This is the second time I have stayed at Locanda Viminale. The hosts are very kind and welcoming, the room was large and very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The location is excellent - a short walk to Termini station and easy walking to the wonderful sights of Rome.

You can find a lot of good B&B but such hosts are rare to find. I loved my stay there not just for the place but the hosts who treated us like family and provided us with a very homely environment. They take care of you just like their own and will guide you with all that you'll need. Cheers

Beautiful room, beautiful overall place. Very nice location. Walking distance to great restaurants in every direction. Absolute adoro Carla and the Emperor. Like an instant happy family. I went to dinner with them on my last night and had to fight for the check! I had a balcony room and the neighborhood was the real Rome.

This was a great choice for a night in rome. Locanda al Viminale is a short walk from Roma Terminale train station and also an easy walk to major sites. The room was spotless and spacious and the bed very comfortable. Particularly enjoyed having easy access to drinking water, coffee, and snacks at all times in the common kitchen area.... More

This place was fantastic. The hosts are extremely nice and accommodating. Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning at whatever time you like and is delicious. Additionally, it is in a great location, and all of the main sites are easily walkable or a short train ride away.

The guest house is a little tucked away on the first floor of the building, but it is full of character and was very nice. Our room was a good size, clean and had a little balcony, but we visited in winter so didn't make much use of it. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. It was nice to... More

We went to Rome for my husbands 30th birthday. We had a very late check in where we got to Rome around 11.30 and Carlo the owner was ever so sweet and waited until we made it there. The place is very welcoming and the room we stayed in was very spacious. My husband doesn't drink caffeinated hot drinks and... More

We had room #1 in this small guesthouse on the 3rd floor in an apartment building. Our checkin was friendly, and the room was nice. I thought the patio on the courtyard was nice. However, there was an occasional smell of sewage that was disturbing. The next day I did not feel well. While the smell wasn't constant, I would... More

Stayed in Room 4 for 7 nights in October 2015. Room 4 is a large room with a balcony overlooking the street. It is the best room out of the seven rooms which are located on the building's 2nd floor with a small elevator available. It is run by a husband-wife team. The husband, Paolo, was very helpful in reconfirming... More

This was a great place to stay in Rome. Approx 800 metres from Termini Station. And within 10 to 15 mins walk of all attractions except for St. Peter's and Vatican. These are easily reached by the underground although we enjoyed the walk to and from as Rome is such a beautiful place to be. Accommodation is quiet and the... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
