We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and did not have any issues with bad smells as mentioned in previous comments, in fact the hotel smelt very nice every time we entered the premisses. Our room was slightly small but very nice and very quiet, we had an inward facing room on the 3rd floor. The staff were polite and... More

We are a second customer who had a room that smelt like sewage over the new year period. We stayed 3 nights. On the 1st night, we made a complaint to management about a sewage smell. They inspected the room and said there was no smell. We decided to move hotels. New hotel has no sewage smell. I have just... More

I was in Rome for ten days by myself. This hotel was part of a deal that came up and I was extremely happy with my stay! The room was inviting and comfortable, although a little dark of natural light, but plenty of interior lighting. I was happy to be on the backside of the hotel as it was very... More

While I can understand this is an older hotel, I could not get past the fact that our room smelled like sewage. We are not ones to complain and ask to change rooms so we bought a reed diffuser in the lobby for 35 Euro, talk about highway robbery. It helped to make the room tolerable but after being out... Very stylish hotel with fine furnishings. Our room was comfortable although small, typical of much of the european sizing. We had a lovely comfortable bed. There is free WiFi in the room. A good breakfast, plus there is a nice cafe/bar next door attached to the hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel, the staff is excellent and went out of their way to help us a number of times. The hotel is quite nice, charming though a bit dated (what I would expect when visiting an old city). We didn't make it to breakfast but the staff recommended some great & affordable restaurants to... More

This would be a clean, charming Italian hotel in a interesting area of Rome. Unfortunately the reception I received was Anything but charming. I had my phone stolen at the airport and was meeting a friend who had her own woes with too many connecting flights after plane mechanical problems. I took a cab to theVeneto Palace. The room had... I guess I was expecting something a little nicer, but this hotel fell short. I was aware that this was an old building, but the hotel looks aged as well. I was on the 6th floor and the ceiling was slanted, so my teenage daughter and I kept hitting our heads on walls, celiings and the tv, it was quite... More

We booked in for one extra night at this hotel as it was the starting hotel for our tour. We had a large room but I believe that this was not the case for all members on the tour who arrived the following day. Our room had no bath but a very fancy shower with jets which all worked. the... More

Quite a useful location and taken upmarket since we last went there many years ago. It is expensive for what it is and reception isn't great but when in Rome that's what you expect. Breakfast was no better than OK but room was clean.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
