The owners of this B & B are wonderful. Carla was so helpful from the very beginning during the reservation process, as well as throughout our stay. They were there for arrival, arranged transportation from the airport, as well as helped our large group with recommendations for dining and the best transportation possible to see the most of Rome in... Our family of 6 took a 2 connected rooms. The hotel is at 1/F but there's a lift so no problem for my father who's 70 years old. Staff were very helpful. On the date of arrival they were busy with another family but Pablo (or Paulo?) Took time to show us the places and restaurants around us. Last day... More

Such a charming and clean bed and breakfast near the Termini train station! We were there for 2 nights with a family of 14. Paolo and Carla were the most gracious, helpful and friendly hosts! They went out of their way to help us line up transportation. We would definitely return!

Loved our stay here. The hosts were extremely friendly, cheerful, and accommodating. Our dates for arrival changed a number of times and communicating with them about this went well. The breakfast is fantastic and is delivered whenever you choose. The room was huge and the AC worked so well we actually had to turn it down. The bed was very... More

Locanda al Viminale is, like many "hotels" in Rome, a few rooms in an old building with many other tenants. The owners are wonderful, and their limited English was quite good enough to allow good effective communication to us non-Italian speakers. Rome is a very walkable city, and the taxis are reliable. We walked until we were exhausted, then had... More

Great hotel with great hosts! They were very accommodating of our jet-lagged twins (had two cribs/pack n plays set up for us). The location was great, very close to the train station and convenient to see all the sites in Rome. Rooms were very clean and the A/C worked great! Wi-fi was a little slow, but I think that was... We're not sure how to rank this one. Our experience did not appear to be as gushing as many of the other reviewers have had. Perhaps their rooms were different than our's. To start, it's easy to find, within walking distance from Termini station, and also accessible by bus and metro. We were greeted warmly by the hosts upon our... More

- This review is not helpful - "Locanda" is an old monastery with about one meter thick walls, soundproof doors. many customers are on their honeymoon to the "Inn", everyone is happy .... I do not understand what you heard .... ??? I understand for the very young is not easy to judge for lack of experience. but the cleanliness... More

I do not look for very much in a hotel- essentially, I am looking for a clean place with a nice bed, not too loud and a bathroom that is easily accessible. And that is all I want to be paying for. What I got here was an excellent stay- breakfast was delivered to my room and included a number... More

A lovely place to stay - very central (close to via Nazionale), but quiet, efficient hosts (Carla and Paolo helped us with bus routes and gave us plenty of details of places to eat - thanks for the reco of the Chinese restaurant next door - really good food, and a break back into missed spicy food), clean and spacious... This is a special place. It is located on the 1st floor of an old building pretty much close to everything you need. What people have said about this place is true. Great breakfast, quiet, cool room, near transport. All true. I'm writing this review before I even check out because I want to add a little story about the... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
