I went a weekend to Rome together with my boyfriend to celebrate his 30 birthday (it was a surprise trip for him) and I booked with Viminale after having read the tripadvisor reviews. I was NOT disappointed - rather on the contrary, it lived up to all expectations. Very nice staff, wonderful breakfast served in bed and a great flexibility... More

Right in the heart of Rome, everything was within walking distance. The staff was fantastic in helping us get around the city and offered great suggestions on what to see and where to dine. They helped us with train schedules and even offered help even after our checkout. What a fantastic start to our first time in Italy.

We stayed at Viminale during our 2 weeks trip in Italy a few months ago and this place was one of the best places we stayed during the trip. The owner is very nice, he will try to do anything he can to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was a nice touch, very good croissant and cold cuts. They... More

Paolo and Carla really made our stay. They made us feel at home, showed us all the places to visit and really looked after us. The room was beautiful with all facilities and the hotel is perfectly located to visit Rome. We will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely four night stay over the Valentines weekend. The room we had was huge and very nicely decorated, especially liked the red glass sink in the bathroom. All facilities were excellent, location was brilliant, wifi and tv worked well and breakfast in your room was a lovely luxury. Most of all Paulo and Carla made us feel... More

My wife and I spent over a week in Locanda al Viminale, and Carla and Paolo were absolutely wonderful hosts. We were given the balcony room, where we enjoyed breakfast each morning. The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Our extended family, with three children, also joined us in the B&B for a few days, and they had an... More

Great B&B with very friendly, helpful owners and staff. The rooms are very nice, with beautiful ceilings, nicely furbished and absolut clean. The breakfast is served in the room and has got delicious danish pastries. It's in good walking distance to most of the sights and Stazione Termini. We'll definitely return!

What a great place. We are a family of five (kids aged 15, 13 & 6). We had the apartment which comprises of two rooms, one with double bed and another large room with three beds. The mattresses were the BEST we've had in all of Italy. It really helped our backs recover every night from the long walks every... More

We've been meaning to write this review for months now and as a New Year begins we wanted to pass it along. Our family of five stayed at Locanda al Viminale in July and again in August. It was perfect in every way for us. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. Carla and Paolo were gracious hosts and bent... More

ROME..A dream destination for many around the globe. The excitement escalated once the flight landed at Fiumicino Airport. So we enter Al Viminale, late in the night around 12:30 and were surprised to see this wonderful couple and our hosts waiting till that time. Paolo showed us our room and it was a night then. Opened the eyes with a... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
