very nice place. our two rooms on 2nd floor of main building were basic, smallish, but clean, and well maintained. great location. basic average breakfast offerings. wi-fi only works in lobby. hotel staff friendly. one guy a little chilly at first, told me i wouldn't like "real" roman food, but warmed up to me once we chatted a bit, insisted... My husband, 2 college aged sons and I stayed here for 6 nights during our 1st visit to Rome 2 weeks ago. We chose it for the location and great reviews. Being in the Campo di Fiori area made it so easy to see all the great sights of the city. We were in easy walking distance to Piazza Navona,... More

This hotel is in the heart of Rome, with everything in easy walking distance and a San Crispino less than a five minute walk. While the rooms are dated, the bathrooms are spotless, and I don't go to Rome to spend my time in the room. Usually, after a day wandering the magnificent sites of Rome, shopping and an belly... Our business group has stayed in the Teatro di Pompeo in March for the past 4 years. We have just booked our rooms for March 2010. We feel like a family being welcomed home on each arrival. All of the staff have made our stay very pleasant and the rooms have provided a perfect retreat during a busy meeting schedule. More

We stayed for 6 nights at the Teatro di Pompeo and we cannot say enough good things about this hotel. To sum it up: the location is very central (Piazza Navona and Pantheon are 10 minutes away, the Colysseum is 20 minutes away and the lovely market on campo dei fiori is one minute away...), the staff are very friendly... I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in the beginning of October. I was not happy with this hotel and would never stay here again OR recommend to anyone. PROS: 1) Campo de Fiori is a very central location if you intend to walk to all the sights in Rome. It is possible to walk to all the sights... More

Probably the best all round hotel near Campo de' Fiori, which is probably the best area of Rome. I stayed for only one night as they were otherwise full, which is no surprise. The location is excellent and the building itself is ancient (in a good way) and full of history. Rooms are simple but nicely decorated with beautiful dark... More

We love Rome and this was our fourth visit to this great city. We found this hotel to be in a good location for all the sights. Campo di Fiore is very close and an interesting place to wander around, day and evening. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and comfortable. The staff was always very pleasant and eager... The Hotel Teatro Di Pompeo is centrally located in Rome. You could walk everywhere. Piazza Navona was only a 5/10 minute walk and the cafes of Piazza Campo de'Fiori were steps away from the hotel. The rooms were very cozy and the staff was very friendly. Lastly, the breakfast included hard boiled eggs, which is hard to come by in... More
