Giardino Segreto is within sight of the Vatican walls and lies behind an anonymous door on via vespianso. We were a party of 4 and had booked two rooms for 3 nights at the end of October, once inside you cannot fail to be impressed by the standard of the accommodation. Right from the decoration of the rooms, the quality... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and its a perfect place to stop when visiting Rome. There are only four bedrooms so the ambience was friendly and relaxed. Natasha was an excellent hostess, and gave us some good tips on where to eat at night. Having traipsed around Rome all day we were very pleased to discover good, reasonably priced... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Giardino Segreto for 4 days and we loved it!! Our room was small, but clean and had all you need - a comfortable bed, TV (although we didn't even need it), a big bathroom. The hostess Natasha was extremely nice. She made the whole process of checking in on arrival and checking out very... More

Me and my girlfriend had the pleasure of staying in il Giardino Segreto for four days! We absolutely loved the place from day one! Natasha the hostess greeted us when we entered and showed us to out room(il Colombo) which was just excellent! The room was beautifully decorated, with a big bed, a/c and a good sized bathroom with bath.... More

Lovely little oasis in the heart of Rome. Short walk to the Vatican, so when you are done with your tour and being packed into the Vatican Museum rooms like cattle cars, you can retreat to this sweet sanctuary within minutes. The breakfast room is very cute, the caretaker was lovely and offered help even when we didn't know we... More

This is an excellent B&B in the heart of Rome offering the most comfortable accommodation together with the warmest welcome. Maria Gracia, the owner, was just so obliging; she ensured our stay was truly enjoyable. The B&B is 5 minutes walk from the Vatican, with shops and metro close by, and across the road from two very good restaurants. A great... More

We have just returned from a short break in Rome and have had a fabulous stay in this beautiful accommodation. It's is very well presented and our hosts attention to detail made it all the more special. There are several good bars and restaurants within the vicinity, which were welcoming and full of locals. It is in a prime location... More

Great small place, different than most of the hotels I've ever stayed. Good location very close to the Vatican and walking distance from the city center; lots and shops and restaurants near-by, and also Metro station around the corner. Excellent Italian breakfast...espresso, prosciutto, orange juice, Nutella and so on, and you can enjoy it on the terrace. Also, coffee and... More

We are just back from 5 wonderful days in this little gem of a B & B right beside the Vatican. Our hostess, Maria Gracia was ever so helpful with information about sites and the metro etc. She arrange breakfast for us the morning we arrived, which was totally unexpected but very welcome. The rooms were beautiful, spotlessly clean and... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
