The room was very basic, but also very clean and comfortable. It had a "bonus room" (approx. 7'x8') in between the bathroom and bedroom that was nice for staging the luggage and things. The eating area was really cool, down in a cave. There was also an Internet terminal down there for a couple euros per hour. It is just... more

Three really good reasons to stay here: Paolo, the manager, is just great...helpful, cheerful, knowlegeable, enthusiastic, knows how to deal with Americans effectively. He is sort of the unofficial mayor of the Theatro de Pompeo neighborhood. Location at/near the Compo di Fiori couldn't have been better. Easy walks to some of the best Roman sites and highlights. It is impeccably... more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in September 2007 (2 couples from Canada). It was a great little hotel with very helpful staff, especially Simonne and Paolo who spoke very good English. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms had large deep bathtubs and a shower. Noise was not an issue at all. True there is no view but... more

Where to start? The walls are paper thin - you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the room next door and above you. The beds barely qualified as beds they were so uncomfortable. There is no view from the windows - they look out onto the hotel's inner area (not a courtyard) or to the building next door (the guy... more

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in June. The location is great and the rooms were clean and of a good size. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome. more

We stayed in this hotel in May 2006 and returned exactly one year later. It was as good as ever! The staff are extremely friendly, especially Paolo! His English is excellent and he is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very central - just 2 minute walk (or less) to Campo di Fiori. The room we had was spacious... more

This is a tiny little hotel in a great location within a pleasant walking distance of all the major sights. The breakfast is typical continental style, rolls, ham cheese, cake etc but it's more than enough to keep you going throughout the day. The rooms are also typical Roman style with cool tiled flooring and dark wood ceilings. Unfortunately the... more

We stayed at Teatro di Pompeo in January 2007. There are 12 rooms and the staff were just right to look after that number, being helpful, attentive and understanding. The room was large both in area and height; the bathroom was larger than my home one. There was a third room between the bedroom and bathroom with a bed in... more

The hotel is part of an old roman theater from 55BC. The location can't be beat. You are right next to church of Sant'Andrea della Valle. This is the church that where the opening scene of Tosca takes place. You are minutes away from the Pantheon, and the Piazza Navona. The rooms were not huge but perfectly adequate, and it... more

Nice place in the heart of Rome. I enjoyed the air conditioning - after 3 nights in a place without it. It was fun having breakfast in the 2000 years old basement of the place where Julius Caesar was murdered. Main drawback: parking my car - it is difficult w/ all the one-way narrow streets around. more
