I reserved a hotel near Termini on purpose, as I was travelling with an old relative and arriving to the city by train. We also rented a car from one of the offices at Termini later on, so it was convenient to have the hotel close by. We were positively impressed by the hotel, as despite the busy location it... More

We stayed at the Hotel Gioberti for 3 nights as part of a tour around Italy. The hotel is situated 50m from Termini Station so easy to get around with a Metro card to all of the city's wonderful attractions. The hotel reception is very nice and I found the staff very friendly. The rooms were bigger than other hotels... More

The hotel itself is quite nice. The building seemed well kept and the rooms were clean and tidy. Everything was in working order and it was much larger than some of the other rooms we had stayed in throughout Italy. We had a view which overlooked the side street. No balcony but interesting to watch the way the Italians drive... More

Room size average but entry to hotel was like Ghetto. Staff uncourteous rude some times passing remarks. Breakfast was just ok.No toast or even toaster .Poor selection of fruits by en large for a Vagen like us it was not at all filling. Only good part was its location just 50 meters from Roma Termini station.Wifi was charged at very... More

The Gioberti hotel is rated 4 stars and I personnally think it should be rated more like a 3 stars although the service was great, staff was very polite, helpful and informed. I'm not saying it was a three stars hotel in a negative way, I only mean it was not a luxurious hotel but it was an adequate hotel... More

This is an adequate hotel which is superbly located next to the main bus and train stations. Problem with this is that the area is seedy and I didn't feel 100% safe during the evening walking around. Rooms are okay but no tea or coffee making facilities. Beds are rock hard and showers are small although always hot water. Would... More

The hotel is rated with 4 stars and although I'm not sure who or how that rating was assigned, I know this dump should be rated below a hostel. It was all smiles and greetings when my group of 15 tired travelers arrived. The next morning -- after spending the night on what can only be euphemistically referred to as... More

This was an adequate hotel. The location is amazing, 3/4 block from the Termini Rome train station, it is also the terminus of many City-wide bus lines and subway lines. the Wi-Fi in the hotel worked poorly with a weak signal. The beds were like sleeping on boards. The staff was very helpful and informed. The breakfast every morning was... More

Excellent location. Near the Termini train station. The room is very nice, comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff is 100%! Adorable! Impeccable cleanliness. Although the building is old, the room is renovated and comfortable, but there are rooms that still need improvement. At breakfast, there was only fresh fruit is the most delicious. The good thing is able to leave... More

We flew into Rome and spent 15 days driving all over Europe and came back to Rome the night before going back to the US. A friend recommended Hotel Gioberti because it is close to a train station. The hotel looks very modern and the rooms were spacious and clean nice beds and free WiFi. Its close to many eateries... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
