A wonderful setting on a hill, overlooking the city & adjacent to the Vatican. The bedroom was excellent although just a little small. However, the quality & style of the room made up for this. It was a special occasion and a wonderful chocolate cake and bottle of Prosecco awaited us on arrival. Lunch poolside is recommended or under one... More

Beautiful hotel and gardens. Restaurants were fantastic. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. Love the pool. Staff was very friendly and professional. Love the proximity to The Vatican and St Peter's Basilica. Complimentary transportation to other area attractions was great. Definitely would stay there again.

We stayed for a romantic anniversary weekend in Rome. We stayed in the red level - which costs a little more for certain perks. The hotel was perfect for us. After a busy day walking around rome we would head back to the hotel for a swim, relax by the pool and eat/ drink. The room was very modern, the... More

This was the first hotel we stayed at in Italy and it was great. We were here for four nights and the location was perfect for us, right next to Vatican City and the view outside our room allowed us to see all of downtown Rome which was an even better view during a sunrise. It is also one of... More

We've been to Rome at the beginning of October for 4 nights and we'd had a Premier room. Everything was beautiful starting from the room to the service we received, great location - 5 minutes walk to Vatican. We would love to return, Gran Melia Rome is a great hotel.

We spent 5 beautiful days in Rome and the Gran Melia Rome surely made it easy. Nice sized room, centrally located, delicious breakfast and wifi included. Whatever was needed, the hotel answer was yes!

On first entering the hotel you get the feeling this is going to be ok. The grounds are well kept the pool area is lovely. It's quite a large hotel but I never had the feeling it was busy although we were told it was full. The location is good 10 mins from the St. Peter's and say 20 mins... More

First impression of the hotel as you arrive and check-in is very good, the service is excellent and it has a modern boutique feel to it with a lovely pool/bar area. However the room was a major let down (We had two, room 107 and then 108). Even when we were showed the room, we were impressed by the style,... More
