My family of four stayed at Retrome for a week back in July. This place was highly recommended by a good friend who said I wouldn't be disappointed. Boy, was she right! The staff Sandra, Angela and the IT/maintenance man were exceptional. We booked the apt. which consisted of 2 bedrooms, bath and full kitchen which was located on the... More

Retrome is not the typical Hotel place, yes BUT this does not mean it is not the best option. It's VERY close to the coliseum and a Gelato place right down the corner. If you haven't tried this type of Hostels as they call in Europe this one won't disappoint you. The AC was GREAT in the hot night of August... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed for two nights. It was such a lovely room with unique retro themes, clean and tidy, also very comfy beds with a TV and ensuite bathroom. The staff are so friendly, giving you a map of Rome upon arrival, very useful! And it is a perfect location! A minute walk from the colosseum! With great... More

Stopped here whilst in Rome, the reception is nicely set out and the staff were friendly and eager to help. The rooms were clean and the retro theme is really cute, just be prepared to climb a few stairs to get to your room. The included breakfast was at a nearby cafe and was also very nice, when we first... More

As the name suggests, the Retrome exudes vintage. The reception was decorated with bright Vespa helmets, vintage books and a colourful kitchenette where we were offered water or coffee. We sat on a big comfy couch while a map was provided and locations highlighted. We were shown up to the first level to our room. Styled with vintage boutique panache... More

I stayed here for one night and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice room at a reasonable price. The rooms are very well-designed, clean and comfortable. The location is close to the colosseum on a quiet street. The staff are very friendly & helpful, and I really liked the map they gave me of places (sights,... More

My son and I spent 5 wonderful days exploring Rome - mostly on foot because so many historic buildings are close to this hotel. It was a special pleasure to see the Colosseum and Circus Maximus each day and night. We really enjoyed the meals at the local Trattoria (recommended by Hotel) which provided excellent Italian cuisine. Our hotel rooms... More

We din try the breakfast so can't comment. Overall, the stay was comfortable. It was centrally located near to Colosseum(about 15 min walk) and bus 85 (5 to 6 stops)... More

OK, so this not a five star hotel but what it lacks in all those unnecessary frills it makes up for in friendliness and really makes you feel as if you are staying with friends in a Rome apartment. Love the area. Close to everything but without that "tourist" feeling. Plenty of good little restaurants nearby too. And thank you... More
