We stayed at the GHT June 25-28 and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located near (NOT WALKING DISTANCE) the Vatican in a quiet residential area. The local commuter train is right around the corner with trains every 15 minutes to a Metro station that you can take anywhere you want to go, Try and avoid rush hours beacuse the... more

We booked the hotel based on a package they offered in early 2009. We thought the staff was friendly, quite helpful, and very punctual. The service in the restaurant was excellent. Our room was nice-no view but we had not expected a view. We spent most of our time touring the wonderful city. We would stay there again. more

Grand Hotel Tiberio was the worst part of our trip! The staff was rude and barely able to conceal their disdain. The room was definitely NOT a 4 star by any means, and whenever we made a request- it was ignored. I can only assume that they don't like north American guests. It was definitely NOT the Italy that I... more

The price was, on face value, very competitive for a 4 start hotel, however, after one night we realised why. Firstly, the promised view did not exist (from any room, according to reception). We complained and were told by the night receptionist that this was only a 'request' even though we had papers to prove the description. He was totally... more

Next to a mainline station, but infrequent service out of hours. Had to walk twice, from nearest Metro 15mins away. Only views are across and into adjacent residential flats. Carpet in our room looked tired. Public areas and facilities are excellent. Breakfast also fab - as much as you can eat. Front desk staff seemed to miss the customer service... more

We have stayed for three nights me, my husband and one couple (friends) and I would like to say that was not bad for the purpose we want. Rome is so wonderful, romantic and a lot of places to see so we went to our room only for sleep and for breakfast (which was great). We have arranged before to... more

I was breezing through Rome on my way to wedding in Sicily. Decided to stay here for two reasons: (1) was traveling alone (meeting my husband in Sicily) and didn't want to deal with noise/traffic of central Rome and (2) because I was determined to finally see the Sistine Chapel (after more than 5 visits to Rome). In the past,... more

Excellent hotel, Bad location. Great rooms. Very large. Good variety at Breakfast. Wonderful service. BAD BAD BAD location. It was so far from everything. It is on the far side of Vatican City. Nothing is really in walking distance and cabs out that far were outraegous!! more

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. Rooms were clean and in good working order. The breakfast buffet was great and the coffee was terrific. The staff were all very helpful and the hotel allowed us the use of their wheelchair for my Mother while we were in Rome. There is no way my mother would have been able to... more

After spending one and a half weeks traveling thru Europe...this hotel was a nice place to land at for the last days in our trip. The hotel is away from the center of Rome but it is 10 min away from the Vatican City. The room was quite large for it being a European room....It was quite noisy but it... more
