The location of this apartment is fantastic location- walking distance to pretty much anywhere you would like to go but also right next to the train if you prefer to catch public transport. Marco was extremely welcoming, providing us with detailed explanations of where to go and what to see. The room was fairly basic but everything you need to... More

My husband and I stayed at Marco's guesthouse at the end of May for two nights. The room had everything we needed--large room with a comfortable bed overlooking a quiet courtyard. Very clean. The shared bathroom and kitchen worked out well--we hardly even saw the other guests! The proximity to the train station was fantastic and we were able to... More

The guesthouse is simply perfect: the rooms are very clean and wide; the bathroom clean and provided with a comfortable shower; the kitchen has anything you would need. Marco, the owner of the guesthouse, is really nice and friendly and will do everything to make your staying as good as possible. Breakfast is included and it is had in the... More

Super Marco! Our host was great with us, very welcoming, very helpful, and gave us some useful informations about the city. The room was consistent with our expectations, clean, quiet and well located, and a good breakfast in Fondi bar been perfect. Big thank you to Marco, I highly recommend, i would return probably.

Our flight got delayed and could reach only by 12.00 am . Since we din't have battery in our phones , we could inform Marco about the delays . But later we found out that he had tried to contact us in every way possible to check on us . He was really helpful and indeed a great host .... More

This guesthouse is set up in a lovely building located right near Termini train station. If you take the Terravision shuttle bus from either airport it drops you off at Via Milazzo and you simply walk one block down. The host Marco greeted us and provided us with maps and free breakfast coupons at his family run cafe on the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights as part of our 7 weeks of backpacking in Italy. Marco was very friendly, helpful and gave us some recommendations for Rome and spent time chatting with us about our trip through Italy. The B&B extremely close to the train station (less than 5 minutes walk - don't let GoogleMaps fool... More

Stayed here on my trip to Rome a few months ago and it was amazing. When we arrived we couldn't find the place and when we found it, it didn't have a sign or anything. Make sure you email Marco the owner before you arrive so he can meet you at the front door. Apart from the miscommunication at the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
