Carla and Paolo were so very welcoming, our flight was early in the day arriving at 8AM. Check in in not until after 4PM, so I had asked about a place we could store our luggage until check-in. I was informed that they do have a secure room that the luggage can be stored in, but on our date of... More

My husband and I stayed at Locanda Al Viminale for 2 nights along with our son and daughter-in-law. Everything was perfect and Signora Carla was so hospitable. It was just 5 or 6 blocks from the train station and the bus stop was just down the street. The rooms were very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was huge and brought... More

What a wonderful find. This B&B is run by the lovely Paolo and Carla who made us very welcome as we're sure they do with all their guests. It's located within 10 minutes' easy walk from most of the favourite sites. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Our bed was firm and so comfortable. Our breakfast was served in... More

Great location within walking distance of everything, great room, facilities and brekkie, and the hosts - exceptional - the toilet broke at midnight and they came out and sorted it - now that's great service :) ... Will definitely return - grazie mille x

We had a wonderful stay in this B and B at the beginning of a trip to Rome. The host met us as we arrived despite the fact that I was not being able to communicate with him that our arrival had been delayed by half a day. He took the time to set us up in our room, show... More

I liked this place because I was treated really well there by the hosts. I stayed in this locanda for about a week and had this excellent room with the view to a city square as advertised on their photo (although this room may have too much outside light at night). Carla and Paolo, the hosts, were not only very... More

We had a wonderful stay. The B&B is very, very clean in an excellent location. We enjoyed every morning the breakfast in our room. Once Carla had to leave town and we noticed the coffee was not the same! Carla had great tips in and around Roma. At first we wanted a room with a balcony. We got the room... More

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. Our room was very clean. The staff is great. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning. The only complaint we had was that the shampoo packets provided were very small. We only received the ones that were provided the day we arrived they were never restocked. I'm sure if we would... A group of us (four friends) stayed here. It is truly a hidden gem with it's owner Carla & her husband, spacious bright rooms with spotlessly clean rooms. Breakfast was delivered each morning to our room. Tea/coffee available whenever we required it & after a days walking it was a delight to come back to! We walked into the centre... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
