Great location! Great price! The wifi was weak in our room, but that's my only complaint. I'm planning another trip to Rome summer of 2015, and I will definitely stay here again. Close to main train station.

Don't expect 4 or 5 start luxury. That is not what this hotel is about. Do expect friendly, welcoming English speaking staff who want to welcome you into their centrally located, comfortable hotel. Location is about a 10 minute walk from the Termini (just off Via Nazionale). In the other direction, you are about 10 minutes from the Colossium. The... More

This is a small privately owned hotel. I stayed in Room 64 on the third floor. The lift was very small, old and slow; and, this was the only significant negative. Breakfast was not extravagant, but it was adequate. Room 64 was large, clean and quiet. The shower was small but not unreasonably small (unless you are a large and... More

Stayed there for 2 nights, and was very disappointed. The room photos at the hotel's own site and other booking sites are completely misleading. I stayed at a tiny room, where you could smell the humidity, and where the window led to a back yard. Furniture was overly old and worn out, the door seemed like it had been previously... More

Dear Sir, we are sorry to hear you disliked the room . The one you were in is a standard single room . The reservation you did was not mentioning any particular request by you . Therefore next time please book with us directly to discuss this further. Thanks for your time , Sabrina More

Cute hotel within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Beware that the hotel is on the second floor of a residential building. You may have to lug your luggage up or down a flight of narrow stairs, because the elevator is very small -- and it can be impractical during the mornings when a large contingency of... More

Dear Sam , It's a pity you were here for just one night. If you were here longer you probably would have appreciated our continental breakfast with different selection of food every day . Hoping to have you here once again , Gabriel / HOTEL ITALIA More

Everyone on reception was extremely helpful. Rooms were perfect with beautiful showroom in one and bath/showroom in other. Breakfast served in what felt like our own private apartment. Breakfast was just right in both choice and setting. Location perfect. Could not fault anything.

We stayed here as second part of a 5 week trip. Located on a small side street, on the first floor, don't be put off by the entrance or the very small 1930's elevator....once in your room it's great. Staff at check on were very good. Our room over looked the street and still had authentic shutters to open along... More

We had 2 rooms for 3 nights then came back for an additional night. The rooms were very small on the main floor. The 4th night we had to go up to another floor and our room was larger but the shower was outside the bathroom, so anyone in the room could see you showering! The staff however was wonderful.... We stayed here for 2 nights with another couple. The front desk staff were great, as were the breakfast and cleaning staff. All very friendly and helpful. Both of the rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Our bathroom was huge, a rarity in the center of Rome! The room had air conditioning and free wifi. There was a lounge... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
