Me and my husband we spent 2 nights in this B&B. It is actually a flat with several bedrooms (I think 3-4), a kitchen and a bathroom for bedrooms without their proper bath. Whole apartment is non-smoking, so you have to go down 3 floors if you want to smoke (the elevator didn't work). The apartment is on the 3rd... More

Very good location not too far from Termini station. Have to say that when we eventually found it - it's in a large apartment block on the 3rd floor and not clearly marked from the outside - we pushed the intercom and entered the open hallway, looked at each other to say "have we made a mistake?". Taking the lift... More

The B&B is quite near the Rome Termini station although at first I spent some time finding it when I arrived in the evening. It only takes 15 minutes to walk to Colosseum and there is a metro station near the hotel. The host is nice and told us how to get the main tourist attractions. Since the host is... More

The place is actually a big apartment with rooms. Our room was with private toilets, it was clean and neat. All the equipment seems new. Tha bad was very comfortable. There was a little fridge for use in the hall. The area is the termini station area... 7 min walking. For whom is coming for the first time (mine was... More

Having never been to Rome before, the hotel was a bit difficult to find. There is a building right next to it that has the same address so watch out for that. The host, Mario, is very nice and provides you with a map highlighting some of the must see places around Rome. The room itself was very simple, but... More

We stayed for two weeks and we liked the hostel really much. Good location, the staff was very very kind and the price reasonable. The breakfast is an "Italian breakfast" and we didn't expect more. The room was really clean and tidy. It wasn't too hot and the bed was comfortable. The hostel was quiet and we never heard much... More

Great location, clean rooms, great helpfully staff and very reasonable prices. Exactly what I'm looking for in Rome. You have to share the bathroom but there are 2 which were cleaned daily so this was never an issue for us. Wi fi worked well, hotel was reasonably quiet. Study the location well as it can be a bit tricky to... More

The price was 20€ more than the maximum in the official prices (ok, it's new year eve). The room is reasonable clean with a quite cheap bed. Toilets are ok, we didn't hear our neighbors much. The breadfast is really tiny, the give you a ticket to go to a caffe and you have a coffe and a pastry... quite... More

Pros: very good location (on the one hand it's near Stazione Termini and on the other if you're up for discovering Rome on foot everything is within a walking distance) quite easy to find, despite what I read on other forums (and the owner himself offered to wait for me at Termini) friendlystaff clean Cons: small, very small room poor... I stayed 2 nights. Knowing it was difficult to find, I sent an email and I was given precise details and a picture, so there was no problem. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The only guy who assist me was very friendly and helping. No complains, on the contrary.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
