We had a little trouble getting there since the taxi driver didn't know where it was. Once we got there it was amazing all the way! Paolo, the owner, greeted us showed us our beautiful room, recomended an awesome place to have dinner (right downstairs), gave us a map with all the places we had to go to and gave... More

The owners are a delightful married couple. The room was clean, large, romantic, comfortable, with a great view. We were able to walk to all of the major Roman attractions, there are countless restaurant choices nearby. The huge breakfast was served in-room by the smiling owners. And they are able to pre-ticket guests for landmarks, museums and such, which saved... More

My husband and I stayed here on our visit to Europe. Of all the places we stayed on our trip, this was our favorite. From the moment we arrived, Paolo was the most gracious host. He warmly welcomed us, acquainted us with details of Rome we wanted to visit, provided us with a map and gave us some background on... More

Super friendly host, no question is too hard or too much. They gave us a map with the highlights marked on there. There is free water (even take away bottles), coffee and cake available in the 'living room'. Location: close to termini (we walked with our luggage) and tourist highlights, close to Monti, save environment. Clean room, although a B&B,... More

We had a lovely clean room, with good facilities. The family are really friendly and helpful. It was great to have breakfast bought to the room each day. WiFi was really handy for looking things up. 10 mins walk from Termini station. Maybe 15 mins to Colosseum or other city areas.

Gracious and friendly hosts. Spacious room, firm but comfortable bed. An easy walk to Central Termini and Repubblica for public transportation. B&B is central to most of why you visit Rome so ii is within walking distance of much of the old city. Paolo set up tickets for Borghese Gallery for us. Both Paolo and Carla guided us to restaurants... More

I can honestly say nothing bad about the Locanda al Viminale, it was fantastic. Carla & Paulo were full of cheer and great advice, hints and tips on how to make the best of our time in Rome. The breakfast was a perfect way to set us up for day. The location was great in many ways, a 10-12 min... More

Lovely hosts, like staying with family, they go out of their way to make sure your stay in enjoyable. Coffee and cake on arrival and a run down on all the best places to see and eat. Rooms where comfortable and clean, bathrooms good, room service breakfast. Easy access to the subway. Plenty of local restaurants and shopping nearby.

This B&B is in a great & safe location. The rooms are nicely decorated, up-to-date and roomy. The first room that I had was with 2 single beds because I was with my sister. Although the rooms were pretty, the beds were very hard for the both of us. Then, I stayed one more night and Paolo switched me to... More

Paulo & Carla are lovely lovely people that can't do enough for you. They welcomed us & gave us all the information you could need, where to go, see & eat. All about the b&b (It's an old convent!) & what time we wanted breakfast, which is served in your room. Our room had the balcony & we were able... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
