a quiet beautiful neighbourhood. The garden was perfect for us to relax in. Thank you Andrea for your help with everything!

9 of us chose the Monteverde for our annual girls breakaway and had a wonderful time. We were greeted by Andrea, who showed us around the place and gave us a wealth of information about the transport and local amenities. The outside space is a real bonus. Lovely to come back to and relax after a bustling day. The 4... More

We rented this guesthouse for 4 days and it had everything we needed and more. The host made time to tell and show us everything we wanted to know about the place and how to get around when we first arrived. A lot of thought has gone into creating a welcoming and stylish place to stay, while providing a home... More

We rented Monteverde Guest House as a party of six, two couples and two singles in March, 2015. It was the perfect base from which to explore Rome. The house is located in the residential area of Monteverde, out of the crazy tourist section of Rome but still walking distance (downhill going and uphill coming back) to Vatican City, Trastevere,... We stayed at the Monteverde Guesthouse for 10 days in March. There was a group of 6 family/friends. The house would be perfect for up to 4 couples. We rented the entire house and we were more than happy with our choice. I spent two months looking for places to rent. Looking at hundreds of houses, reading all the reviews... More

Staying in Monteverde

Neighborhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
