My family and I have just returned from a 7 week trip round France, Monaco, Italy and London, staying in some amazing hotels. Some stand out as being truly exceptional, whilst other leave room for improvement. The First Hotel in Rome is wonderful, this presents itself as an Art hotel and lives up to it with some interesting pieces of... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in at the end of July. We decided on this hotel after reading all the reviews on here and we were definitely not disappointed. We were upgraded to the jacuzzi suite and it was absolutely amazing! We didn't even feel like we were in Rome. The staff were all very helpful. Location is perfect.... More

If you read my other reviews you know I am not a fan of Italy... Having been born their and lived there for a great deal of my life I know it's not the paradise that everyone believes it is. Having checked out of another hotel for horrible service my assistant was able to secure us rooms at this hotel.... More

Recently stayed here with my family. Hotel is a little modern oasis in the centre of Rome. Modern rooms, comfortable beds, luxurious bed linen, beautiful marble bathrooms , the best bathroom amenities, nespresso machine in rooms. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and professional and very pleasant. The hotel itself is in great location, 5 min walk to Spanish steps... More

Stayed at First Luxury Art hotel recently with my husband a some friends for my husband's 40th birthday. Hotel was very nicely decorated and rooms were comfortable. Location was pretty good close to the Piazza del Popolo and 10 mins walk to the Spanish steps and Trevino fountain. When we mentioned in passing it was my husband's birthday they left... More

We booked this lovely hotel 4 months in advance for a family weekend in Rome. The staff was really nice, the hotel has few rooms, but there is always someone at the front desk to help you or give you advice. Trivia: The hotel used to be an old persons home for Jewish residence of Rome. The rooms are small... More

This hotel is as close to perfect as I have ever experienced. The location is wonderful, the building is lovely, the room was very attractive and comfortable. The staff is completely committed to exceptional service. And my dinner in the restaurant was beyond compare; outstanding.

We stayed for five nights last week for our first visit to Rome. First the hotel - we had a suite on the 5th floor. It was very nicely appointed; the bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was pretty, but small (by American standards!). In all, the room was fine. But the highlight of the hotel is the staff and... My wife and I spent four nights at this classy and friendly hotel. Our room was outstanding and very comfortable. It was basically a 2 bedroom suite with a spacious living area in the center and a bedroom on each side of the living area. Beds were very comfortable and our view was great. The staff could not have been... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
