We were there with my wife in May 2015, and all I can remember is that hotel is located in a very good position, next to Termini station and 15 min away from Colosseum on foot. Obviously, since the biggest train station in Rome next to hotel, you will see lots of people around, traffic, homeless etc. in short words... More

Centrally located! Well groomed, great, friendly concierge willing to help! The buffet breakfast was outstanding, hot and cold breakfast options and meats, pastries, coffee, fruit and muesli! Central location great for hop on, hop off bus tour and 20 minute walk to colleseum!

If you need to be close to the train, then it's tough to get much closer. Every time I walked out of the hotel, I thought "I'm in an episode of CSI: Rome." Street vendors, prostitutes and trash everywhere. The staff was very helpful; the beds are like rocks; plenty of hot water. I had one of the larger rooms,... More

We stayed here because it was part of the package we bought for travel throughout Italy. It is only about 3 minutes from the train station so a great location. Breakfast was included and it was really good with great service staff. Also note that the front desk staff were also very helpful. Rooms are tiny, old and worn and... More

This hotel has the best location in Rome for travelers coming by train,it is no more than 2 minutes by foot from the Roma Termini, and if you are going to the airport by bus (recommended) the stop is right on the corner,25 meters away. We booked this hotel using Qantas frequent flyer points and were not disappointed at all.The... More

Best things about this hotel; superb location 2 mins from the Central Termini station and very very clean. Our room was modernised and comfortable, but not too big, and the bathroom was fine. The shower would be a tight squeeze for a large person but lots of hot water. Bring your own shampoo or ask the very friendly room cleaning... More

This is not the best hotel in Rome, matter of fact. But its localization is the best possible. 2 minutes walking from Termini station, that can take you everywhere in Rome and from Rome. The rooms are really decent, large, nice bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff. The beds and the linen are a downside since they don't seem to be... More

A group of 5 with 4 rooms was there for 3 nights are pre-cruise stay in Rome. The Hotel is very conveniently located on a busy central street with vendor, traffic and noise. The Central Termini Train station is across the street and buses from airport are on the next corner or around the other side of central station. With... More

We have just had four nights in this hotel. We were travelling with a large group and on check in there were a few problems, rooms not ready, wrong type of room allocated Tec. When we eventually got our room it left a lot to be desired, it was so tiny you could not pass one another in it and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
