This hotel only has its location to boast about. The front-desk staff are rude and do nothing to help the clientele. The mattress is so hard that I didn't think there was one. The television in our room never worked properly. We fixed it ourselves because the technician was never available. Then a day before we checked out the television... More

Hotel Gioberti is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were beautiful and the hotel is very clean and we were looked after very well. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were so helpful, giving directions, insights into the city and how to get around, to good places to eat that you would... More

Its Centrally Located and every cuisine is within 100 meters of the Hotel. Easy to catch any bus or train as its 60 meters from Termini Station, the Heart that Connects Rome in every way. Would strongly suggest you book the Suite or Deluxe Room and enjoy the comfortable Stay. The Breakfast spread is good and wholesome. The entrance lobby... More

I tried four 4* hotel during 7 nights in Italy and Gioberti was the best. Everything is somewhat old, but well functioning. Location and staff are great. Room for 2+child was huge. Everything necessary, including refrigerator is in a room. Our room was the last in the corridor, so the only problem was WiFi, which had a connection only closer... More

This hotel is very close to Termini Train station that's why it is very accessible. There are restaurants and shopping area nearby. The room was really spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was great. Staffs were warm, respectful and helpful. The only thing I didn't like in this hotel was the wifi connection, it was... More

We found this hotel late in the evening when we needed a hotel for one night, near the main train station in Rome. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful to us as we had no luggage, and needed to use a phone and internet. The room was very clean and comfortable, however, the free internet was terrible.... More

I stayed here after I booked a 3 star hotel... It was like a dungeon. Hotel gioberti was really good and warm. I like the room, every day cleaning, nice breakfast, spacious room. Two.big elevator and a huge marble staircase. Was really good. Thanks for your hospitality.

After staying at the Gioberti Hotel, it really made me realize how much I appreciate customer service. There was a mistake made by a third party site regarding our stay and instead of helping with situation, the staff was extremely rude, hostile, and unaccommodating. After figuring things out and paying a lot more money than anticipated, we made our way... More

I was here from September the 8 through the 13th. The First part of my stay was with a group and last two days with family members. At first, even before I left the U S, I was worried about some of the bad reviews due to the "bad" area and location" But once we arrived, I was very relieved... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
