Very good hotel in Rome, walking distance (2 km) to Colosseum, Forum Romanum, Fontana di Trevi and other attractions. Lessons learned.. If you plan to visit ancient Rome, always walk with a guide. Sales people of guided tours attack you everywhere but don´t be scared, with identification cards around their necks it´s perfectly OK. About twice the cost (EUR 24)... More

I found this hotel through an American Express travel agent and it worked out nicely because it was located near all the sites I wanted to see as well as transportation, it was very inexpensive, clean, safe, and roomy for one room, plus it had daily maid service and air conditioning. These are all important features in Rome. When you're... More

This place was advertised on Hostelworld and goes under 2 names, Hostel/Hotel Termini. Outstanding value and the rooms are hotel standard, not like a hostel, just like a hotel, we had twin ensuite room. Far better than I could have imagined at the price. Raphael the manager was very helpful. Very near to the station to get the Metro but... More

Couldn't find it right away, we walked past it, the sign was small. Also the dark stairwell worried me at first, but apparently this is normal for a lot of old buildings in Rome! Went to check in at termini on the third floor, but a man came and helpfully informed us we should check in downstairs on the second... More

We booked this hotel because of its location. There are so many hotels nearby but they didn't look as good on the Internet. This one was rated as 4 stars and I think we would give it a rating close to that. The staff were all pleasant and efficient, our room was attractive, clean and had everything we needed. Nice... Booked this hotel thru Tripadvisor. Found it easily enough & knew we would have to book in at another hotel two blocks away. So far so good. We went to this hotel purely to locate it, and it occupied 3rd floor of a block of I think 5 floors, all hotels (one different hotel on each floor). A notice on... More

We booked this hotel because we were staying only one night at Rome since we were heading back from Florence and leaving to Greece early in the morning. You need to be aware that you must check in in another hotel Piram at two blocks at your right from Hotel Termini. The neighborhood is not very nice, so me and... More

As for the price I have paid (19 euro+3euro city tax) and a room for one night only it was very good. Clear, next to Termini station. It was quite noisy but I didn't heard anything becouse of my tiredness.

I booked Hotel Termini for our last night before leaving for the airport the next morning to go home after nine days in Italy. I booked this hotel mainly because of its location to the train station to make our morning easy to get to the airport. We had to go two blocks down to Hotel Piram to check in,... More

we walked to termini at 11 pm in our pajamas after forgetting what time our train for napoli leaves the next day! that's how convenient and safe the neighborhood is. NOTE: CHECK IN AT HOTEL PIRAM 2 blocks away from this location. for the money this is probably the best place you'd want to be! everything is so near (subway... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
