What a great place. We are a family of five (kids aged 15, 13 & 6). We had the apartment which comprises of two rooms, one with double bed and another large room with three beds. The mattresses were the BEST we've had in all of Italy. It really helped our backs recover every night from the long walks every... More

We've been meaning to write this review for months now and as a New Year begins we wanted to pass it along. Our family of five stayed at Locanda al Viminale in July and again in August. It was perfect in every way for us. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. Carla and Paolo were gracious hosts and bent... More

ROME..A dream destination for many around the globe. The excitement escalated once the flight landed at Fiumicino Airport. So we enter Al Viminale, late in the night around 12:30 and were surprised to see this wonderful couple and our hosts waiting till that time. Paolo showed us our room and it was a night then. Opened the eyes with a... More

Paolo was a gracious host! The taxi driver dropped me off at the wrong address, I called Paolo and he was kind enough to come and pick me up. The room was clean, had free wifi, spacious and to boot, you will get a typical Italian breakfast delivered to your room which includes a cornetto and capuccino. As a single... More

We had a little trouble getting there since the taxi driver didn't know where it was. Once we got there it was amazing all the way! Paolo, the owner, greeted us showed us our beautiful room, recomended an awesome place to have dinner (right downstairs), gave us a map with all the places we had to go to and gave... More

The owners are a delightful married couple. The room was clean, large, romantic, comfortable, with a great view. We were able to walk to all of the major Roman attractions, there are countless restaurant choices nearby. The huge breakfast was served in-room by the smiling owners. And they are able to pre-ticket guests for landmarks, museums and such, which saved... More

My husband and I stayed here on our visit to Europe. Of all the places we stayed on our trip, this was our favorite. From the moment we arrived, Paolo was the most gracious host. He warmly welcomed us, acquainted us with details of Rome we wanted to visit, provided us with a map and gave us some background on... More

Super friendly host, no question is too hard or too much. They gave us a map with the highlights marked on there. There is free water (even take away bottles), coffee and cake available in the 'living room'. Location: close to termini (we walked with our luggage) and tourist highlights, close to Monti, save environment. Clean room, although a B&B,... More

We had a lovely clean room, with good facilities. The family are really friendly and helpful. It was great to have breakfast bought to the room each day. WiFi was really handy for looking things up. 10 mins walk from Termini station. Maybe 15 mins to Colosseum or other city areas.

Gracious and friendly hosts. Spacious room, firm but comfortable bed. An easy walk to Central Termini and Repubblica for public transportation. B&B is central to most of why you visit Rome so ii is within walking distance of much of the old city. Paolo set up tickets for Borghese Gallery for us. Both Paolo and Carla guided us to restaurants... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
