This hotel is superb: nicely decorated rooms, though a bit small; the design of the rooms, such as the sliding bathroom doors make up for the small space; nice and healthful breakfast choices at the restaurant at the ground floor; one could also have lunch and dinner at the same restaurant that has a glass patio area; the pool is... My husband and I stayed at the Gran Melia for six nights from October 19-25 to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary in Rome. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodation. The location is divine- an oasis of serenity in a city that can be hectic on the streets. The room, the grounds and the common room were... More

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was thinking it could be cold and modern, however it was absolutely lovely, scrupulously clean and very well appointed. The common rooms were interesting and lovely. Quite a bit of thought went into the layout of the hotel and grounds, and the location and views couldn't be beat. I choose the... More

As part of our Honeymoon travels we wanted to visit Rome and have a little luxury! The Gran Melia was SUPERB! and exceeded our expectations. We had a long day from venice through to Florence for lunch and then down to Rome we were in need of some pampering. We were given complimentary bubbles outside at the liquid bar. furthering... More

My nine year old son and I had a stop over in Rome - the Melia was the Oasis we needed in the busy city of Rome. The staff were amazingly attentive - helped sort out breakfast boxes for our day trip to Pompeii and pointed out the best pizza in Rome (Dar Poeta Restaurant). Lovely to sit by the... More

My friend and I spent 3 nights here and were very impressed with the hotel and staff who were friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was fine, we had a premium room, only downside for us was the open shower room that didn't afford much privacy but we coped! The breakfast was good and the service impeccable. The hotel is... More

A wonderful setting on a hill, overlooking the city & adjacent to the Vatican. The bedroom was excellent although just a little small. However, the quality & style of the room made up for this. It was a special occasion and a wonderful chocolate cake and bottle of Prosecco awaited us on arrival. Lunch poolside is recommended or under one... More

Beautiful hotel and gardens. Restaurants were fantastic. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. Love the pool. Staff was very friendly and professional. Love the proximity to The Vatican and St Peter's Basilica. Complimentary transportation to other area attractions was great. Definitely would stay there again.
