Wow what a stay we had. Mario the owner was the most kind and welcoming host to date, The room was warm, cosy, comfortable and clean. The price was absolutely brilliant considering the standard of the rooms, service, location etc. I did a lot of research before booking and saw a much lower standard with rather bad reviews for the... The hotel is very handy for the Termini station and the Villa Broghese only a bus ride from the Colloseum and other sights. There are loads of restaurants nearby and the owner, Mario, is very helpful. He was happy for us to leave our cases there on the day we checked out. The rooms and breakfast are basic but quite... I lucked into staying here after my initial room fell through. I was just looking for something inexpensive, clean, quiet and centrally located. This place was perfect. It's more like having a room in an apartment in Rome. It was clean and quiet and the location is perfect - about a mile walk to the Pantheon. Mario - the owner... More

This bed&breakfast was situated nicely. Walking distance to sights was good for us and streets close around Agri Horti Sallustiani were quiet and felt safe enough even during evenings. Hosts were very friendly and the building had nice charcter of it's own. Wifi was slow and the room was a bit cold.

strike out from this B&B to explore the charming neighborhood--and beyond, all of Rome! Agli Horti, five floors up, offers comfortable lodging in unassuming contemporary style at moderate rates: room with en-suite-facilities pleasantly spacious, breakfast unmistakably 'minimalist' Italian-style--however, self-service coffee machine commendable; we had espresso and caffè lungo (didn't try the cappuccino on the basis of evaporated milk; machine also... This is not a hotel, the pictures would indicate that it's a hotel but it's more like someone subdivided their apartment and you're staying in his house. It's accomodation that wouldn't really be suitable for most travelers. Cleanliness was an issue and the owner was unable to give us the room we booked a month previously (two single beds) because... Great neighborhood, very nice and clean room. we walked practically anywhere by foot. And most importantly - the host was so kind, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much, and we recommend Algi Horti to anyone visiting Rome.

We stayed for 4 days in total in the newer building (via Raffaele Cadorna). The rooms and toilet are bigger and newer. Great location and in walking distance to all major sightseeings.Clean rooms, decent breakfast and a host more than helpful. I would definitely recommend this as a true value for money ;)

We stayed 3 nights here and couldn't be more pleased! Great location, although we were unsure what it was going to be like from the outside! Lovely quiet street in a more local part of town, surrounded by lovely authentic restaurants which didn't over charge like some nearer the city. Great bus route, 2 minute walk away, right to Vatican... More

I went there for two night in September. I have been fooled by the positive reviews. Of course it is not expensive compared to hotels in Rome. But there are many problems in this B&B and I do not understand how it received that many positive comments. List of problems : - the room is extremely small - the bathroom... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
