We have just returned from our 5 day stay in the Veneto Palace hotel. We booked it as a secret hotel through Lastminute.com and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a brilliant location, very close (5 minute walk) to the Spanish steps, as it is not on top of the attractions it benefits from being a bit quieter.... More

My husband and I travel for pleasure at least once a year. This time, our travel agent booked me in Veneto Palace, while my husband went on to Sicily. I stayed there two nights. My friends stayed there also. This is a wonderful place. It is very centrally located, clean, beautiful, and the staff is incredible. Most hotels in Europe... More

We stayed here for 4 nights it claims to have such a good location I disagree if I was to go again I would stay more central to the city center. The hotel was ok however whenever asking the older/bald receptionist a question I felt I was an inconvenience...Rome is fabulous! If I returned I wouldn't return back to this... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in February 2014. The room was clean and the staff was fine, breakfast was decent, we had no complaints about the hotel, the only disadvantage is the location. We tried to see as much of Rome as we could in 3 days, and while reviewers say this is close to the... More

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and did not have any issues with bad smells as mentioned in previous comments, in fact the hotel smelt very nice every time we entered the premisses. Our room was slightly small but very nice and very quiet, we had an inward facing room on the 3rd floor. The staff were polite and... More

We are a second customer who had a room that smelt like sewage over the new year period. We stayed 3 nights. On the 1st night, we made a complaint to management about a sewage smell. They inspected the room and said there was no smell. We decided to move hotels. New hotel has no sewage smell. I have just... More

I was in Rome for ten days by myself. This hotel was part of a deal that came up and I was extremely happy with my stay! The room was inviting and comfortable, although a little dark of natural light, but plenty of interior lighting. I was happy to be on the backside of the hotel as it was very... More

While I can understand this is an older hotel, I could not get past the fact that our room smelled like sewage. We are not ones to complain and ask to change rooms so we bought a reed diffuser in the lobby for 35 Euro, talk about highway robbery. It helped to make the room tolerable but after being out... Very stylish hotel with fine furnishings. Our room was comfortable although small, typical of much of the european sizing. We had a lovely comfortable bed. There is free WiFi in the room. A good breakfast, plus there is a nice cafe/bar next door attached to the hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel, the staff is excellent and went out of their way to help us a number of times. The hotel is quite nice, charming though a bit dated (what I would expect when visiting an old city). We didn't make it to breakfast but the staff recommended some great & affordable restaurants to... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
