Stayed here for 2 nights the weekend of the Rome Marathon and the Wales 6 Nations rugby match. Located within a 5 minute walk of the Colosseum and excellent transport links. As we checked in after 8pm we had to make a call to Ilaria to inform her that we were leaving the Airport. Check in was smooth and the... More

I wouldn't know where to start with this lovely, clean, and fully equipped guest house. One thing is for sure: for each consecutive visit in Rome, I'll be looking to book this place first. It is situated 3-4 mins walk from the Colosseum and is surrounded with restaurants of the exquisite local cuisine. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated,... More

Very nice hotel, very well placed in the touristical area, however not close to the busy places next to the Colosseo. Very good service, even had study materials and a map to guide ourselves, the lady from the reception also gave us advice. Price vs quality - satisfactory.

we had a very good time in Rome and Maison Colosseo was definetely a good choice. The sourrounding area is very nice and quiet. Very good restaurants there for dinner. The staff of the Maison has helped us a lot in deciding where to go during our short stay. Thanks!

We went to Rome in Dec 2014 and stayed here for 2 nights. It is a very well located Guest house with a very warm and welcoming host Ilaria. We chose the outer room - Giunone. Due to the proximity to the Colosseum (hardly 5 mins walk!) and the safe residential area, do not expect any spectacular views. There are... More

The accommodation was easy to find however, we did have our Taxi driver's help! We were welcomed on our arrival and provided with a set of keys to the guest house. The staff were not there all the time so they left their telephone number incase we had any queries at any time. Whilst staying there we met 3 members... More

Ilana was very helpful. The room was clean, roomy, nice bathroom and nice amenities like free WiFi, light breakfast biscuits and juices left in room, nespresso machine and safe. Several keys were needed for three other doors at night before getting to your own room door. The location was great, walking to the Colosseum, Forum and public transportation was terrific.... More

Wonderful clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable. The walls were thin, but we had earplugs so slept just fine. 5 minute walk to the colosseum metro stop, easy to get around anywhere from this hotel.

I stayed here at the beginning of July. It is easy to get to from the metro stop and is right near the colosseum. There are several supermarkets near by and some great cheap restaurants, as it's just off the touristy bit. My room was lovely, it was clean, comfortable and big. Lana was really nice and helped me with... More

Had a great stay! Room was great, complete with useful amenities: safe, nespresso, water cooker. Very clean, particularly the bathroom, which was well kept and had a roomy shower. Comfortable bed. Location is excellent, very close to the Colosseum with metro line B, reasonably close to line A too. It's not on a busy street, so we weren't bothered by... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
