We've just returned from here after 4 nights. I must say I was impressed by the hotel website and photos. It looks so elegant. However, remember the saying about silk purses and sows' ears? It's fitting. Firstly, this hotel uses the photos for it's somewhat more grand sister (Hotel Romantica) to advertise its rooms. When you arrive you are taken... More

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights early October 2013. It's located in an upscale section of Rome, very close the the American Embassy. (While we were there, the USA government had its 'shutdown' and there were all of a sudden guards around the embassy.) This hotel is an off-shoot of the Romanico Palace hotel - and is located... We booked our long weekend at this property, based on the description and photographs that were shown on the Residenza Roma Nobile website. unfortunately, the photos were distinctly misleading for the following reasons: 1. The bedrooms were not as grand as they were made out to be. Our bedrooms whilst comfortable, were relatively plain in comparison to the images shown.... More

The Residenza Luxury is an annexe of the Romanico Palace Hotel, which is the main hotel. It can be confusing because you have to check in at the main hotel. Signage to the Residenza Luxury is not visible from the street, but it is good to know that if you see the blue double doors next to the café on... More

We stayed in July 2013. The Residenza Luxury building is located right next to Romanico Palace. Its an old building with old and small lift. The rooms are decorated in vintage style. The room had no good sound insulation and speech sounds from the next room. Also sounded something crinkling from the ceiling of the room but thats because the building is... I book this hotel in "Best offerts" and I receive a confirmation after two minutes. The next day I saw e-mail with reccomended to send my card number again. I use VISA, and never had some problems. (I just come back from a trip in two EU coutries and I pay with VISA). OK, I send that data.... and few... More

A very very nice room, great value for the price, classical style. Neat and tidy. Only drawback is that the "residence" is in an adjacent building to the hotel itself, so for checking in and out, breakfast you need to get downstairs, and then to the other building, but i think it is worth it. 10 min walk from the... + The hotel is centrally located at one of the most expensive hotel roads in rome. The rooms are lavishly decorated and while the breakfast you have a great view over the city. - The hotel does not have a own reception, which was very confusing. Fortunately, I was informed in advance and therefore it was clear that we had... More

Also called Romanico hotel. The hotel is nicely decorated and new. The rooms are very clean and good size. They all have airconditioning. Location is great. Negative: Not enough closet space. No free Internet It is noisy if you open the window

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
