This hotel is everything the name suggests: beautiful, luxurious and artistically decorated. The staff are welcoming and friendly, attentive but not over-the-top. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable, breakfast is tasty and there is a nice bar. The location is also great; within walking distance of most of the main sites, but also quiet at night time. There are Lots... More

This is one of the best & luxurious hotel we would highly recommend to stay in when you travel to Rome. Excellent location where you can reach the tourist spots on foot very easily e.g. Spanish Steps,Trevi fountain, Piazza del Popolo. To visit some places further away from the heart of Rome, you can just take approx 10 minutes walk... More

I recently spent a long weekend in Rome and stayed at The First Luxury Art Hotel. It was a very good choice. The staff was always very friendly and informative and my room was large and very comfortable. Enjoyed a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival.

Only a short stay unfortunately but it was fabulous. Room beautiful ,staff very helpful and breakfast was a stunning array of savoury and sweet dishes. A terrace on the roof provided an excellent view across Rome and a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a wine or two! Lovely

As boutique hotels go, The First maintains a high standard in all areas from the cleanliness of the public areas to the comfort of the rooms. Some hotels call themselves "boutique" simply on the basis of being small and non-uniform in décor or layout. The First rises above the standard of those by virtue of the consistent quality of service,... More

We arrived at The First to a very warm welcome and a fountain of knowledge provided by Jubair to equip us with the info we needed for a successful stay in Rome. Nothing was too much trouble. From arranging our chauffeured pick-up from the airport, a glass of Prosecco on arrival and even umbrellas readily available at reception for our... More

We just came back from Rome where we stayed 1 week in this marvelous boutique art hotel. Everything was well organised at the highest standarts. E-mail questions after booking were answered promptly and professionally, the airport pick-up and back were perfectly on time (although our flight was delayed). Arriving at the hotel, the receptionists stood up from their desks and... More

Loved this hotel and especially the staff, we stayed for 2 nights and front the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by the friendliest and courteous staff and not to mention a lovely glass of prosecco. The room was immaculate and made out to a very high standard with wonderful individual pieces of art, very spacious and... More

Just returned from Rome after a 3 night stay and the hotel is fantastic. The check in experience is great and was offered a complimentary drink on arrival. The staff are very welcoming and we were unexpectedly provided with an upgrade as well. The decor is very stylish and the hotel bed was so comfy that I struggled to get... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2015. Even arriving late at night we were greeted and given a glass of Prosecco and the warmest of welcomes. Nothing was too much trouble - but actually we didn't really need to ask for anything as it was just perfect. The staff were impeccable but not intrusive at all. The hotel... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
